Go to her work and make her boss pretend there is a promotion party ( ) then have the boss ask her if promotion or a raise is more important. Hopefully she says marriage at which point you burst in and ask her to marry you. PS. I will think of more things. Hopefully she won't mind you doing it in public. A man proposed to a woman in church, made it this whole big thing and the girl said no. She was angry he proposed while in church so that everyone could see. |

Ibime: Tayo-D is a prick!
How many times has Jaguar Rover been Nationalised in Britain?
What of Renault in France?
Even when they are not being nationalised, Govt is bending over backward, giving em taxpayer money to keep them viable.
Almost all countries see their automobile industry as a matter of National pride and a cornerstone of the manufacturing industry. If there is a major car company about to go bust and no buyers are found on the private market, it almost always follows that the Govt will take a controlling stake in the company.
Who first started nationalising companies? George Bush or Obama?
Only an idiot like Tayo-D would follow his textbook definitions of ideology to the bitter end.
Hugo Sanchez and Castro were just poking jabs at Yankee over Yankees opposition to forced Nationalisation in Cuba and Venezuela. It is a case of Sanchez claiming one-upmanship on Yankee. Infact Sanchez said the same about Bush turning to a socialist. It is his running joke these days.
Unfortunately the delinquent Tayo-D has swallowed so much propaganda, and is so immersed in his hatred for Obama, he has resorted to the worst form of smearing. What is more worrying is that a man of his age and supposed education has such a limited grasp of history, politics and economics that his one-track mind cannot filter information adequately. He only judges world events through the narrow prism of a world view he imbibed from some dickheads on the radio. Lack of exposure truly is a disease. I thank God for those who have been exposed to all colours of the spectrum; especially so when I bump into people like Tayo-D!
Finally, Environmental issues are a matter of National and World interest! It is time to incentivize the production of clean cars. And since GM is broke and keep producing gas-guzzling SUVs, its time to force em to do the right thing! He simply watches Faux news and throws back up the crap that they feed him. He also tunes in to Limbo the uneducated fool and also believes him. Too bad after screaming with those air heads they won't let him into their good ole boys clubs. Many Red Necks hold the belief of this guy (Black Neck) because they only repeat what Billo, Pat and the likes of them that want things to be in a certain place. When changes are about to happen they start yelling communism, socialism, marxism and all the isms that can be beckoned to scare people that are easily fooled. |

Politics › Re: Anambra's Igbo Language Bill by savanaha: 12:02am On Jun 04, 2009 |
KnowAll: The problem with Anambra state is that her intelligentisia have migrated en-masse to the west in a self imposed exile expeditionary rendition with no intent of going back to the home state. The result of this brain drain is the half baked English speaking law makers in the house of assembly. To this law makers they are breaking new grounds but it is clear that the only ground that is broken is creating a breeding ground for social miscreants and hoodlums who are neither Igbo nor English speaking west africans. What I have noticed in this forum is that on one hand her intelligentisa want to hold on to the illusion that by revitalising her dying language they will somehow in their sub conscious re-connect with the home country, but the fact has to be told it is a mirage in their head and if care is not taking will result in such individuals sectioned under the mental act. @KnowAll your pretensious use of certain words to appear as if you are intelligent is not necessary. Arise from your inferiority complex and stop thinking that everything none English or white is bad. Japanese is only spoken by people in Japan and they have survived. According to you the inability to fully speak English or Igbo makes one a hoodlum. Please stop making yourself look more ridiculous, its not cute! |

