Urheadmaster:
As long as Jesus Christ is seated on the thrown, tulubo and atikulooter will fail woefully tongue
So Jesus was not on the throne when Buhari became president in 2015 and He was still absent on the throne when despite Buhari's horrible performance,He still allowed him to be re-elected in 2019?
Please don't bring rigging or not into the question because going by your flawed, completely irrelevant use of Christ for an election determined by men, anytime Jesus of your Christian denomination is on the throne, only his choice wins election,no matter what men do!
Politics › Re: Presidential Election: NCC Denounces Plan To Shut Down Networks by seborrhic: 4:46am On Feb 24, 2023
The only comment I have here is that the moderator that gave the headline of this thread is a semi-illiterate that needs proper education and be relieved of his/her job because he/she is not fit to be a moderator with a heading that is totally different from what the NCC is conveying in it's press release

An ordinary councillor being allowed by few ill informed, poorly educated and embarrassing Ibos to be dictating when they move and conduct businesses.
Not just embarrassing,but utterly shameful!

The ballot paper is useless with Bvas.. No be those them accredit go vote?
If your opponent knows you are strong in a particular zone or area and steals or hijacks ballot papers for that zone, making it impossible for votes to be cast,he has affected your chances of winning.
So no voting via ballot box confiscation is also a strategy that can be employed to decide an election outcome

One dindirin,@nnachuks,even believed it to the point of opening a thread.
As I always say,you can take the jungle out of the Nigerian, but you can't take the average Nigerian out of the jungle.
Some of them refuse to use their God given, cost free number 6,and continue to disgrace their lineage,by believing anything thrown at them, even if it doesn't make any sense,to even a five year old!

After the election there'll be no need for the case. It becomes academic
They know it.
So they ate the bribes offered by the State governors while not also seeming to go against the Buhari goverment.
After the presidential election, every thing about the cash swap programme would naturally solve itself and there won't be any need for any judgement again.

I am stup id but you that believes online banking applications would be shut from today or is it even tomorrow, till after the election, has any commonsense?
Do u know how stone aged you sound by believing such fairy tale.
Why don't you spread your foolishness further by claiming all GSM network operators have also be ordered to turn off all phone and internet services from tomorrow.Won't that make more impact?

Pls help confirm…
You should have your certificates right from primary school to whichever level you reached, revoked and the paper it was printed used to scrub your buttocks,if at this age and at your adult age,you believe such rumour.
It's because the person or people that started the rumour from their a rses, know there are still adult Nigerians that can believe anything, that's why day in,day out, week by week, they can post somethings so nonsensical and watch as nitwits believe and spread it.

Honjoshy4u:
The question is;
Is Ortom paying salarieshuh??
He is not, which is horrible and despicable at the same time, but my own point is this;as poor and even horrible as his performance is,Sowore would not do better.
Show me one practical idea he has.
Let me give you an example:during the 2019 campaign or so,he said the solution to issue of police taking bribes is to pay the least policeman ₦100k per month as salary. When u increase that salary by about 100%,there has to be a similar increase in other ranks, maybe not to the same percentage.
Where is he going to source for an average 75% increase in police salary alone.
To keep up with worldwide practice of other professions earning better, you have to increase salaries of doctors, lecturers, civil servants and of course pensions will correspondly increase.
A constable or sergeant for eg can't be earning more than an engineer or a graduate in the civil service.
Are u as a government now be a government of only paying salaries.By the time you spend so much on salaries without practical increase in your revenue stream, you create super inflation and grind the country to a halt and a failed state.
He has other highfaluntin ideas, many non practical.

Sowore made sense here.
Vote wisely by not voting anything APC.
Sowore has never made sense.
Don't be fooled by his claimed activism, listen to him carefully and you would know he has that nostalgic African mentality of the bye-gone military era,low on substance, plenty on rhetoric to achieve an El Dorado overnight.
Even on press freedom and other public freedom,Sowore would not be better off than Buhari,as hard as it seems to believe.

