We are expecting West Brom for the Carling cup tie at the Emirates. No Tv coverage confirmation yet. |
Mark Hughes (Man City coach) who was your ex-player even said after the match that 'Historically it has happened before. I was in teams here where we always had a little bit of benefit. I never felt it was an issue when we played here. But since I have left maybe I have changed my view on that.' ayusman16:Please check it out here http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport2/hi/football/teams/m/man_city/8265746.stm |
whiteroses:10 years ke? this ma no steal, he's only a debtor. Tafa stole 17 billion and only got 6 months. Justice a la Nigeria. |
For those of us who have made so much money in the market b4 the crash, making losses is part of the definition of business. The worst hit are those that hop unto the train when it was about to crash. I guess when a warrior comes back alive from a war, it is only to prepare for another war. I still dey kampe. |
This man's debt is enough to set up at least 3 banks. The drama is just unfolding. |
Congratulations to Man U fans today. What a cracker. Everybody on the pitch was fired up for the derby. That was football at its best with several twists and turns. As an arsenal fan, I must say I enjoyed and could not really decide which team to pitch my tent with, in the end the better team won. As for the added time, whether Man U fans believe it or not, your club most of the times get big decisions in your favour by the referees, may be they have too much respect for the team or for your coach. Mark Hughes (Man City coach) who was your ex-player even said after the match that 'Historically it has happened before. I was in teams here where we always had a little bit of benefit. I never felt it was an issue when we played here. But since I have left maybe I have changed my view on that.' I think with Man city performance today, premiership fans will start to take them serious. The money spent is really working well. They are a good candidate for at least the top 4. |
Confidence is rising again. 7 goals in the last two games is not moinmoin. Bring on Fulham on Saturday. |
What matters most in the 3 points. We now need to watch the younger lads against West brom midweek. Anybody with an idea of which TV station will be showing this game? |
Can you have an erection at a graveyard? |
13 abortions!!!!!!!!! Is she still capable of concieving again? |
The poster must be a mind reader to say categorically that 'arabic is the reason'. Suspicion can only beget suspicion. Must we now x-ray all these man's actions with religious and ethnic binoculars? |
Eid Mubarak to all. May Allah spare our lives till next Ramadan and beyond. |
Prophesies always interpreted after the event. Since when did his God become a football fan? |
I'm proud of this group. An attempted kidnap of the useless minister followed by this attorney general of injustice saga. Nigerian will definitely tell these useless misrulers that we have had enough. Why is Yar'adua's cabinet full of these enemies of Nigeria. |
Lawro's Prediction on BBC Arsenal v Wigan Arsenal will be buoyed by their success in Europe midweek - they were missing about nine players for that match but they still won. Despite losing at Manchester City last week, they were in control for large parts of the game. Wigan are still very up and down. They had a much-needed home win last week but Arsenal will have too much for them. Verdict: 2-0 |
A tricky one as every team now believe they can beat Arsenal. We should be able to secure a victory over Wigan at the emirates. |
Can the gap between the ruling class and the masses be wider than what we have now? I support the kidnap but it should have included the money ransom angle. Sam Egwu is a member of Bokon Haram because he his forbidding education for Nigeria youths. |
I don’t think there is anything to celebrate about Nigeria, 49 years of taking one step forward and 2 steps backward. However, October 1st is my birthday so I have a good reason to celebrate on that day. Good food and drinks and nice outing with the kids, you are not invited, it is strictly a family affair. |
Many people that died for Nigeria are probably regreting it now as nothing has changed since risked their lives. I will prefer to live for the country. |

The Inspector General of Police, Mr. Ogbonna Onovo, has said the former chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Mallam Nuhu Ribadu, never visited the country to commiserate with the family of the late Gani Fawehinmi. The declaration is coming even as people are insisting that they watched Ribadu on television, as he was condoling with the family of the late legal icon in his Ikeja, Lagos, and residence. Besides visiting Gani’s family, Ribadu was also said to have demanded to see the corpse of the late Gani, a request that was also granted by the family. After visiting the morgue, where he spent some minutes, paying tribute to the late human rights activist, Ribadu left the country, leaving some Nigerians to wonder if he was not the same man the federal wanted badly. The inspector general of police, who was on his first official assignment to Lagos, yesterday, since he assumed office about six weeks ago, still maintained that Ribadu never touched Nigerian soil during the period in question. The IGP, therefore, challenged journalists to show the pictures of the former EFCC chairman they snapped while he was in Gani’s residence ‘‘Who took his photograph when he came to Nigeria. I want you to show me the photograph you snapped him when he came to Nigeria,” he insisted. On rampant kidnapping, which has become a booming business in the South-East, the IGP said policemen were not folding their arms. He added that security had been beefed up in the zone, especially in Anambra State. http://www.sunnewsonline.com/webpages/features/newsonthehour/2009/sept/18/newsbreak-18-09-2009-001.htm |
How many of our religious leaders speak out against the ruling class? |
I'm surprised to read that this is the 1st of its kind in 10 years when average Nigerians experience power failure on a daily basis. These imposters are really taking us for granted, but I know that one day, bush meat go catch the hunter. |
He must have been beating this child habitually before it resulted to death that day. If he had been cautioned / charged for child abuse long ago and deprived of access to the children, this would not have happened. May the good Lord have mercy on the child's soul. |
As long as our leaders continue to jet out to have medical treatment abroad, they will never pay attention to the health sector. The day they started establishing private secondary schools and private universities education sector started taking the bashing. PDP has said they will rule this country for the next 60 years. God save Nigeria. |
Man City has "reluctantly" accepted the charge because they knew they have no case. That stamp was wrong; appealing the decision will make it a 4-match ban. As for the goal celebration, Ade should grow up above these petty issues. Teves will be playing against Man U soon and I don’t think he will be right to go and taunt Ferguson if he scores against Man U despite the way he was treated. Ade is not the 1st player to be booed by former club and won't be the last. It is a price you pay for stardom. |
@Ujujoan, This is a nice checklist. I agree witj most of the recommendation. But how do you expect a man that has more than one babe to do all these? Ditto for the ladies |
IMF? does anybody still respect this stinking institution. |
Football made in Barca |
To the Arsenal fans and critics alike, the FA are no fools and they are reviewing both the V.Persie incident and Adebayor's alleged stamp. I personally wil agree with whatever decision they come out with and I think that is objective. My problem with Ade is that he deprived himself of so much accolade that should ordinarily follow such a wonderful performance on that day. He will need to work on his temeprament. I remember he once slapped a team mate (Bendtner) when he was with Arsenal. I rest my case. |
My worst boss is somebody I will never even pray for my enemy to encounter. Ironically, his name is Mr. Bestmann (chei, I hope he's not a nairalander). He has been frustrated from his previous jobs and because he's not exactly good, his frustration continued on his new job in my organisation. He never gives anybody good grades or promotion recommendation. When I had enough of his bullshit, I locked him up in the office on a Friday and bared my mind to him telling him how everybody he had worked with has no good thing to say about him. I told him if i did not get promoted at the end of that year, I will resign and look for another job. That seemed to touch his conscience, he recommended me for promotion that year but started his saddist behaviour thereafter. I have been transferred outside his department but the people currently working with him are also lamenting. I guess everybody will experience something like this in their career. But the question is now that I'm also a boss, what do my subordinates think about me? And you too!!! |
