your analysis is wrong those 6million people would not have voted atiku even if peter obi was not a candidate, the major factor that helped obi were firstly, his personality 2, him being the only christian Candidate 3 running with a new party 4 him being a southerner. Abiola might not have gotten a majority but he had like 46 percent of the south eastern vote so they voted for him too, getting 40 something percent of vote in another region is a huge amount. But they obviously voted for Obasanjo.