Good.
How can inec use MC oluomo road union members, usually thugs and cultists to distribute sensitive election materials when everyone knows oluomo is a die hard Tinubu supporter that would go to any length to ensure Tinubu wins and wins big in Lagos.
He is also noted to be an ethnic warlord that believes other tribes cannot be deciding polls in Lagos
Politics › Re: Police PRO Reacts As Lady Body Shames The IG Of Police by seborrhic: 8:15pm On Feb 19, 2023
This spokesman is a big,s tupid,fool!
By responding to the lady's post,he ended up magnifying and spotlighting the IG's body shaming.
It's not a secret that the IG is not in the best of shapes physically, but many people have stated it and nobody paid much attention because it didn't affect his job,so everyone moved on!!
Why would this f ool now make it a public issue by replying this lady,I just don't understand!!!
Maybe the imbe that calls himself a pro is even one of those that have been body shaming the IGP but has now hidden behind the lady's post to make more people acutely aware of the IG's distorted shape.
It's like the Whitehouse spokesperson responding to someone who says that President Biden stutters. What benefit would that do if not to make even more Americans that ordinarily didn't pay attention to such issues, notice it and further ridicule Biden for it?
Politics › Re: Cashless Policy Could Lead To More Electoral Fraud, Seun Osewa by seborrhic: 1:57pm On Feb 19, 2023
obembet:
[i]Cash spent during elections isn't only for vote buying. It's also for paying agents of the party to monitor the 176,606 polling units in the country from morning till evening & prevent cheating by other parties. If parties can't get cash, it could lead to MORE electoral fraud.

Normally, parties would just pay them by bank transfer. Then they would withdraw cash as needed to pay for transport, food, etc. But in the current state of the economy, just 1 week to the election, they can't reliably withdraw cash; many of them won't be able to do their jobs.
He still didn't say how it can cause more electoral fraud, despite his Twitter rambling.
I still continue to wonder how a man that founded nairaland,in his views, thoughts and write-ups can always come out sounding and appearing dull.

Politics › Re: Obinna Ichita Hints On Reasons For Abia Underdevelopment by seborrhic: 10:15pm On Feb 18, 2023
This has nothing to do with the PDP.
The problem Abia State has is similar to that of Imo state, though worse;every Abian that has become governor after Orji Kalu strives to outdo his predecessor,in stealing the state blind;development of the state is secondary if not tertiary to their thoughts.
Their mindset is this:if Orji Kalu could have used the states revenue to enrich himself, crop up his businesses and built up a part of his village to a tourist attraction, they can at least do same,if not more in deviating state resources and accrued revenue to their pockets for their own selfish or clannish use.
However, the amount it took Kalu to embezzle to do the things he did from 1999-2007,is not the same it took subsequent governors because of the steadily declining exchange rate, added to the steadily increasing salary/salary obligation and increased cost of developmental projects.
So subsequent governors had to embezzle greater sums, leaving very little if any,to pay mere salaries, talkless of any development.
Ariaria market for eg has remained the same eyesore since 1999 to now because there is simply no money to do any meaningful development of that market.
It would only take the special grace of God for Abia and to a lesser extent Imo state to have governors that come close to any the other Southeastern states of Enugu,Anambra,Ebonyi,in that order, have produced.

Rather Tinubu's wife so as to compensate Tinubu because urchins have been saying Tinubu is so powerful that all he said have been coming to pass or granted by the government.
Infact,I see Buhari's rule extended by a year with interim government put in place.
After 1 year there will be so much marked improvement in lives of Nigerians that there will be further extension by 1 year.
Any f ool that thinks election won't hold next week is just being deluded.

In local parlance "who do anyhow go see anyhow".
Have anyone ever bordered to ask why is it that even when a policy also negatively affects the armed forces, they still carry out orders to suppress rioters and anyone bent on formenting trouble?
Simply because they know they could be easily dismissed with just a 1 hour orderly room trial if they go against the ethics of the work they signed unto,to obey superior orders.
They rather carry out such orders than lose their daily bread, with pension for life.
So any miscreant or state actor trying to cause trouble or mayhem better be careful, these army and police guys don't send!

I was shocked to read that.
Almost all pharmacy and chemist shops I know in Nigeria take transfers and have been doing for long.
Even some one man/woman businesses have been using POS or accepting direct transfers to owner's account, long before this recent CBN policy.
So why the lie that she needed cash to buy drugs!
