This is deceptive and literarily trying trying to be clever by them trying to make it look like its soludo that built the project whereas its clear from the story that its former governor that did most of the work |
For a fact this policemen and women are suffering compared to their military colleagues so you can understand their frustration |
FairlyUSEDpussy:And you make 90k per day or on a bad day 20k' Na so |
Good, all these purveyors of fake news must be thought a bitter lesson to serve as a deterrent to others |
MissOpe:' This is more like it |
Rubbish Another copy and paste item meant for the foreign audience |
Manny21:Well said and captured. If it has to take a filling station 1 week to exhaust a petrol truck for almost the same relative profit margin of about ₦120-₦150k per truck, even the less popular stations may use 10 days;it doesn't take rocket science to know they have to either reduce the pump price, even if the margin of profit now becomes ₦2 per litre,to make quicker turnover,or they tell NNPC to reduce the price they sell to them. With say 450k-600k per month,or even 200k,you still have to pay staff, manager, fuel the station gen when no light, pay high tariff for public power, service your machines, pay truck etc. What is now left for you as the owner may just be 150k per month! I posted in another thread that even transport cost would come down a bit because of same reduced patronage and one imbe replied that I was typing rubbish! Whenever cost of a service becomes too high or unbearable,as fuel now is,innovation and reduced patronage will somehow in the long run benefit people because of market forces. Maybe not this year, but I bet anything by next year, prices won't be this high. |
Goalnaldo:This one is lost for good. These are the types that take Bible early in the morning on a road with overused shirt and trouser telling people to repent that the end of the world is at hand. They give their little change to their pastor on Sundays who rides in good cars, wears good clothes and lives in his own house. Gullible. No wonder they call them simpletons. |
farem:According to reports sourced from the op and the 2kobo blogger's hairy a rse. Do opposition criticism with sense not all these annoying kindergarten or shekpe influenced gists that would even embarass the narrator when he comes out from his alcoholic state! |
Osidoshit:Same thing said by 2 or more other posters here. For them to have now come out to lie about it or are not aware of what their park managers have done,is not only deceptive, but f oolishness by trying to hoodwink the public. |
Blaze14k:50k transport by road! Fear God or read the topic well if comprehension is a problem to you! |
HacheNoire:What will people do that will satisfy some of you lots? |
what a tragic way to go |
LikeAking:Besides that, did the pastor even contribute to his late season performance or as the commentators would say,he just picked form at the right time? I don't know awoniyi's level of religious flavour, but I bet he can't be more religious than Iheanacho and ndidi of Leicester.Does it mean their own pastors are fake or awoniyi's pastor is more religious. |
Titogbanski:Who are "you guys"? Labour strike in Nigeria over petrol price increase has been a scam and f oolishness combined. Fuel price is increased, prices of transportation goods and services increase, labour goes on strike.Goverment reduces the price to some degree, but the transportation and items that increased in price, never come down. The cycle continues.Has labour ever told or forced transporters and merchants to revert to old prices? Why has labour not protested the more than 300% increase in gas prices. Electricity,an item used by ALL households in Nigeria, bills have been regularly increased, but labour has not even issued a protest letter, talkless of strike!Ditto, kerosene. So why should fuel increase be any different. Yes,the pain will be great and yes the announcement was hasty and rash, but the subsidy scam has only made some people billionaires while the illusion of it serving the populace is kept up. |
Jorussia:initially 100% but in some areas been to 75-50% but it also depends on time of day. |
Given time, transport cost and related prices would normalise and reduce from the initial high levels because there would be adjustments and cost saving measures employed by people, forcing transporters to reduce their prices because of reduced patronage. For eg,many people that work far from their residence would start squatting with friends or find temporary accommodation near their places of work,so if they go Monday they only return weekends. |
vaxx:Either she isn't telling the truth or they wanted to use that money as a bait to make her acknowledge the husband died from natural causes,so as to give police the leeway they want to stylishly withdraw the case. But criminal case cannot be withdrawn by the relation, friend or acquaintance of an accused. Only the state can withdraw a criminal case, but you know in Nigeria there is no impossibility when money is involved. |
The one of Dangote is a fact. I have been drumming it to the hears of people even last year when this Dangote refinery issue came up. I posted in this forum on various threads that no one should expect Dangote to sell fuel at ₦185.I was even generous then when I opined that fuel from Dangote would sell at nothing less than ₦300-₦400. Even in areas where Dangote has a bit of co-player,cement,he has muscled other minor players to be fixing prices at higher rates because the other players can meet only 10-20% of demand while he controls at least 70%. Now imagine fuel,an essential product where he would be the only player since sourcing dollar at market rate to import fuel would be more like economic bankruptcy!Added to the fact he has massive debts to pay,in foreign currency!! ₦1000 or even ₦1200 by December is highly possible. |
My issue here is the kind of journalists we have. How can simple arithmetic of 185 to 500 be a more than 300% jump! @topic,it's an idea but that means many people will arrive at their offices and places of business smelling of sweat |
Gradually they will whittle down the power of labour and leave them in a position where there strike no longer has the same effect |
obinnanelson4:Buhari was an abnormal so dont use him as a yardstick to judge anything right in nigeria |
Olodo,do you think it works like that, Even if he wanted to,he is constitutionally bound to appoint a minister from eacb state in nigeria |
Go find something useful to do with your life instead of dabbling into things beyond your limited knowledge |
dre11:this makes a lot of sense because the whole subsidy thing and the figures about our true fuel consumption thing has been a scam right from day one |
Praxis758:Funny,how come your own "moral" African societies are the most underdeveloped in the world. From Senegal to Gambia to Uganda,to Nigeria, down the whole black African region with their hypocrisy of being religious and carrying out biblical injunctions, underdevelopment, poverty and strife rule the continent. Why has their morality not made them developed in even one single developmental indices? |
nlfpmod:Good. People have started adjusting and I bet anything with some time, there would be some reduction in the transport fares because the initial very high increase is unsustainable because people will start being innovative in transporting themselves, forcing commercial transporters to make some downward adjustments. If truly the labour force in those other regions are not joining the strike,it would fail because in arears where NLC insist on the strike, market men, self owned businesses and self employed people would want to go about their businesses. Only civil servants, particularly those at the federal level would comply with the strike fully, till it fails. |
Ashley01:Hypocrites The same men punishishing these girls are still the same ones that will go and do these same smoking these girls are being punished for |
I might be mistaken but i do sense sarcasm in this post of yours. While seeming to be chastasing the yorubas what you seem to be actually doing is gloating over the dominance the ibos seem to have established over the market |
They were busy drinking shekpe and smoking isi ewu |
More likely to be true than be untrue, Dangote just wanted a situation where buhari would get the glory for the commissioning |