NINETOFIVE: Am sorry these were all during the soviet union, I studied at Kiev state university, Ukraine, so I know.
1,The national language of Ukraine is Ukrainsky, as of the year 2000 you can only study Russia in Ukraine as a foreign language.
2,The national language of Belarus is belarusky
3,The national language of Poland is Polish or Polsky, they don't understand any atom of Russia and they hate Russians.
4,The national language of Latvia is Litovsky.
5,The national language of Georgia is Gruzinsky
6,The national language of Bulgaria is bulgarsky
7,The national language of Azerbaijan is Azerbaijansky,
8,Iranians are Persians for God sake, don't make me laugh.
9,The national language of Estonia is Estonsky.
10, Serbian has their own variation of Slavic language.
11, some very minute numbers of people from Afghanistan might understand Russia because they were offered scholarships in Russia after the Soviet Afghanistan war.
12, the mention of Mongolia here is laughable.
13,The national language of Kazakhstan is kazakhstansky.
14,The national language of Moldova is Moldovsky, so spear me all the blah blah blah. I think KnowAll is so caught up in trying to prove that making the knowledge of your mother tongue in your region mandatory in silly that his attempts to validif why such an idea is silly has proved to be an epic fail. Thank you for explaining to him that science and advancement is much better than knowing another man's language. He probably happily changed his Nigerian name if he ever had one to suit the English tongues of those he wishes to please. |

When people make statements that Van Vicker it an eyecandy and all that nonsense rambling about nothing you have to wonder if there are men where they come from. His not attractive, I never thought he was attractive. I watched a movie where he was married to Genevieve and was an abusive husband to her and his daughter. The acting was so dry and lame that it is fair to some up the only reason he is acting is because he is high yeller like the other Ghanaian actress that played Beyonce or some crap like that. |

NINETOFIVE: Makes me want to puke each time I come across people that wallow in this level of sempiternal timidity, I guess you are so convinced you have a valid argument, a rudimentary level of reasoning could not be disassociated to why superficial things are so important to you. Your warped thought process about the English language is an imprecation that blinds you from looking at the bigger picture, while you are slaving away trying to impress the original owners of English language, countries that pursue technological advancement in their native languages are achieving an insurmountable level of technological advancement. Russians pioneered space travel in their mothers tongue, to be able to understand what am saying, you are required to think, but literally you are NOT. Exactly |

bawomolo: a language class won't change such perception.
History and/or sociology classes would do better. A language class is definitely a start. Language classes are not places where you just repeat como se llama? etc. There is usually some history and sociology involved to help with understanding why certain words and sentences are pronounced. |

chiogo: In as much as I agree that one needs to be versatile when it comes to one's language, it should also be a matter of choice. people should be able to learn their languages at home, I didn't learn igbo from school.
Trust me, if one sees a particular language as 'foreign' although it's one's native tongue, 4 years of teaching one that language won't make one learn it. For instance, some people at my school have been taking french since middle school and some of them are even haitian (french and creole are somewhat similar), some of these folks still know nothing in french. Did it occur to anyone here that even though English is spoken in America there is English 9-12? Meaning that it is compulsory for graduation. Why then is it compulsory for people that speak it everyday? Why is it not a matter of choice for people to learn it at home? @chiogo Are the students at your school who are Haitain but can't speak French in a french speaking country? People in Igboland that would be considered Igbo but can't speak the language are in a different situation and predicament than those in a different country where their native tongue is spoken only during a class setting. |

Politics › Re: Can The North Survive Without The Niger-delta Oil? by savanaha: 11:02pm On Jun 02, 2009 |
mikeansy: Absolutely!!!
This is why we need to redefine the political narative so that the disidents in the North will know that they have allies
When we speak of the North as a monolith of people who should be feared because of their language or religion, we simply unite them into fighting some unhelpful tribal wranglings instead of seeking to build concensus with those in the South who are beaten by our poverty stricken Nation.
I served in the North for one year . . . . . there are all kinds of people in the North . . . . . even those who like bling.
We have failed to capture such dissident ideologies to help move the country foward . . . . . every society needs a healthy debate to move forward . . . .and there is no divergent opinion right now in the North.
OBASANJO tried to empower independent thinkers in the North . . . . .but when it mattered most selfishness did not allow him . . . .his worst part prevailed which is why we have a Yar'adua today I don't think WE are the only ones that sees the North, I think the North have their own way they see us |
