On CNN already. Lai Mohammed will come out to flip the script tomorrow. It is beyond shame and disgrace right now. These cretins couldn't get the social media bill to work and the only way out for them is to move app by app. This way, it will be subtle and no one would notice. So much for a deflated ego.

The Buhari-led regime is a demonic one and that isn't just the problem. The fact that a garrulous, shameless mockingbird disguising as a human called Lai Mohammed could move to suspend Twitter activities in Nigeria after a darned President threatened genocidal repeat on a people via Twitter and got deleted says a lot. I was said it that the day social media is toyed with is the day a bigger protest than the #EndSARS would happen. Some people's livelihoods are tied to Twitter but a serially failed regime is only interested in saving face because it thinks it has been embarrassed. |

Ishilove:Kanu isn't exactly schooled within the four walls of a classroom but his time abroad makes him look like he is educated until he opens his mouth. He is similar to Buhari but slightly better in that he isn't restricted to Shariah and allowing cows have a field day, literally. Other than these, he is a pure agbero in the spot light. |
Generalnomercy:Unfortunately, you don't know your own people. What Kanu enjoys is cult followership. People who have come to see him more than an activist but also as a prophet and a religious figure of sort. It is why people "worship" him. In my time in Enugu, people claimed Kanu had healing powers. Notice the bulk of the IPOB setup. Uneducated folks, vigilantes or some street thugs before IPOB. If the larger Igbo people will desert Kanu, the IPOB boys won't. Kanu's power isn't exactly in the Igbo people but the IPOB. The IPOB here is the troublesome infant that people love. Now, anyone who intends to speak ill of them or rat them out will be snitched on since most IPOB members are community guys. That's where the fear comes. Revolting against IPOB at this point means death and this doesn't exclude anyone. The people would rather live in fear and swallow their punishment rather than publicly speak out against Kanu and the IPOB. |
Wiseandtrue:Let's face it, everyone wants out of Nigeria at this time, particularly break away from the North but if you are sensitive and understand history a bit, you would have seen this and possibly how it would end. Boko Haram was once hailed by almost every Northerner. The people covered up for them and they mingled with communities until they turned on their own. ISIS did the same in Syria. They were loved and adored until they turned on their people. IPOB is/was loved. Now, it is fast getting violence. UGMs are being hailed and celebrated both on social media and in videos as seen. Yesterday, IPOB beat people with cutlasses and machetes for flouting the sit-at-home. The unrest has heightened and will remain so. This approach won't be different from that of ISIS or Boko Haram. Kanu will be enabled, even supplied weapons by people in government because they'll want to profit from the war. In the end, the SE, her people and military will be the casualties. The military will recruit more men in place of those they lost and move on. The SE will be declared unsafe and set back by 20 years and the greater loss will be on the SE. |
nairalandankrah:Your parents threatened to kill you and called you "useless" while at it? |
yemmight:Desperation gave rise to the likes of Kanu. Not like he had a life before becoming IPOB's director and the people's urgent need for a saviour brought Kanu to their doorstep. Not like he has always been civil. The sit at home should have been the perfect opportunity to share and remember the event of the civil war but it became an ego trip between the FG, state governors and Kanu. While Umahi said those who comply will lose their shops, FG, through its pocket police asked people to move about freely and Kanu threatened killing those who open their shops or choose to move freely on that day. If you take out the threat and fear, the sit-at-home would have been moderately observed. Kanu is a younger, more refined Buhari with no military background. |
"... Stay at home tomorrow. Complete and utter lock down. I know some people are very foolish. Around 12:00 noon they'll want to come and see if they can open their shop. If you open that very shop, that shop...we will burn you inside it. I know because especially Umuahia people are very stupid, that's where I come from. Very very hopeless people. Umuahia, Abakaliki and Enugu, very useless."

Yankee101:They can't pull the plug. They would rather tax it and profit from it. The crackdown in China is because of money laundering while that of Nigeria was as a result of the #EndSARS protest of last year. The UK, US and the EU are already working around taxing crypto-currencies. |
Failure44:If you've FUD'ed and sold off your assets, then you are at a huge loss. Cryptocurrency is kinder to long term holders than traders. The main problem with most people is that they want to get rich overnight, either with shitcoins or the proper coins. It doesn't happen that way. Of course it can happen but the chances that you will get destroyed is also higher. Keep your assets regardless of what your portfolio looks like at the moment. It has been worse than this before. |

I followed Hundeyin's article and discovered that his source is a "network guy" as it is referred to in tbe telecom world. His allegations aren't wrong, maybe novice and I quite understand why. What they did was track the calls of Effiong, Uduak and the calls they made. Network base stations effortlessly reveal where these calls are made from. I recall posting Uduak's most frequent states on Twitter because I suspected he might want to escape to either of them when the news broke. The trick is to trace his phone number and check activity logs on them. If the CCCRN has an issue about how Hundeyin figured out Effiong made his findings, perhaps they should explain how the closest base station to their facility was able to capture Effiong's calls right on their facility. Effiong on his part made a release yesterday indicting the DPO without knowing it. He claimed the DPO picked Uduak and them took him to a private property when he should have been taken straight to the police state. The state commissioner was on the defensive on Arise TV when he shouldn't be. The hotel Effiong first made his call is allegedly owned by Akpabio's wife, which she denied. What she didn't know is that Sahara Reporters, around 2018 published an article claiming the property belongs to her and there was never a denial. So why now? Looking up the business name on the CAC website revealed there are no registered owners/directors against it, which is very predictable and a common issue with politicians with registered properties. Cell towers claimed Effiong made calls from the CCCRN premises and they are never wrong. Never. Uduak is only a fry in the larger scheme of things. My wild guess is that there is a large organ harvesting cartel consisting of prominent people in Akwa Ibom but Uduak does the dirty job. The alleged Akpabio ties might not involve organ trafficking but ritual purposes. This isn't rocket science at all. |
cococandy:I guess I understand you now. I actually get triggered when I see discourses leaning towards gender wars. It is almost like we have stopped living as humans and only remind ourselves that we are enemies to the other gender. Peace. ![]() |

