TravelRe: Boat Conveying 28 Passengers Capsizes In Lagos by scholes0(m):
Please, I am also using this as a medium to implore the Lagos state government to send all those shanty guyz dumping wooden logs into the Lagos Lagoon packing. That entire area is an eyesore, and it is particularly visible from the Third Mainland bridge. An area that is supposed to be aesthetically pleasing as the pride of Lagos state, not to mention that their activities is now making the waterways unsafe, like what just happened today.
Please please and please LASG, Do something!
TravelRe: Boat Conveying 28 Passengers Capsizes In Lagos by scholes0(m): 8:55pm On May 25, 2016
Kudos to the LASWA and Emergency response for their swift response successfully rescuing all of the victims of the unfortunate event. You see, this is why the wearing of LIFE JACKETS on water vessels is ABSOLUTELY important.

PoliticsRe: Nigeria Ranked 4th In Africa's Most Powerful Militaries by scholes0(m):
This is an improvement over previous positions held by the Nigerian military in which they were ranked 7th and then later 8th in Africa.
With better training going on, government plans to increase recruitment, and the procurement of better hardware, this position will only improve even further in the nearest future.

They are all in bad state...except Abuja.

If cities were so easy to develop, why isn't Zimbabwe or even SA slum free by now?

There is only one city in Nigeria,Lagos...the rest are towns...
Excuse me.... a City is simply a large town, and Nigeria has plenty of that.

2 solid cities of 50k is better than 75 slums of 200k people.
That is why Zimbabwe's economy is larger than Nigeria's na.
Because their 2 cities of 50k is better than Nigeria's 100 cities of 100,000.

CultureRe: Family Of Late Oba Of Benin Are Tenants In The Kingdom-ogiamen Family by scholes0(m): 3:58pm On May 22, 2016
macof:
Actually Ogiamien is different from Ogiame. the Ogiame/Olu of warri is descended from Iginuwa a son of Oba Olua and an Ife woman
The royal line of Warri is also a Yoruba-Bini hybrid?
CultureRe: Family Of Late Oba Of Benin Are Tenants In The Kingdom-ogiamen Family by scholes0(m):
The Olu of warri is also called ogiame , since he he a descendant of Prince Iginuwa. The title comes from two words

Ogie (Original Edo word for king) and Ame (Water) = King of the water.
Although the word for King in itsekiri is Olu or Olaja.
While the chiefs are called Oloyes

I pointed out to Bini folks that the difference in names signified a change of dynastic lines from the aboriginal binis to new Yoruba overlords, but they came up with the story of Oduduwa being Izoduwa, then Ekaladerhan, now the voice of truth from their very own midst is exhuming the corpse of history which they are trying so hard to bury.
