HRprof:In 2015 that there was unrivalled jubilation not just in the streets but in many homes that the "messiah" has come, what was the report card just after 6months,talkless of 4 years and subsequent further 8years of the cattle herder's monumentally disastrous rule? I even thought Nigerians of all faiths believe that it's only God that gives power. So why are some people hitting up their heads against the wall and moaning like castrated cows? Why not allow God to work if you believe in that motion and also that Tinubu wasn't crowned by God? |
YoungCabal:Need I say more! You just summarised yourself well for everyone. |
YoungCabal:If you go about opening threads that make no sense, even to a well educated nursery school child, how else can one show you on the internet the nonsense you typed? Do I flog or do I shout on you online? This is the only way people like you can learn,if indeed you have the capacity to learn. |
YoungCabal:Oponu! How old are you self? So an umpire declares that you won an election, but you now reject the result and say no,since these other people are claiming I didn't win, umpire come and conduct another election for me to prove them wrong. All these little kids with little sense to go with it creating threads for the fun of it. The only reason I posted in this thread is for you to know how I feel about your brain capacity. It's pretty low. |
This is the likely synopsis of Obi's speech: 'There were widespread irregularities in the election,as has been shown in several states where agents of the ruling party connived with some INEC officials to circumvent the will of the people. We intend to prove this at the lawcourts while urging all well meaning Nigerians who feel aggrieved that their mandate has been stolen and wish to show that opposition to do so in a peaceful manner.Thank you all and God bless the federal republic of Nigeria '. There would be no mention of Tinubu and no concession of defeat. |
orohbiro:Dindirin. Wike has revenged by supporting and openly rigging elections for Tinubu who connived with Buhari in 2015 by using all manner of rigging, printed and online lies and propaganda everywhere to unseat his fellow ijaw man,Goodluck Jonathan? This your sawdust brain kind of reasoning is so embarrassing, even for a 4 year old. |
Ibrahimcoomasie:Only foo lish obedients or Atiku supporters would believe this, just like only brain dead Tinubu supporters believed the Atiku, okowa and Tambuwal video. F oolishness and inability to use commonsense is not confined to any of the supporters of the 3 candidates,it's all round. |
Guobadiapaul819:Eventhough we all know the election had a lot of irregularities, this amateurish attempt at manufacturing a non existent bribing video just won't fly. |
NigerianAngelo:without even needing to verify,i know your illiteracy comes from the added figure at the end. Either you couldnt comprehend or inec made a mistake, commonsense should tell you that figure is 123,000,one hundred two hundred and three thousand, plus minus added number on the hundred The rate you people embarass yourselves in nairaland, not limited to party,is alarming. |
When did an interested, partisan minister become the federal government? The correct headline should be"Lai Muhammed replies obasanjo |
Dannyrayz:See the way you just disgraced yourself. LP share of the collated results so far is 93%,not that thats the overall counted votes thus far. |
Like play, like play, this will soon get out of hand. |
Is this true! 1million gap! This is the real tsunami of wotor wotor proportions!! |
seunaj:You think the imps know that. Many Nations in the world encourage foreigners to come and invest in their economies, giving them various incentives, even some as far as citizenship because they bring in capital that leads to development of infrastructure and creation of jobs, particularly if you can't get such from native inhabitants or what you get is not enough. |
buchiuzor:Well observed. Not just APC in Lagos, but PDP too in their own strongholds, these politicians won elections mainly by rigging, intimidation or massive inducement of voters with state or stolen funds. Even Kano is struggling with 1million,despite still having underage voters, unlike the past when they used to produce 2million votes from their a rses. |
Ezeama400:Why do u think they are called urchins? Asides being urchins, shifting the goal posts and speaking from not just both, but all sides of their mouths,is second nature to them. |
FreeStuffsNG:Why don't you check the source first, vanguard newspaper and stop making a mighty f ool out of yourself! |
