The toxic behaviour of the Obidient movement which manipulated and brainwashed many young people who thought this was Big Brother is what gave him that much votes in the first place.
But now they are overwhelmed when given the same taste of their medicine.
You think you won the election but only won one governorship out of 36 states what has governorship got to do with obi, I voted for obi so did most Nigerians, get it we didn't vote labour party we voted obi if he had decamped to accord party Nigerians would still have voted for accord, I don't know why you guys aren't smart enough to figure this thing out. |

Franzinni: Lagos is no man's land is a foolish deduction ... Let me buy into you perspective for a second and say becasue you go to a market in Kano to buy and sell means the market in Kano belongs to nobody?? ... Common you have a working brain I will assume ... You mean to say in aba, there are no hausas engaging in successful trade or Yorubas too ? But it will be stupid and arrogant for those Yorubas in aba to begin to open thier mouth and say aba is no man's land ...
There is no other tribe in Nigeria that is as accommodating as the Yoruba people but you people take it as a form of weakness to the point that you now deem it fit to be dragging Yoruba land with your host ... Aye yin fe baje ni?
What you won't dare as an anambara man in imo or any other part of Igbo land, you will be trying in Lagos ... And when you get the back hand, you will be crying to Hague and ICPC ... The Yorubas are the most united people in Africa and it's becasue we value our culture first!!!!! before religion or any other thing. That is why despite all the afonja and Yoruba Muslim chant that IGBOS have tried to use to compartmentalize us ... We band together at the drop of a hat ... Like we did in Lagos yesterday and like we did nationally .... I am a proud omoluabi! what he is saying is that "the no man's land" statement has been around for years 2. Not only the Igbos say it as a Benin man I have heard it too in the past. 3 during this election period nobody said Lagos is a no man's land but you had yoruba's even notable ones reacting to the no man's land statement, I have seen ffk, bayo onanuga, and others reacting to it but the question is when was it said by whom that this election had to be about proving that Lagos is not a no man's land. 4. All what I observed is yoruba's stirred and trended that statement just to gather ethnic support for political gains, I"m seeing every Yoruba man reacting to a statement but I am not seeing anyone making the statement no be juju be that. 5 you all claim to be defending your heritage by voting for sanwolu but the truth remains if tinubu had given sanwolu the ambode treatment and sanwolu had decamped to the pdp or lp and the Igbos vote for him you would still hate on them for voting for the same sanwolu you all are supporting now, agbaje a pure bred lagos boy in 2019 you criticized them for attempting an alleged takeover of Lagos by allegedly voting agbaje of the pdp, in 2023 the same thing you are doing to the labour candidate but one thing remain agbaje and GVR are true Lagos indegenes, I have never seen anyone who wants to takeover a land by voting for the true indegenous occupants of the land, you can fool your kinsmen with the useless ethnic sentiment those of us in the south south see beyond the lies. lhordspy: Some people still dont get this. Maybe because they are very new to Nigeria politics or first time voters.
During the Presidential campaign. The candidate of the Labour party, Peter Obi exploited and explored our diversity, he capitalised on our religious differences in particular to instigate hate among the the two major religion we have in Nigeria. CAN, PFN turned themselves into a political group. Especially General overseers, they turned the altar into a political stage to preach politics and propagate hate against Muslim candidates.
Peter Obi's victory in Lagos during the presidential election wasn't just from the igbos alone but from 'some' brain clouded, emotional religious sentimental yoruba christ!ans who were sold with the Jihad bullcraps. After the victory, instead of building bridges, extending hand of friendship with the yourbas that voted against Obi, making them reason by drawing them closer and also at sametime solidifying the alliances with yorubas on their side already, that voted for obi. The southe@sterners, feeling pompous and inflated came with the campaign of 'taking over lagos' . .. They ran twitter spaces, host interviews aided by their propaganda media house, AriseTV, scribbles and tweets were churned out about how they will sack all the obas and takeover the whole place.
