LiteratureRe: Hiss - A Short Story by Seun(mod): 9:47am On Jan 21, 2007
Part of the motivation for writing is a desire to express one's deepest thoughts and be understood or accepted.
RomanceRe: hmmm by Seun(mod): 8:23am On Jan 21, 2007
It's a very bad idea to say no to men. You may end up not getting HIV, and that will be just nasty!
Music/RadioRe: Genevieve Nnaji in the Music Profession? by Seun(mod): 8:22am On Jan 21, 2007
But for her unfortunate choice of lyrics for the first single, she might have sold millions of records by now.
FamilyRe: Do Wives Deserve A Slap Or Two To Caution Them? by Seun(mod): 8:20am On Jan 21, 2007
What will you do that won't get you into prison? Please, violence is not the answer; just dump him immediately.
CrimeRe: You Are Free To Rape Virgin Girls Says The Bible by Seun(mod): 8:17am On Jan 21, 2007
The NIV translation and similar translations are created by teams of bible scholars.

No matter how knowledgeable you are, you can't claim to know more than a team of knowledgeable people like you.
Music/RadioRe: Tired Of Listening To 2Face CD? by Seun(mod): 8:10am On Jan 21, 2007
Too much of any good thing is bad!
PoliticsRe: Is Nigeria A Failed State? by Seun(mod): 7:56am On Jan 21, 2007
>> No good roads
Some roads are good. More roads will be good if transportation was privatized.

>> No electricity
We have generators. The illusion of 'free power' is responsible for our problems here.

>> No pipe born water
We have bore-holes and wells that provide us with free water without costing us any tax-money.

>> No job for the youths
Bullshit. There are enough jobs for those who are responsible enough to employ themselves.

>> No good transportation means
We have okadas, taxis and commercial buses. Lagos traffic is bad, but the same is true of New York.

So, Nigeria is a good place that is improving. We are much better than all those African nations at war.
If we were at war, you wouldn't be thinking about good roads and employment. You'd be thinking about your life!
Christianity EtcRe: Is God A Politician? by Seun(mod): 7:47am On Jan 21, 2007
For the LORD is our judge, the LORD is our lawgiver, the LORD is our king; he will save us.
The nations around Israel had judges, lawgivers and kings.
The prophet was simply making a case for Theocracy.
He was simply saying, "we will have no illusion of democracy in this land because God is our dictator".
TV/MoviesRe: Nollywood: Copycats by Seun(mod): 7:16am On Jan 21, 2007
Yes, that's true. Such movies are known as "remakes".
Tech JobsRe: School Management Software! Anybody? by Seun(mod): 7:16am On Jan 21, 2007
Which is why, if you're cost-sensitive, you should buy an already designed package via the Internet.
ComputersRe: Bill Gates: Business Guru Or Computer Genius? by Seun(mod): 1:26pm On Jan 20, 2007
Business guru. Entrepreneurship rules because no one man can't write an operating system or office suite alone.
PoliticsRe: Is Nigeria Worth Dying For? by Seun(mod): 12:58pm On Jan 20, 2007
All this dying talk is nonsense. If you'd died for Nigeria, you won't be here saying this. You'd be dead & forgotten.
TV/MoviesRe: The Real Problem With Nollywood by Seun(mod): 4:50am On Jan 20, 2007
But celluloid? The world is going digital, & digital cinema is the future, so why bother with expensive celluloid?
TV/MoviesRe: The Real Problem With Nollywood by Seun(mod): 4:33am On Jan 20, 2007
dblock:
there'll be a new movie studio for calabar and yeah there are plans for more celluloid movies
Buhahaha. You're kidding, right? Because the rest of the world is moving in the opposite direction!

Men help other men fund movies.
Why can't women help other women to fund movies in order to represent women correctly in films?
TV/MoviesRe: Nollywood And Animal Cruelty by Seun(mod): 3:22am On Jan 20, 2007
Chickens will get their heads ripped off by predators if humans don't do it. They're at the bottom of the food chain!

By the way, a related work of satire is available here: http://www.theonion.com/content/node/39105
TV/MoviesRe: 'Naruto' Fever in Nigerian Universities by Seun(mod): 3:23pm On Jan 19, 2007
Sasuke would have won. The sharingan sees all, and the chidori pierces all! Neji is seriously over-rated!!
EducationRe: Who Are The Most Educated Nigerians? by Seun(mod): 3:19pm On Jan 19, 2007
docokwy:
Higher education is the bedrock of any nation's growth. Educational pursuit in Nigeria is a serious issue, but for one reason or the other, not all Nigerians show interest in that endeavour. Therefore, who are the most educated Nigerians at the moment? The North or the South? The East or the West?
You left out other important categories like:
- the men or the women?
- the prostitutes or the nuns?
- the Christians and Muslims or the atheists?
- The tall people or the short people?
- the beautiful people or the ugly people?
- the fat girls (urhobo) or the skinny girls (lepa)?
TV/MoviesRe: Please Recommend Some Good Nigerian Movies by Seun(mod): 2:36pm On Jan 19, 2007
Is that a Nigerian movie? huh
TV/MoviesRe: The Real Problem With Nollywood by Seun(mod): 11:58pm On Jan 18, 2007
Maybe they do write scripts and the bone-head men refuse to help them with monetary funding
Why can't women fund their own movies? They are too busy buying clothes to make themselves pretty for men!
BusinessRe: Is Nigeria's Gdp Really Only Comparable To The Island Of Hawaii?! by Seun(mod): 11:31pm On Jan 18, 2007
Does GDP put food on the table? How did the post-September-11 GDP increase help Americans? Please.
FamilyRe: Child Abuse And Street Hawking In Nigeria. by Seun(mod): 11:27pm On Jan 18, 2007
I am against child abuse, but street hawking is not necessarily a manifestation of child abuse.
Please allow the poor children to enjoy some dignity of labor. At least they are working instead of stealing.
TV/MoviesRe: The Real Problem With Nollywood by Seun(mod): 11:24pm On Jan 18, 2007
The portrayal of women in Nollywood is a reflection of the way male writers think. (I got such a script recently.)
Why can't women write their own movie scripts? Because they are too busy breeding and worshipping their men.
Jobs/VacanciesRe: Employers, Please Stop Frustrating Job Seekers With Unnecessary Demands by Seun(mod): 8:28pm On Jan 18, 2007
Politicians cannot create jobs. They are not magicians; they are liars. Jobs are created by employers only.
TV/MoviesRe: The Real Problem With Nollywood by Seun(mod): 8:27pm On Jan 18, 2007
Another point of view: We are not better than Hollywood. So what? No other industry is better than Hollywood!
