Politics / Re: Enjoy Your Buhari – Reno Omokri Blasts Sowore For Supporting Buhari In 2015 by sizer07: 4:19pm On Sep 21, 2019
odinceblog:
Reno Omokri Blames Sowore for for campaigning for Buhari in 2015, says without Sowore, Buhari won’t be president.

READ HIS TWEETS:

If you say Omoyele Sowore is a liar, I will agree. He tells deliberate lies to destroy the reputation of those he‘s against, using his Sahara Reporters website. He did it to me personally and my boss. But neither Jonathan, nor I ever contemplated his arrest.

I sympathise with Sowore, but I cant help but feel that his travails are self inflicted. I know his nature. He will come out of jail, read this, and use saharareporters to savage my reputation. But even at that, he created the Buhari Frankenstein monster

What is happening between Sowore and General Buhari is just a bromance gone sour. Sowore is not some innocent activist that General Buhari is persecuting. He was an ally of l Buhari, who sold him to Nigeria. We must not rewrite history or will repeat it

Using saharareporters, Sowore dishonestly DEMARKETED then President Jonathan as a “DRUNKARD”, a “SLOW POKE”, “CLUELESS” and MARKETED Buhari as an “INCORRUPTIBLE”, a man who would “CRUSH” Jonathan, and was “BETTER” than Jonathan and “GOOD” for Nigeria

In 2014, when Jonathan said “I am the most INSULTED president in the world but when I leave office, you will all remember me for the total freedom you enjoyed”, he was referring to Sowore and saharareporters. Nigerians mistook his TOLERANCE for WEAKNESS

Also Read: Omoyele Sowore Loses In Court

Today, General Buhari is trying Sowore, his former partner in propaganda, for insulting him. If insulting a President is a crime, both Buhari & Sowore are guilty due to what they did to ex President Jonathan. But it is NOT a crime. Sowore should be freed!

Sowore is not the victim here. The victim, who refused to be a victim, is former President Jonathan, who Sowore accused of thievery, yet all his children schooled in Nigeria while he was President. 5 years after leaving office, no one has found GEJ wanting

It is possible that people around Jonathan made money, just as people around General Buhari are making money. But, Jonathan was NOT the THIEF, DRUNKARD or WEAKLING Sowore painted him to be. He is God fearing. To fear God is weakness to men like Sowore

Then President Jonathan is MEEK. MEEKNESS is not WEAKNESS. MEEKNESS means you have POWER, but you RESTRAIN yourself from ABUSING it because you want to BUILD, not DESTROY. Moses was MEEK. Nigerians dont deserve a MEEK leader. We deserve a General Buhari!

On 4 occasions, Sowore visited Nigeria while Jonathan was President. We knew his whereabouts. He met then CBN Governor, Lamido Sanusi, and was in contact with Buhari and Elrufai. But Jonathan NEVER ARRESTED him because he believed in PRESS FREEDOM

Sowore marketed Jonathan as corrupt and weak. GEJ would never make a man indicted by the army for theft, as reported by PremiumTimesng, a minister. GEJ deported South Africans in retaliation when SA deported Nigerians. It is Buhari who is WEAK & CORRUPT.

The problem with the average Nigerian, is that we CRY over CONSEQUENCES, and LAUGH over ACTIONS, not realising that CONSEQUENCE follows ACTIONS as DAY follows NIGHT. Sowore and Saharareporters are the ACTION. Buhari is the CONSEQUENCE. We are the AUDIENCE!

I look at those shedding tears for Sowore and I remember when Jonathan’s son was crying after his classmates laughed at him because they read on saharareporters that his father is a drunkard. Even children believed what they read on saharareporters!

Without Sowore, General Buhari wont be President. It‘s an indisputable FACT. He and Saharareporters poisoned the mind of Nigerians against then President Jonathan. As Christ said “offences will come: but woe unto him, through whom they come!”-Luke 17:1

It is a different matter if Sowore and saharareporters used the TRUTH to turn Nigerians against then President Jonathan, but they used LIES. Deliberate and malignant LIES. You cannot DESTROY another man and expect Providence to BUILD you up! ko le work!

