This part is something that many have experienced.
Nigeria too is a very peculiar entrepreneur unfriendly environment where u can't walk to a bank and easily get loans.
Most times start up capital are minimal because they come from meagre savings or relations,then expansion becomes very very slow,if not impossible because you ain't even making enough to keep afloat,or making very little and can't run again to relations/friends because they either don't have,you haven't paid for your initial capital or they are now expecting to be reaping some benefits from you.

By the way,his delving into the petroleum refinery business to me was a poor business decision for a man so naively rated very highly.The world is moving rapidly away from petroleum into electric cars.
