Studies have somewhat inferred that intelligence/ brilliance comes mor from the mother, while the father contributes moe to the ccharacter.... |
Long and short of the story: Get a Civil Engineer or Builder, preferably an experienced one. If you dont know one, contact friends who can recommend one for you. And open up to him about what you want as against what you have. He would be able to advise on the way to go and save you lots of hassles, both construction wise and financially. Too many people (unfortunately due to the harsh economic situation) would.want to shunt many construction processes to save cost or cut corners, in the end the amount they spend repairing mistakes or building wrongly, end up being more than they ever expected. |
surestakes:Are you sure you've met Nigerian engineers? |
Lol. Afi "soup Oprah" na! Op. Its Soap Opera! |
This is the mos pictorialy detailed thread iI've seen on this section. Good job op. |
You mailed me? |
Etebo! |
victorazy:Lol. Overzealousness. Just tell him ( with a smile) to allow you do your job. |
quickly:Sorry, I'm not getting your point. I am also a Civil Engr by the way. Engrs don't necessarily "verify" architectural drawings; they just produce structural/desigin drawings, and in some cases advise the architect on the feasibility of such projects going forward. This is however different from the point I was trying to make. |
victorazy:Are you doing a government project? If so, then the Q.S.for the FCDA has the prerogative to advice on whether to add scope to a project or not; especially when they are trying to keep the project costs within budget as priced in the B.O.Q. Beyond this, just tell the person to face his duties while you face yours. |
daretodiffer:Ehh. I agree the buck would finally stop at his table but there are different units for different parts of Lagos. There are even he local govt arms who will probably collect money instead of in forcing rules. Has kachikwu been suspended for the fuel issue? |
daretodiffer:Not bad people. The ENGR has particularly been a victim of office politics in the past. Can't go too deep. |
Engr Adeigbe and Mr Dosunmu! Wow. I really pity ENGR Adeigbe the most. I guess the politics of blame and report must have gone on underneath. A good ENGR. But sometimes not good on the work place politics thing. Really sad. |
Michael Jackson y'all! ![]() |
Wow . This is close to my former site. Was checking out their construction work.some months back and was trying to work out their construction process; some things were a little hasty there but I couldn't yet determine if it would affect the structures' integrity. Oh well. Developers should note that that any increase in speed of work can easily affect the quality if not well checked. And that's assuming they used the right materials ab initio. |
Lol. You never jam 2 yrs. |
In every way possible, the essence and letters of this ops defence is damaging even more to Islam than those who slam it. His allusion to the sexual conditions of the victim is a typical defence of rapists. His biblical examples are unrelated and at best dodgy. You think we don't want to hear from Yinusa? Who kept him from talking? The Punch? Like it has been said over and over again. This is a criminal case. Those involved in this disgraceful conduct should all face the music no matter how highly placed. The fact that Islam influence everyday actions and even cultures of Muslims ( and there are evidences of this influence for both good and bad); means Islam would inevitable be mentioned simply because its the common denominator linking most of the cases talked about. The op really should keep quiet, let this slide and channel his anger and frustrations towards northern and radical Muslims who put the religion in bad light; both online and in real life. The clean up should start from themselves. |
Well well well. As much as it will be good to have unity. Reality usually checks back. We arent united in this country. We only try to, temporarily, when faced with a commonn task forces us together; and even that is proving ever more dificult. Let each carry his cross. Use whatever tool he has to advance his course. Fulani carry guns and use mercenaries, igbos protest and give ultimatums, yoruba make use of political, economic and ethnic instruments. Let each do what he had to do. Something will give in the end. |
They may not have started mining, but they have started exploration. One is broader than the other. The op is right. And people should recheck their stance when making arguments. Its the only way you can learn. Don't be an idiot drumming on what you know even when you think you're right, rechck it again. The essence of forums like this is to improve ones knowledge and understanding of issues. Let's not put out the wrong knowledge and info by being idiotic in our ramblings. |
slimmy2005:Yet same obasanjo sacked her as finance minister and gave her foreign ministry as soft landing. Obj regarded himself as one of the Strong personalities needed to correct NOI's weaknesses. He showed us how when he promptly moved her away from finance ministry. Her second coming under the ineffectual Jonathan was a monumental failure. If she was anywhere close to the govt run by OBJ or Buhari during Jonathan's time, she would have been sacked and probably flogged too. |
Mynd44:Pastors do the work of psychologists in Nigeria - and for free too. |
Finally, some sense. |
Obiagelli:Beyond that, shame on everyone connected to what is going on here, including these videos. They should return that girl to her parents. Nobody knows if she was kidnapped or not but in any sane society, her case comes under kidnapping. Besides, the age discrepancies and the fact that in eight months a girl can speak Hausa that fluently makes the defence of the kidnappers really suspicious and worrisome. |
Oguguah:Nope. Most of the evil are in the middle belt. Get enlightened. And if you are saying their activities are unacceptable, then note that Yoruba take the same dim views of Igbo lack of sobriety and disregard of the hosts culture. Igbos here are saying that Yoruba should accept the way igbos live ( in Yoruba land), no matter how uncomfortable or dangerous it is for the host. I'm saying that thinking can be extended to fulanis too. Get enlightened. |
zuchyblink:Who says they want to kill people? Its only those who are uncomfortable with their grazing on their land or in their field. Unfortunately the fulanis have to defend their culture and also expect the uncomfortable host to get with the program or ho and die. When you guys make statements without thinking deep of the repercussions, this is how it can end. There's no law against grazing too, and those innocent fulanis just want to graze on your farm, shìt on your crops, stomp your fields and give you manure. Is that too much to ask? |
Double |

zuchyblink:Just like nobody can tell fulanis grazing your land with 5000 cattle how to live their lives. Its their culture too and if you don't like it you can go and die ( actually they can help you with the dieing part by shooting you dead). |
mbhs139:I don't do licences bro. But I've been doing mine by myself for like seven yrs now. Just go to any local govt office and ask that you want to do your vehicle licence. It shouldn't be difficult. Vehicle licence is like 15-20mins while driver's licence can take hrs-yrs depending on your ability to pay. Just make sure you go to the FRSC guys available there. |
How much is your deep cycle 200ah? I want to know the brand names too. Meanwhile, is this the same cletone in oshodi? |
mbhs139:Even of you got it from someone else, they have a record of the last payment. Its just to click in your car plate number and your record comes up. |
mbhs139:The funny thing is that even if you don't process your vehicle license for five years, whenever you're ready, they'll calculate the five years arrears for you. So in the end, if you add the amount you used to settle; you've only ended up cheating yourself. |

and he was commanding me.