What Gen Buhari has done to Sowore is a common Northern tactic. I lived in the North. I know. Abacha used it on Abiola. He used Abiola to destroy Shonekan. After Abiola destroyed Shonekan’s government, he was of no use to Abacha, so Abacha threw him in jail

General Buhari and Elrufai know what they used Sowore to achieve in destroying Jonathan. They are not fools. These guys are more political sophisticated than even Sowore/Tinubu know. It is brinksmanship. They wont sit and watch them do the same to Buhari

All of you were FOOLED when General Buhari rubbed mentholatum on his handkerchief and used it to induce crocodile tears. Shebi you are now seeing the genuine Buhari now? Who is crying now? Buhari or you? When we told you did you listen? Enjoy your Buhari!

Gen Buhari used Sowore & saharareporters against Jonathan and he will NEVER let them be used against him. Sowore should have known that the first person a feudal king kills is the kingmaker that got him the throne. So he cant remove him from the same throne

What an irony! Sowore used saharareporters to remove then President Jonathan from office, but today, he cant use the same saharareporters to remove himself from jail. Don’t dig your enemy’s hole too deep so that when you fall into it, you can also escape.

SEE REPLIES:

Sir Reno you said it all cuz to some point I was beginning to hate GEJ for no reason, even when I don’t know anything about politics, I cheer Buhari like the man that will make Nigeria great not knowing I was making a great mistake..I voted this clueless govt in 2015 & I feel bad

https://odinceblog.com/enjoy-your-buhari-reno-omokri-blasts-sowore-for-supporting-buhari-in-2015-read/

Oh oh oh! !! (Sowore should have known that the first person a feudal king kills is the kingmaker that got him the throne. So he cant remove him from the same throne)....
My most favourite part. This is in deed very interesting. Most people are biting there fingers as to why they allowed there self to be wooed by this APC fiction. well i guess The truth is gradually unfolding. Nigerians really need a tyrant general indeed . We are all beginning to enjoy our Next level. The journey only just began

Politics / Re: BREAKING: P&ID must forfeit all its assets to Nigeria, Court rules by sizer07: 2:40pm On Sep 19, 2019
References:
The Federal High Court in Abuja on Thursday convicted and subsequently ordered the winding up of Process and Industrial Development Limited and its Nigerian affiliate, P&ID Nigeria Limited, for charges of fraud and tax evasion in respect of the contract leading to the recent controversial judgment of a British court empowering the firm to seize about $9.6bn worth of Nigerian assets.

Justice Inyang Ekwo, in his judgment also ordered the forfeiture of “the assets and properties” of the two firms to the Nigerian government.

The judge made the orders shortly after the two firms, through their representatives, pleaded guilty to the 11 counts instituted against them by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission.

While P&ID Limited incorporated in British Virgin Island was represented in the dock by its Commercial Director, Mohammad Kuchazi, P&ID Nigeria Limited was represented by Adamu Usman, who is also a lawyer.

Both men pleaded guilty on behalf of the companies to all the 11 counts read to them before Justice Ekwo on Thursday.

Kuchazi was represented by his lawyer, Dandison Akurunwua, while Usman represented himself.

They were accused of among others, fraudulently claiming to have acquired land from the Cross River State Government in 2010 for the gas supply project agreement which led to the $9.6bn judgment.

After the defendants pleaded guilty to the 11 counts, an EFCC investigator, Usman Babangida, was called to the witness box for review of facts which was not opposed by the defence.

Documents relating to the controversial 2010 gas supply contract and EFCC’s investigation activities were tendered and admitted by the judge as exhibits without objection from the defence.

The judge then went on to pronounce the two firms represented by the two men guilty.

Making an allocutus, plea for mercy, P&ID’s lawyer Akurunwua, urged the judge to consider “the forthrightness and candour” of P&ID by pleading guilty and not wasting the time of the court in the trial.

All those allocutus charge and bail judges who interpreted and pass a judgements saying an agbero from the streets can walk into any courts located in there area, sign an affidavit for just 500 naira saying he is a phd holder but the result is with his ancestors and contests for the highest political office in Nigeria. Someone sent this news to me and i did a little research. Apparently, this village has witnessed significant population decline in recent times. More so than it has in 90 years. The causes? Emigration of able bodied youths in search of greener pastures, as well as the death of a pretty significant percentage of the village's population.
This may seem like "the" opportunity on the surface but certain things call for concern.

