Lady2sexy, even as a Christian, you should know that conducting prayer meetings during office hours is wrong. You can pray for your workplace at home or in the church, but when you get to work, you should work, because that’s what they pay you for. Also, the workplace is a diverse environment and no religion should be favored. You don’t have to be a “satanist” to see that your white bosses are right to be offended.

I am so sorry. Dogs are not supposed to die like that under a vets care, but young animals can die very easily. Pls upload the picture of the stomach contents. Are they things that the dog could have eaten?

Following the God of the bible doesn't make a nation successful. You need peaceful educated citizens who work hard, good governance, etc.

If the God of the Bible made countries that served him great, Israel would have been the greatest nation in biblical times, because they had the highest concentration of Yahweh worshippers in the entire world. Instead, they were constantly conquered and enslaved by pagan nations.

If you have sex with someone in a dream, it shows that you are sexually attracted to that person. That is all. Sexual attraction is natural; it’s what motivates us to “be fruitful and multiply” like most other animals. Stop indulging in baseless fantasies.

None of those things are unique to our time. They have been happening throughout history and will continue to happen until we go extinct.

The term “Holy Ghost” is definitely weird, considering what the word “ghost” means.

If your mind wanders during prayer it may be because you have said everything you want to say to God at the time. Instead of repeating yourself unnecessarily, why not just end the prayer session at that point and find something more interesting to do with your time?

religious knowledge is not important at all, it’s just basically teaching 21st century children about Bronze Age beliefs. Religious knowledge will make sane and normal humans do things only insane people can do. How do you teach the story of Adam and Eve or oduduwa and lamurudu with evolution?

You teach the stories of Adam and Eve and Oduduwa and Lamurudu as stories that different groups of people believe to be true, not as hard facts that students must believe. And you teach evolution as the scientific consensus. If we are to get along better with people whose beliefs are different from ours, knowing what they believe is the first step.

Religious knowledge is important. Every student should be able to describe the beliefs of Christians, Muslims, traditionalists, and atheists.

Nobody needs to provide any evidence for you especially since none would suffice (as you would always try to find a way around it). The only one who can convince you IS YOU. So you alone can source for what you can convincingly term as "evidence" for God.

Why does all the evidence for God have to be so flimsy that it falls apart when you subject it to any amount of intellectual scrutiny? If God exists and wants us to believe that he exists, he can surely figure out how to convince every atheist beyond any reasonable doubt. Since that has not happened, we can conclude that he either doesn’t exist or, if he exists, then he doesn’t want us to believe that he exists.

Ironically a lot of what we painstakingly want to look for as evidence in far places have actually been right in front of us all along.

Would you allow your wife to marry 3 other husbands and beat you when you disobey her in exchange for letting you wear hidden jewellery? The 'benefits' that Islam offers to women are trivial things that are also beneficial to men. The benefits it offers to men are important things.

A man must provide for all the needs not the woman

Which makes the woman completely dependent on her husband and incapable of leaving him when he beats her and marries other women.

As a novice that I am I went to a cousin who is also a pastor to explain why women now speak in churches but his argument was not convincing so I pressed further and he became slightly angry(he's way older) so I had to quit it.

To answer your question, women now speak in churches because many churches realise that misogynistic practices are not beneficial to them anymore due to the popularity of feminism and the more prominent role that women now play in society. The fact that Paul was totally against it doesn't stop them because they can just say that his misogynistic directives were only meant for the early Christians that he was writing to.

Whether atheism is a religion or not, the fact is that there is no objective evidence for the existence of God, therefore it makes sense to refrain from believing in any God that people preach to you about until they provide you with some objective evidence that the God actually exists.

1 Corinthians 14:34-35 (written by "Apostle" Paul)
“Women should remain silent in the churches. They are not allowed to speak, but must be in submission, as the law says. If they want to inquire about something, they should ask their own husbands at home; for it is disgraceful for a woman to speak in the church.”

1 Timothy 2:12-14 (also written by "Apostle" Paul)
“I do not permit a woman to teach or to assume authority over a man; she must be quiet. For Adam was formed first, then Eve. And Adam was not the one deceived; it was the woman who was deceived and became a sinner. ”

My interpretation: "Apostle" Paul didn’t believe that women should be allowed to speak in church or to lead men. He was a fervent Jew before his conversion and Jews don’t allow women to speak in the synagogue either, so he just carried his misogynistic views into the new religion.

If you believe that the words of "Apostle" Paul are the words of God, then certainly, God doesn’t want women to speak or lead men in church.

But Paul never actually met Jesus. He was not one of the twelve apostles. He was not Simon Peter, the rock upon which Jesus promised to build his church according to the gospels. Yet his writings and ideas have come to dominate Christianity. His words are seen as God's words. Wow.

My understanding of your write-up is that the portrayal of God in the Old Testament is inaccurate. He’s not what the Old Testament says he is.

If so, why do you think God allowed himself to be misrepresented in scripture? Why didn’t he communicate his true nature to the prophets?

If it is a medical or mental problem, the solution is medical treatment. You need to see a good doctor and also do some online research.

Your sister should marry the guy if she doesn’t mind allowing her future kids to stay home with daddy instead of going to church on Sundays. If she is willing to accept that her husband and kids could become full atheists who don’t believe that God exists and speak openly about it.

Islam started out as a peaceful religion, but later it became violent. Verses written in the earlier, peaceful period contradict those written in the later, more violent period. Sadly, Islamic scholars resolve the contradictions by going with the later revelations, which are more violent.