cococandy:You are married and prolly love your husband. Stop generalising what the OP did. It would have been a different ball game if every male on the thread supported his action. I know at least two men who refused to remarry after they lost their wife. One eventually remarried after nearly 16 years because the kids asked him to and the other never did to date. Just because the OP chose to dishonour his late wife does not mean every male is that way. You shouldn't be eager to show your subtle misandry/feminism. |
You are not a serious person and never loved your late wife genuinely. I understand people grieve differently but moving on from someone you dated for 13 whole years before marriage says a lot about your person. Single mothers aren't all bad buy most are walking time bombs. If she claimed her husband abandoned her, then find out why. It is crucial. You clearly haven't healed from the previous relationship but you are already conflicted with a mother of two who doesn't regard the deeds of your late wife. I can assure you that your late wife's kids are almost on their way out of the house the moment she comes in. You are better off alone for now. Heal properly first. If your kids want playmates or have fun, look for the nearest parks and take them there on weekends. If you can't do this, buy them distractions that could take their minds off the single mother's kids. Who remarries in 3 months after their wife passes on when it is not Kanayo O. Kanayo in Nollywood films? |
queenesthr:By WordPress, I believe you mean the ".org" or self hosted version because there is a WordPress version that works just like Blogger. Both are good for publishers or Bloggers but the major difference is that Blogger is nearly free, save you have to buy a domain name in order to personalise your blog while the self hosted WordPress requires that you buy a domain name, a web hosting package and possibly a theme and pay for graphics design to get a good logo to proper represent your blog. The major difference between both is CONTROL and LIMITATIONS. While you can start a Blogger blog without a dime, it is very limited and restricted. Since Blogger hosts your blog for free, you can't just publish or use your blog for whatever you wish to use it for. If it violates their policy, your blog will be taken down without warning. So no matter the name or fame you make as a Blogger publisher, you are no different from Tunde Ednut who must play by the rules of Instagram, lest his account is suspended over and over again. The limitation part is design. Some argue that you can get a unique Blogger template but it would mean that you would have to pay a developer or buy premade templates if you are not comfortable with the crappy free ones. To fully maximise Blogger, you will need to understand HTML, even if it's a bit. Enters Self-hosted WordPress... Nearly, if not more than 50% of the websites and blogs on cyberspace are powered by WordPress. You can do practically anything with WordPress and it doesn't end there. There are over 50,000 free themes (or templates) available for you to use. Most of these themes have limited options save you get full or premium versions. There are also special pieces of tools called plugins you can use to enhance your blog within seconds. You don't need any coding knowledge or background to manage your manage as everything is in plain, simple English language. And since you paid to host your website, you have limitless control over your blog and can write on anything without fear of violating any policy save you subject yourself to ad networks with strict policies. You might not be able to achieve a visually stunning, super fast blog on your own and this might require that you hire a web designer to further design your blog to your taste and also optimize the speed of your blog. Depending on the web hosting provider you choose, you will have to renew your web hosting either weekly, monthly or yearly. Also, your domain name must be renewed yearly. A downside of WordPress is that total control is dangerous. So many noobs often install too many unnecessary plugins on their website which can either negatively impact their blog's growth and even user experience. Bottom line: Pros of Blogger - It is easy and free to use. - Good for microblogging/hobby blogging. Cons of Blogger - Limited in options. - You are not in control. - Requires money to get a fully premium design. - Lack of support/assistance. Pros of WordPress - Limitless designs/UI - Limitless support/assistance - Periodically updated to stay fresh - You have total control - Gives your blog a professional, serious feel. Cons of WordPress - Hosting, domain name and premium designs are not free. |
FarahAideed:Buhari isn't sacking for corruption. This seems like a clash between Minister Amaechi and the NPA boss. Amaechi plays as major role in Buhari's government and it seems some other inhouse folks closer to the president do not like Hadiza Bala Usman, perhaps payback for insubordination or disrespect as NPA boss when they imported their luxury items. For what it's worth, I doubt Buhari worries about corruption anymore. The man effortlessly stands as a beacon of hope to lies, hopelessly, fraud and corruption. This move is political and it makes sense as to why it is. If Buhari was indeed interested in combating fraud in the NPA, the Finance Director and the NPA boss would have been asked to step aside for auditors and investigators to do their thing but it's Buhari... |

angelfallz:Wrong. It takes between 2-4 weeks for most people while it only takes days in a few. If he has stayed up to two weeks since his encounter, then he can show symptoms already. He is in his window period, assuming it is true he has the virus. |
JungleJustice01:Don't know what to tell you at this point but run a test first. I was privy to some HIV data in some parts of Lagos yesterday and I can only say most people qualify as vectors. Just get tested first, hopefully, it isn't HIV or some virus. |
