obowo69:
Nigeria has taken billions of dollars in international loans under this current administration yet there is no tangible project from those loans coming to the south east.

But Igbo sweat and blood including natural resources will be used to to repay those loan.

If you are Igbo, Know this fact;

The loans that Nigeria is taking now with dwindling oil price and steadily reducing oil demand will take at least 3 generations to pay it back. The Federal and state government due to low oil revenues will have no choice but to start heavily taxing businesses including manufacturers and importers. They must do this to fill the oil money gap.

I wonder who will carry most of those burden since they are into business a lot.

With the amount of loans that Nigeria is taking now, If you are Igbo, know that it will take at least 3 generations to pay it off. Both interest and principal.

This means that you the Igbo man or woman, your children, your grandchildren and possibly your great grand children will contribute with their hard work, their blood and sweat to pay back those loans through taxation.

They will be paying back a loan that never benefited their land.

Ndiigbo, we have to seriously reconsider our future in this Nigeria. This is unsustainable.

cc: Pazienza,
In trying to sound literate you came out very very illiterate.
Your post lacks not just any tribute of a person with any kind of formal education, but actually lacks sense.
You ended up disgracing the average Igboman who I feel would not pen such senseless post.

Buhari is an unapologetic coupist Bigot.

Nepotism is the only thing he excels in.
I hate it when people attack him with the nepotism and clannishness tag, neglecting a wider and far more underlying issue;his monumental, gross and crass incompetence.
It serves him well when his lopsided appointments are just the focus of the discourse, while he continues taking Nigeria backwards in all spheres of life.
Honestly, that GEJ can be said to be better than any Nigerian leader, shows the monumental hole Buhari has dug Nigeria into.

Politics › Re: JusticeForUwa: Finally, UNIBEN Reacts To Rape And Murder Of Its Student by seborrhic: 5:43pm On May 31, 2020
From the pictures taken of her being treated and the corpse it's clear that that girl was not just hit with the fire extinguisher by also stabbed severally by her killer(s).
The culprit from my observation here looks like a jilted lover or jilted admirer of the girl.
The rape and then murder were acts of anger committed by a clearly sick and/or jilted acquaintance of hers.
The church security man or gateman must be arrested to provide information about what he knows about the assailants because there is no way he can deny not hearing the commotion because with such vicious attack the girl must have struggled or at least there must have been so commotion.
In advanced climes this murder would be a piece of cake:the assailants fingerprints would be on the fire extinguisher,on the clothes and even chair or floor as they restrained d girl while raping her.
Just match it against BVN even if there is no police fingerprint data base in Nigeria.
Her phone call log can even provide valuable information because if it's a jilted lover he would have called or sent her text to know her whereabouts in order to perpetuate this clearly premeditated murder.

anthropizzy:
Would they reduce the price when things are back to normal?

Hell No.

They are seizing this opportunity to increase their fares why are we like this in this country. Prices of diesel are coming down o.
The salary increase for civil servants have been completely wiped out.
A low income worker on say N35k/month living in say Ikorodu or Ogun border towns and working in Lagos would spend now on average at least:N1000 x 22=N22k on transport alone! No food/water or occasional soft drink to quench the thirst added in the workplace added, yet the salary is gone already!!
There are private workers that earn less than 30k monthly. How would both sets of workers cope?
So how do you expect such people and even the middle earners not to cut corners and engage in corrupt or illegal activities at their work places.
This too would impact on prices of items in the market and services because they too have to factor the increased cost of transport to their costs.
We are officially sanctioning corruption and cutting of corners in the society.
Health › Re: What Can My Dad Use To Replace Coca-cola And End His Addiction by seborrhic: 7:47am On May 29, 2020
The most important thing you can do is to make sure your dad takes his BP drugs regularly.
Coke intake does not cause high BP and is thus not going to have any effect on his BP.
I am sure he is not regular on his BP drugs and if so you are leaving the substance and chasing the shadow.
It maynot also be what the average Nigerian wants to hear, after most have been hearing numerous conspiracy theories and utterly nonsensical information of how soft drinks cause a lot of diseases;but 2 bottles of coke per day should not cause your father any problems.
Work on fact not hearsay, lies and fiction.
Don't link soft drinks intake to BP,definitely not 2 bottles a day.
Go do a sugar level test for him.

