I know it would start from the North and spread to engulf that entire region. It started with Kano bread sellers and now this, before you know it the whole North would be engulfed in protest and if the security agencies and goverment miscalculate in their response the whole country will be in turmoil. The hardship is just too much. The fatal error was fuel subsidy removal and Naira devaluation without deep thought of the consequences and safety measures. The goverment should pray and hope it doesn't engulf the entire North, the region that ironically is the only one that can make the government sit up because once you handle them with the same harsh, brutal tactics you employ in the SOuth particularly the SW and SE,you unleash more anger and mayhem. |
Once I hear someone harp on the believe that our local refineries coming back into production will solve our problems,I just know that person doesn't have a clue about how to solve the problems. Let pH,Kaduna,Warri,Dangote refineries come on stream 100% it won't solve the problem because cost of fuel will still be very high and cost of living unbearable. The Nigerian situation has now reached that critical point where wages have to be increased across board by at least 75% and naira unfortunately has to be printed. No nation can survive on the low purchasing power of Nigerians like now, caused by the mad policies of a scam that said he had leadership qualities |
PR propaganda of a disastrous president. If anyone had told me any person or even an animal can outperform Buhari in mismanagement and incompetence,I would have called the person a very, very big fo ol. After glancing through the gibberish and posting,I decided to even check the source of the story and I wasn't disappointed,The Nation. Nothing more to say |
how old is he? |
why parade them if this story is true A proper police team would have used undercover cops to travel with them to the alaba dealer and arested him in the act. The dpo and these policemen are just looking for cheap publicity while doing a shoddy job. Meanwhile, though its criminal to change the label or expiry date of a product, the belief that an originally authentic drug product that has passed its expiry date will kill an individual automatically is pure fallacy The worst that an unadulterated drug that has passed, even several years, its expiry date,is that its efficacy is reduced |
KillahPriest:Kai!Who actually made Nigerians a bunch of daft human beings, unable to pass informed judgement even when presented with facts! Fashola that failed miserably in power, works and housing is the person you are still advocating for. Damn, this is beyond St upidity! |
Round up people to give the impression of working. It's only if you don't know the police you would not know the modus operandi of the Nigerian police, been like that over the years, they would go to a joint or area noted for having miscreants, round up mostly innocents that came there to relax, take them to the station and call them suspects. Archaic policing still being practiced in 2024 by the Nigerian police. |
The truth is that most people earning in dollars are not spending those dollars. They are keeping it waiting for when dollar will reach 3k. It's only because baba Blu put the cart not just before the horse, but before the donkey that he doesn't know what to do. Naira will reach 2k before the year runs out. The only saving grace I see is if something terrible happens to Tinubu,he resigns or the hardship forces put to demand a change of leadership. Though I am as affected as every honest, hardworking Nigerian, but I have come to accept the fact that the man has come to destroy and cause misery either because the God's want to teach us a lesson or we are cursed as a country with bad leadership. |
If not that the military of these post 1999 years are more of same politicians, the situation of things in Nigeria now is recipe for several coups over. |
Emilokan. Economy he can't handle, security has now become insecurity. Funny enough, the SE and SS seem to be relatively calm. It's the economy, stupid! |
This is what happens when f ools are given relevba8on twitter. There is another one that ditches out falsehood and when per chance 1 out of 50 things he projects comes true,he laps it up and his dimwit followers sing his praises. When you point out his wrongs and falsehoods,he blocks your posts. Look at the nonsense has this one said, that Peter Obi,a non government official should be in Nigeria solving problems created by the government of Baba Blu! |
RepoMan007:The guy must be a born f ool. Imagine quoting that long essay just to type 3 sentences. Even if your reply is long, commonsense should tell anyone quoting long posts is annoying |
The Nation newspaper trying very hard, but very laughable to use propaganda to shore up the tarnished image of Emilokan. What will EFCC do to shore u the naira when crooks like Akpabio are walking not just free but with enhanced powers in Nigeria. The bitter truth is that so long that Nigeria is ruled by corrupt people,no amount of meetings can effectively curtail the doom we face. |
RepoMan007:I just did a tough calculation. That if someone had raised ₦1b or ₦1.2b when dollar was 1000-1200 then bought $1m with it,then waited just a month or 2,when naira now became 1400,that person would have made ₦200m just for having ability to buy dollars! Same scenario I think will continue playing out if baba blubalu doesn't acknowledge he doesn't have a clue on how to run an economy and indeed a country and calls for help from anyone that can help. The sensible part of the south is grumbling and complaining, yet the government doesn't give a damn;when the North cannot bear the hardship any longer and they demonstrate in the best way they know how, guess then baba Blu will take notice. Its already building because heard women in Kano demonstrated over the unbearable cost of bread, soon when millet, grains and onions too become unaffordable during Sallah, other parts of the Northern society will make their voices heard |
Brendaniel:It's the same simpleton mindset Emilokan had. Vian, fuel subsidy is gone, Vian float the Naira and Nigeria will now be an Eldorado. Now see where we are. I am only waiting for the Northerners to start protesting because it seems they are the only region that have the guts to protest against hardship and misery in Nigeria. Their protest is also effective in making government have a policy check |
