What El-rufai did in Abuja is what Lagos needs now. But unlike Abuja, Lagos governors are elected. This is why its going to be a bit difficult for Fashola and ACN to go all out on implementing some of these things. A lot of our people are used to the government providing everything for them. Trying to change this mentality abruptly may cost the ACN elections so the approach has to be gradual.
@Akanbi_edu, can you please highlights those things government are providing for the people.

It's like your village is missing its biggest slowpoke. You better go back there before we deport your azz back to the hovel you crawled from.

Lagosians are discussing Lagos matter, bushman sef dey put mouth! Imagine! The issues being discussed are beyond your comprehension.

That your master's computer was left on does not give you license to put your grubby fingers on it to attempt to chat with your betters. Even your team leader, Iragbiji-Ile, know say shoe get size.

As your name suggests, you better keep jogging until you're out of sight. Ignoramus jati-jati!
djustice please take it easy ooo.

In a decent society, tolls are only introduced on alternative roads with aim to solve traffic problems on the original route or road. Of course Hi-Tech is jointly owned by Tinubu and Chagouris, which brings to light the plan to forever plunge Lagosians into slavery. The revolution has began, No to tolling, No to tax free Income to Asiwaju,s grandchildren,
PoliticsRe: Subsidy Removal:GEJ Ready For Mass Revolt by SEGAD: 9:33am On Dec 12, 2011
These are the lies they have put into our head in order to stop our capacity to force change on them. Tell me an advanced country in the world that was not founded on mass revolt or revolution.

It is only thru REVOLUTION that the foundations for nationhood is built. Our problem in Nigeria is that we have not passed through that, because it is only during revolutions that the terms of nationhood are drawn.

You have heard of the American charter; you know of Britain and Magna Carta. These are the bases, the Charter, the agreement that gave rise to the understanding of their government.

India's Independent was a Revolution. Ghana's was because Kwame Nkrumah had was elected from Prison. Later there was also a Rawlings that helped to put it well into people's head (The terms of their nationhood). No one has ever drawn our own Charter. What we have is an amalgam of power hungry thieves.

Until we pass through that, nothing can work. It was only during Revolution that the ordinary masses will come to appreciate what government is all about. It is only after it that the rulers will come to appreciate also that real power belongs to the people (the masses.)

Revolution is like a foundation upon which nations are built.

I challenge any one to give me a progressive nation on Earth without a Revolution, not necessarily by wasting lives. But an forced transition.

Even the democracy that we all shout today, the human rights etc were founded on people's protest. People died to make me and you live.

We must be ready to die (if need be), to secure a better future for those after us. Or we all will ever remain in the mess. And I don't think God will forgive all of us who refused to act.

Because his first command as recorded in the Bible is that we should cultivate (dominate) the earth. It means that we should use our heads and hands to make the world a better place guys.

Ours is not just to lazy around and selfishly "enjoy" all the fun living on the sweet of past generations. We must also "sow", or certainly head to hell on the last day.
God bless you.

thanx for answering that question the way i would have answered it.

fergie treated this competition like the carling cup and he got what he deserved.
i can't even be bothered. there's always next year. united didn't crash out because of what happened last night but what happened in the 2 home games we did not win.

europa cup has a different flavour. thursday night football and sunday fixtures in the league(i am loving it).
team in transition forward slash end of an era forward slash cyclical doomsday.
united we stand, divided we fall.
Absolutely correct.

Toks2008:
If that will raise the standard then so be it.

Haba guys, look arouns you and you will see why this increment is so vital. See guys, im not just posting my opinion but i am making these comments from personal experience.

I graduated with a bachelor's degree in this same school 14yrs back having stidied Microbiology. Do you know that i never set my eyes on Electron microscope through out my 4yr course?

It is always strike every now and then and many of us will stand all through to recieve GNS lecture and we had inadequate lecture halls and i can continue to write on so many inadequacies so why can't we just raise this standard a little.

ACN gives free education from primary to secondary level and decides to hands off tertiary education funding so what.

I believe if the government can implement a flexible mode of payment i believe a pepper seller can afford to pay 250k withing 5/6months peiod.

Lets not be hypocritical here cos i knw that many of use will rather prefer to send our children to the western countries to bag a degree not minding the millions of naira they will spend. Nonsense.

I paid N90 through out my 4yr stay and i saw the rot and low standard of education so please lets make a change.

If you have 4 children that are qualified to for a tertiary education, send one there and let the rest wait or take up vocational jobs in order to save up.

Education is not cheap and this is why No nigerian universities make up top best 50 in world ranking
Bros you are right but responsible governments don't increase fees by 1000%.
PoliticsRe: Lagos Monarchs Get N46m Car Gift From Fashola by SEGAD: 3:46pm On Dec 08, 2011
Eko Ile:
1. This is the law and constitution of LAGOS STATE.

Lagosians asked the Government to take care of traditional rulers, buy them cars and provide them with police security and this has been going on since day one.

2. This is the responsibility of all the governments in our 36 states.

3. Get a Nigerian civic education book and read to alleviate your ignorance.
You are right.

The responsibilities are for all state governments.

I really don’t subscribe to over-hype Lagos Fashola achievements because I cannot see any. I recently travelled down to Enugu state on official assignment and to my big surprised I see good roads. I discovered that developments in Lagos are more of media hype than really developments.