I predicted it right as soon as they used the Covid to increase all short distance routes.

Increase in cost of diesel was the excuse they used to justify their former raises, but now that that has gone out of the door, what is their excuse now?

8000 workers! Just like that?!
You believe those clowns?
They are obviously dropping that number so that if the state government intervenes, the money they would get money from 8000 workers fir a single month alone could build one of the ogas a hotel.
The actual laid off casual workers truly being paid by the agency maynot be up to 500.
So if there are say 7000 ghost workers, 7000 x N10000/month=N70million/month into someone's pocket!

He already had 4 children, was practically jobless and they were living virtually from hand to mouth from his wife's tailoring job,yet they still were producing children!
Yes,all birth should be celebrated but the bitter truth is that the woman caused her own death, aided or forced by the husband.
If not for their clear poverty, she would have been able to attend a proper hospital and received a proper antenatal care and delivered in a safe, controlled environment with experts on the ground.
But no,they decided to just be breeding without any thought at all of the welfare of their living children and the twin she was carrying.
Pity here should only be reserved for the twins and not any of the parents.
Childbirth is not a simple and straightforward matter.
It is fraught with serious risks for both mother and child. Its one of the most serious to be taken medical procedures because at least 2lives,if not multiple,as in this case, are always involved.
It's obvious she was forcefully delivered vaginally when the parameters were clearly not there and must have bled to death because in the forced vaginal delivery, she may have ruptured multiple blood vessels including major arteries and may also have had issues with the placenta. She subsequently went into shock which she couldnt come out of.

Princerobert:
Good morning all..
I want to share my experience while visiting both federal, state and the private hospitals in Lagos particularly the Lagos Main land specifically Surulere and Ebute Metta,
This happened on Friday 22/05/2020 ,as early as 6am my brother got a call that his neighbour is critically ill and that he is been taken to the Rando hospital at Surulere @ 2am and they refuse to attend to him. For no just reason all in the name that their is an order from above not to admit any sick patient and we told this lady in particular what do we do now that both private and government hospital don't want to admit, she said we should take him home ,meaning take him home to die..
We move to all the hospitals you can think about within Surulere, Ebute Meta and the Military hospital at Yaba Tech area no one accepted the patient.,one of the government hospitals said the doctors are on lockdown ,later we spoke to one of the gate men and he said they will not attend to us because we are not carrying covid 19 patient.
All this things looks like a drama but we finally took him to ikorodu but due to the time wasted, the doctor said the chances of him surviving is 30% and not surviving is 70%
Ten minutes later while the doctor was attending to him he gave up the ghost ." Died"
Now I understand while most mortuarys are full..
It a pity and it a shame on this country .
My advise if you are sick try to treat yourself very well at home.
Common typhoid and malaria killed this man, the typhoid outside now requires serious and persistent treatment.. It kills more than the stupid covid 19.
I sorry for my country, I honestly don't know if there is still hope.
Please if you have been to the hospital say from Thursday or Friday 22/05/2020. Please share your experience..
Thank you for reading .
So you just saw him and know he died of typhoid?
Please can you enlighten us how a typhoid patient looks again?

SolarEdge:
We noticed some rash in our 4 months old baby's sex organ which I perceived is a reaction from her diapers, we took her to the hospital for checkup and they recommended anti fungal cream to be applied and instructed that we don't wear her diapers for now while we apply the cream.