How can you expect the yorubas who sided with you against their tribesman, Tinubu in the presidential election to feel about it? Happy that you want to takeover their ancestral land and mock them with it in return, just like you use the word; 'Afonja ' consistently to make mockery of our loss in Ilorin.
Sanwo Olu victory was not as a result of tribalism. The yorubas fought together as one again, and they won. Different yorubas from different religion, political parties, and across all board left our differences asides at the corner, came together to 'rescue ourselves'. (once bitten, twice shy)
At first it was cruise, then it became aggressive, now it is uncontrollable.. Cant even be tamed nor can they reason well. It is all noise, zero thinking and strategy. The Obidient movement is turning out to be a curse to Peter Obi and the hardworking innocent igbos who committed no crime but paying for the sins of the headless mob. this is a lie from the pit of hell, there is no place where Igbo say Lagos is no man's land, what I have been seeing on the internet are famous Yoruba people reacting to the no man's land statement people like ffk, bayo onanuga, mc oluomo and others but can you point to any famous or not Igbo man who said Lagos is no man's land, you guys trended that statement by yourselves just to gather ethnic sentiment from your tribesmen, I am seeing people reacting to "Lagos is not no man's land" but I am not seeing anyone saying it let alone them being Igbos. You know how many times I have been called chinedu, or ipob or that tinubu would rule and conquer me for eight years as a bini man do you think I should follow you footstep by hating the yoruba's who want to conquer others too? The most divisive character was tinubu, obi never said it is the turn of the ibos, it was tinubu who went to Abeokuta and said it is the turn of the yorubas, and emilokan, it was the same tinubu who picked shetima as a vice just because he needed to access northern Muslims vote even when he himself is a Muslim, you tell me who is the ethnic and religious bigot now? Othority: See @Shattuck, you don't need this your long epistle to demonstrate an average Edo person to us. My observations from what I've seen online and offline, an average Edo person doesn't like Yorubas. Your sister suddenly hating on Yorubas on the ground of tribalism is a pretense. It's a subconscious thing in you people's mind.
Truth is I don't know why. I do see an Edo persons as my cousins, considering the fact that, in a way, we share histories together, evident in use Obas and other language affiliation. But when I relate with them, they don't share similar love. They always have something to counter the Yorubas.
I think reason for that is conflict of history and how Yoruba, as a tribe, became more globally recognized than them. Is either they argue about Lagos or Oduduwa is their son and all that. So ur sister's case, I'm not surprised.
We've tried to bring you to ourselves, you've rejected us multiple times now we don't care. Choose your side and let Yorubas rest. Yorubas are trbalistic yet most celebrities supporting Obi are from the Yoruba tribe while none from South east supported Jagaban neither Atiku. We are tribalistic, a Fulani man won in Osun state, we are tribalistic, Yoruba youths voted massively for Obi. Obasanjo, Falana, Falz, Afenifere, Vector etc. How well do you want us to prove ourselves again?
Did you see the massive displeasure the Igbo declare for any Yoruba man to clinch APC primary election before the election took place. They publicly said they would prefer a Fulani to rule forever than a Yoruba man to have it. It's all on twitter. Isn't that enough for Yorubas to embrace their own, yet the remained logical and liberal. Nonetheless, according to you, Yorubas are evil.
It's obvious there nothing we can do to please you anymore. We are tribalistic, YES we are, we agree. We are wicked, YES we agree. The game is on now. Enough of nonsense!!!
Declare us tribalistic tribe now, let the game begin... We are not proving anything anymore. I never described Yorubas as tribalistic, I was only reacting to some dude who became tribalistic because he was insulted, look bini people dont hate Yoruba we don't even hate anyone by tribe individuals may have their own opinion but it isn't a general sentiment, I have heard stories about Edo empire and Yoruba culture some historians even say Edo owns Lagos, personally Lagos is Yorubaland nobody here is dragging that or any Yoruba history neither are we jealous that Yoruba history and art are going global almost all the songs we listen to or vibe to in clubs here are of sw origin, it's just this election period is raising prejudice and sentiment that needs not be for me I just want the whole exercise to be over make everybody rest. |