pocohantas:Same thing. Wanted Obi to win, though my first choice was Atiku but I felt that power must return to the South because these Northerners cannot be trusted. But when Obi lost,I felt Tinubu was going to do well, but alas, just like in the case of Buhari, these are men built solely on propaganda and lies. When the failure became obvious, one then began to take a critical look at his 8 year tenure in Lagos State and o my God! This man's only achievement was the hype that when Obasanjo stopped Lagos federal revenue,Tinubu sustained the state from IGR only!It was on that basis that all other lies were built. He set up Enron that was a conduit of corruption, aside never ever producing one single watt of power. He left Lagos as a dump site, that was why Fashola was hailed when he started his beautification work. He never improved nor installed new water works, till today 95% of Lagosians generate their own water. He left roads in horrible states. The IGR from his heavy taxation policies also became one of the chief ways he generated his enormous wealth because I think 15% or so was going into the pocket of the company he used as front to collect these taxes. Many of the Hospitals now operating well were upgraded during the tenure of Fashola. Obi may not have done any miracle but honestly the way Tinubu has governed has clearly shown the man has little upstairs. Only a dimwit would have at his swearing-in announced that fuel subsidy was gone followed by floating of the naira without taking a few months or weeks at worse to sit with his economic team to look at all angles and how best to go about it |

Wanted to say may Ogun kill you there till I saw you were being sarcastic. |
remsonik:Shut up if you don't know how the system operates. On your first visit to a teaching or specialist hospital you must first see a just graduated medical doctor or a medical officer at best, they then give you an appointment for when a specialist can see you. In Nigeria, even with our doctors challenge,it's even fairer at about 6weeks to 6 months. In UK,where their specialist are "on ground",it may take you 6months to 2 years. That's how the system operates worldwide and if you think you can stroll in to see a doctor, unless it's in a private setting where you must be able to afford it,then you are deluded |
remsonik:Does this make sense to you? Have you gone to see a specialist in any field or doctor and was told none was available? You people will just open mouth and be saying rubbish,if they ask you to substantiate your claims now you would be stammering and saying you heard it from someone who heard it from someone. |
This is coming rather late because many cities experienced rainfall in January. |
Solowise0814:My brother,I can feel the tension in the air,it's like a knife edge and I feel breaking point is being reached. The hardship, misery and most importantly sense of hopelessness is just too much and something may give sooner than later. |
blowjohn:It's mainly opened by Yahoo guys that "hammered".They have no other initiative and see it as cover incase their source of livelihood is questioned. |
Obiedun:Tinubu's abject, already disastrous looking performance is making the likes of Peter Obi more popular and increasing, rather than decreasing his influence |
Newsfeed247:This one is a fo ol at 40. The fufu is it foreign, the Amala is it foreign, pure water is produced here,so what is the foreign product there? Even if we don't import anything,if the naira continues its free fall, farmers and producers of goods would rather sell those goods to foreign African markets, making it scarce locally and thus increasing local price due to scarcity. |
HajiMT:Even if it's 2000 or 3000,the most gullible and cowardly people on earth will not make a noise! Where else in the world, even that controlled by military dictators that things will be going so bad,so drastically without as much as a peaceful rally, not even a violent protest. |
Name the fucking religious sect if you are sure of your story Why mention at all if you are not bold and confident enough to mention the name |
How does this story even sound and how possible is it that such a thing happened. You were told to go and change costume of a 10 year old, went in,closed down and raped her,a virgin, knowing fully well she would be in severe pains, will be draining blood and be crying and sooner than later the crew members will come looking for you both. I don't believe this story one bit because I feel it's only a mentally challenged man that would do what the costumier is alleged to have done,at a confined movie shoot where everyone's whereabouts is known and absence is quickly noticed. |
We are in trouble . To be honest I felt Buhari was the worst thing Nigeria has ever been cursed to have as a president since 1914,I never imagined anything or anyone, even a monkey could perform worse than Buhari. We are being shown leadership that is already getting worse than Buhari's,it's just unbelievable. I also repeat that the severe hardship is spurning this epidemic of kidnappings. Innocent people would be picked because they are soft targets. Nigerians must troop out and protest all the policies of this government, all are the basis of the untold hardship causing the increased crime wave. I am suspecting bank robberies too may soon becoming rampant. |
Peterrio:Unless I am outdated or don't know how things work, but I just want to know on what basis will the person abroad help your fiancee to relocate abroad. He will just write a letter to the embassy that this is my sponsee, issue her Visa? And a married man helping a female, how does it even sound. As I said maybe I am outdated. If it was that easy and straightforward, then many abroad cities in the US,UK and Canada would have become Lagos extensions. |
Sahara junk. So were has not stopped taking Ijaw ogogoro and visiting drinking joints to source for his news. Even if Bello has to hide,it's from EFCC he would hide when the worst that will happen is keeping him for 2days in EFCC office then charging him to court for a bailable offence of maybe just ₦20m surety. 95% of what Sowere publishes are fake news |
MayowaTallguy:You are a clown. Yeyeye, all is well now even when the tactics is poor, but just because we are progressing, everything is fine to clowns like you. Super Eagles is literarily playing kick and follow football and you all are praising the tactics. Try and watch the match again, now the tension of the live game has passed and see if we were able to put 3 good passes together during the entire 90mins. Watch also the tactics, from the defence, long balls to a midfield trio that couldn't make a metre pass or long balls to Osimhein to struggle for. Apart from the win,the only other exciting thing about the game was Osimhein's ginger. Asides that the play has been abject. |