1. What has been causing the death of the natives?
2. If the government was so concerned about natives emigrating, why not empower them to make them stay? Why foreigners?
3. €700 seems like a lot of money because of the disparity in the value of the Naira in comparison to the Euro. I learnt cost of living for natives is between €300 - €700 a month. That doesn't seem like a lot of money in my opinion, especially when you are mandated to set up a business from the said allowance.

I am not trying to rain on anyone's parade. All i'm saying is "look before you leap".

Well said. A lot of Things most be put into considerations before leaping if I may Borrow ur word. Most especially ur number 2 point. Above all there has to be a reason why most of there youths are migrating to other places . There is more questions left un answered. Something is just not right

tribalism is what destroyed Nigeria and the only reason Nigeria will never rise to become a great nation.

I was converted to a full tribalist after seeing how other Nigerians I treat with fairness treat my own tribesmen, I became convinced that Nigeria has no future to be good, the country needs to be peacefully divided for the greater good of all Nigerians.

If Nigeria as a Yoruba only nation or Hausa only nation or Igbo only nation or Fulani only nation, they can be united to challenge the leaders to change things but Nigeria with its multiple tribes with their various selfish interest will never agree with other tribes to challenge government especially if it's their tribesmen that are in power.

You are absolutely write. That has been our biggest and will continue be our problem. See hong Kong for instance. They all speak one language, that why they where able to hold there ground and put there govt on the edge of sward to agree to there demands. Sowore is still luck up away in a detention camp for trying to do the same thing of which if he had succeeded, by now,the govt would have started implementing some of the demand for a better Nigeria if at all, the still remain in power . Even Sowore kinsmen are afraid to speak up for fear of been the un non. Dividing this country and everybody goes his separate ways is the best viable option , that way a yoruba,Hausa oh igbo people will unite and brings it bad govt leaders to it kneels. Other wise we are just deceiving our self. Nigeria as an entity will never work due to so many tribe involved

Travel / Re: Peace Mass Transport Passenger Narrates Her Ordeal. by sizer07: 12:16pm On Aug 26, 2019
Willgates:
Peace Mass Transit Company (PMT), I hope this gets to you.
Cutting a cake into two unequal parts, sharing the tiny portion among ten persons and keeping the larger portion for yourself alone would be termed unfair.

What Peace Mass Transit Company(PMT) did to us goes beyond unfairness. It's outrageously inhuman and cruel.

Part 1

The journey started out fine (if you call fine leaving for Calabar some minutes past ten in the morning all because they were "fixing" the vehicle).
I'd paid #7300 as fare(from Ibadan to Calabar). And I'd paid an extra #1500 to a Ludlum who insisted on extorting from passengers on account of luggages.
We got to Benin around 4pm or so,
and there, the 'fixed' vehicle broke down.
Initially, I thought nothing of it, my optimistic mind viewed the driver as competent and reasonable. I was wrong. Oh, was I so wrong.
After standing in an uninhabited place for three hours or more, with dismal thoughts of despair running through my mind, I started panicking. It was getting dark.
I have a friend in Asaba, the closest city to where we were stranded. At this point, I did what any reasonable human would do in such circumstance, I proposed to my friend Ebiti, who was traveling with me, that we go stay in Asaba with my other friend and continue the journey the next day. We related the conceived idea to the driver and he said, "I've called for a bus, I don't know what's taking them so long. It's getting dark, so you can go but come very early to our main park in Onitsha with your tickets, our Manager will arrange for another bus to take all of you back to Calabar."
Note; this was already some minutes past 7pm in a desolate area. All the men had hightailed and boarded vehicles to Onitsha, leaving five women and three kids alone with a driver who looked so disoriented and more confused than a child burdened with the choice of ice cream or chocolates.
At some point, I and Ebiti left for Asaba with the driver's number, a passenger's number and a promise that a vehicle was coming to convey the other women and children to Onitsha.