Helpfromabove1:The way you people shift goal posts when it suits you is very disgusting. The Ibo people that sell in computer village and Ladipo do they reside there? So it's only Ibos that reside in amuwo odofin and okoko? What has tolling got to do with how people cast their votes that decided an entire local government? Instead of just plainly admitting the APC lost in the areas it has lost so far simply because majority of people in these areas from all tribes voted against the party, you are giving asinine reasons and putting forward disgraceful arguments that even a western educated nursery school child won't! Tufiakwa!! |
thatigboman:In 1999-2007 when they used to write election results in the sitting room of army generals then party bigwigs of the ruling party when civilians took over? Then they graduated to snatching ballots and results sheets from 2011-2015. A purely manual/party based election took and election results were announced same day in far flung and sometimes difficult terrains.Does it not tell you that those were doctored results. Clowns. |
15% turnout. As Nigeria progresses in its elections and elections increasingly become fairer and credible, parties will come to learn and strategize on how the Western democratic parties win elections:turnout. Imagine just what a 50% turnout here would have done to Obi numbers or indeed to those of other candidates where they have strongholds. |
Strafudeen:Without even checking your history,I am pretty certain you are one of those that praised Buhari and called him a messiah when he stuck to the naira change policy and deadline. Now that it didn't change the outcome of the election,he remains a disaster! Clowns!! |
CSTRR:His clowning is not here. Long, verbose posts with little substance at the end |
BARAJ92:Someone even pointed out the total accredited voters is even 14million,which if true will make it just about 15% turnout. So I was even over generous. 15-25% turnout for elections in Nigeria, very poor on paper, but it actually shows you it's a very credible election in Nigeria. I have always stated that any election in Nigeria where turnout was recorded at anything above 40% is a rigged election! All the previous elections with official turnouts above this 40% were rigged to varying degrees!! There are a lot of factors in Nigeria that makes any final turnout above 40% practically impossible. These include the primary facts that people registered in places away from their abodes, some can't just go to polling units due to logistics, historical apathy of the middle- upper class, disruptions during the election day, deceased or infirm voters and general disinterest or disincentive to vote that day. I always look at the accredited voters turnout vis-a-vis registered to know the relative degree of rigging in each state. |
femisplash:50million people didn't vote anything. The average truthful voters turnout in an authentic Nigerian election, which this one is close to,even with inducement is average 35-42%. Don't let crowd you see deceive you. When 3000-5000 people congregate in a field or polling zone with a voting strength of 20,000,it would always look massive, but practically it's still a poor turnout. So expect 30-35million total voters count,if not even lesser than 30million. |
ifihearam:This is neither here nor there! |
frankyychiji:The Kwankwaso rejection was pretty funny and naive. Funny in the sense that he was reported to have said he can't be vice to Obi but rather should be the other way round. This was even when it was obvious that Obi was gathering momentum and was becoming a formidable force, unlike a Kwankwaso that was only known and expected to do well in Kano. Naive in the sense that with him deputizing obi he had a very good chance of becoming a VP and thereafter even the president after obi completes his tenure and power shifts back to the North. But the clown had an over exaggerated sense of his political worth as a main candidate. |
CSTRR:Interesting hours ahead |
baralatie:The surprise would be them not porting |
Hopium:This point is without foundation and irrelevant because the north has been doing same. The SE has NASS members from apga,PDP and APC. What can you say about states like Borno,Yobe,Katsina,Zamfara that toll similar if not worse ethnic lines. They believed in obi and have always seen the APC as a party that has victimised and ignored the region and inflicted suffering, hence their almost exclusive voting pattern in this election. It wasn't always like that. |
ayomilore:Exactly one of the points I stressed. Next thing you would hear is that a senator or HOR member that won under the LP has defected to either the ruling national party or the state governor's party! There should be a law against that or at least stringent conditions attached to defecting to a party under which platform you didn't contest. |
obailala:There is that |