While waiting at the hospital pharmacy I noticed the attendant was taking longer time to attend to me, because the doctor had already written to them what they should give to me with my baby's file in front of the attendant. The attendant still asked how old is the baby I said 4 months. She was just giving excuses that she's coming that I should be patient, so I sat down.

After some time she brought the cream and some drugs. We left and got home very late last night, so my wife suggested my baby should start the drugs by morning but we should apply the cream given to us and we did not wear our baby diaper as instructed.

So this morning my wife decided to read through the leaflet in each of the drugs including the cream. To our greatest surprise the cream was strictly meant for adults and it was categorically stated it should not be used for children under age 18

Now, I'm wondering why would the hospital pharmacy attendant give us such cream. Is it that the prescribed cream wasn't available that was why she was going to and fro like the devil described in the book of Job in the Holy Bible.

Please what's your advise on this matter, is it a careless mistake or it was a deliberate act.
What's the name of the cream?

I have no doubt that that allegation is true.
Rivers,Delta,in particular, since 1999 have always been governed by criminals.
It's seems inbred.
But and because the EFCC has been ultra partisan and lopsided in who and who it prosecutes, governors and officials of states like Rivers would always play with that card to the public and garner support against the EFCC while they continue siphoning state funds like tap water.
I wouldn't at all be surprised if all Wik recent charades and agberoish actions were deliberately done knowing the FG will be against it and come hard,so that when the EFCC comes calling, they would claim it's just an extension of the govt vendetta against the state and refuse cooperating with the EFCC

So what is going to be the parameter to measure the severity of the cases?

Another question the LASG should ask itself is, does any case of COVID19, severe or not, pose any threat to the other citizens who aren’t yet victims of the virus
?
The highlighted is a very bright question that shows there are still some people that also think and analyze issues to arrive at a logical, sensible plan.
Though people may find it difficult to believe and scary to hear,I for one have long believed that there are several cases out there in the community, work places/ business areas that have contracted the disease, are not aware and going about their activities. They then ultimately recover as their bodies build up antibodies,as is common with many viral infections.
The challenge is we here finding a way to limit that spread that is inevitable,so that the people with underlying health challenges, that are vulnerable to the virus deadly fang, are reduced.
Another issue that leaders down here don't want to think about, until of course the developed world thinks it out and we do follow follow as usual is even d though dangerous thought that even the spread itself for those unaware they have it has been building immunities to the virus in people and communities, like a natural vaccine.
It's a controversial idea, but one that deserves some scientific study,if only we are a truly scientific study kind of society.Unfortunately we are not.

An agbero governor bans motor parks and largely thus commercial transport but orders supermarkets, banks, etc,to reopen.
So these people would trek from their homes to these places?

It's indeed foolishness and stu pidity of the highest order because IKDC or EKDC will just come back and remove the G&P and the next several months up to even a year, that area will not have light, because of d st upidity of a woman and few guys.
These same people will then have to beg, write letters and be forced to pay for the treatment cost of the beat-up officials in addition to other made up damages.
In addition Ikdc will also insist that at least half of the arrears of all electricity users in that area be paid before reconnection. This will run into several thousands per each compound.
What is a N5000 bill compared to a year without power,if even for 4hrs a day, then at least 10times that 5k to also be paid by these same people that beat the officials?
So long the government, being irresponsible didn't give a directive that disconnection of customers be suspended till this Covid is over,as other sane countries are doing, the electricity companies have a right to go after their money.

Rice is a physical product.
No honest person would tell someone to pay before delivery of a bag of rice or a physical product.
You either mention your office or shop for anyone interested to come and see physically and buy or you take the good to the address of the buyer or an agreed location,he/she sees you, sees the good and buys and both of you part ways.At most you add the transport cost.
Jiji and other online stores specifically even warn against people paying for ANY product before physically seeing it and concluding on any deal.
So who are you, when other big Time online retailers know the harm and tendency to defraud people when anyone tells you to pay before delivering.
Anyone that pays u is a big time dunce and deserves whatever happens to his/her money.