Part 2

We spent the night in Asaba which was a better experience than sleeping in PMT park in Onitsha (been there, done that. It happened on a different journey and I tell you, it's a terrible experience. The mosquitoes there can bear me witness).
However, Up untill 9pm, we kept calling the driver and passenger for update and as at that time, the bus they were expecting hadn't arrived. The passenger (a woman with two young kids) was hysterical. With her kids and no cash, she was scared. Their numbers stopped going through as at 9:12pm.
The next morning, 4:35am, we were already on the road looking for a vehicle to Onitsha.
Forget our discomforts, forget the expenses and focus on the threats to our lives.
We stood there for few minutes and finally boarded a bus with a driver who insisted on being an ass. We arrived Onitsha 5:30am.
Last stop, PMT Onitsha. We met some persons in the park and related our story to them. They directed us to a man who they claimed was in charge (though I highly doubt that). After the story and blah blah blah, the man who I think has zero emotional IQ acted like we were nuisance and treated us as such. I took his shitty remarks in good faith. It was so unlike me, but I really did. Going there was pointless cause he redirected us to another PMT park still in Onitsha, clamming that buses heading to Calabar had a different park. So we boarded another vehicle to take us there.

Part 3

6:10am, we were at the said park. We went straight to the main office and narrated our ordeal to the staffs. A man with a very unfriendly frown and an ugly looking mustache replied, "all these people sef, una wan come worry person this morning. I've told ur people that were here that they should go meet the manager at the other park or call him and complain."
As an after thought he added, "or pay another transport from Onitsha to Calabar."
I would have replied with something nasty(although E

Politics / Re: Nigeria To Extend Electricity Line To Senegal, Ghana, Others by sizer07: 9:49pm On Aug 24, 2019
PureFace1:
Electricity: The Federal Government, Wednesday, disclosed that it was building power transmission line to link up some countries in the West African sub-region.

Speaking in Abuja at the 2019 participants/key stakeholders interactive forum organised by the Market Operator, the Managing Director of Transmission Company of Nigeria, TCN, Mr. Mohammed Gur Usman, stated that the project will take a 330KV electricity transmission line right from
LNigeria up to Senegal.

He said, “In the whole of West Africa we are the only one that has the experience of 330KV but now 330 KV will run from Nigeria unto Senegal.

“Let me be precise, we are going to have a 330KV that will run from Shiroro to, to Parakou, Parakou to Northern Togo, Northern Ghana to Cote deviore.

“Another one will come from Northern Ghana to Senegal to Guinea-Bissau, to Mali to Burkina Faso and it will join Ghana. This is the study that we have launched.”

To this ends, Usman charged the major stakeholders in the Nigerian Electricity Supply Industry, NESI, especially, the Market Operator, MO, to be ready to assume the task of regional player in the sector.

He said, “As the Chairman of West Africa Pool, WAP, I made the WAP to draft, the directives which was approved on the 22nd of May and 22nd of December, 2018.

“That is the written of ECOWAS Head of State and Government of 22nf of December 2018. They approved that three directives and what are those directives that we forwarded to ECOWAS for approval are:

“First, All utilities in West Africa must have their revenue requirement. The second directive is that countries that elect not to give the requirement, they should budget for it in a transparent manner.

“This means that if the utilities do not have their course reflective tariff then the countries should budget for it in a transparent manner that is they should provide for it in their national budget.

“We did not stop there, we said that all utilities in west Africa should conduct themselves in such a way that they should do their procurement in a transparent manner- meaning they should adapt competitive procurement of their services and their goods because if we have the budget and we have the money and we apply it in an inefficient manner, it means that cost of energy will soon go up.

“In reality, if it is truly a market is driven by rules and regulation and people have to comply with the rules and there has to be sanction for performance and there has to be a reward of non-performance and a reward for extraordinary performance.

“If a market is existing in such a way that everybody does not performance and can get away with it, there is no way that that market can grow or perform.”

According to him, “TCN may probably cease to exist very soon and then you will have TSP and ISO, ISO will be the one that will be operating the market operator under ISO and everything that I have to do for that transition to take place, I have been doing it daily. Every day I have been doing those things that would lead to those organizations to separate.

“Because we have not applied the market position in our market tenders, in solar, you cannot say that Nigeria has comparative advantage but, in terms of normal generation that would be done by gas and hydro.

“Nigeria still has comparative advantage across West Africa. Which means there is a demand for electricity from here to the rest of West Africa? What we are doing is to enable that happen. To enable that happen, we are going to build a transition line across West Africa so that we can export energy from here to the rest of Africa.

“I am happy to tell you that the design consultancy and the environmental study for the medium backbone were launched

Mohammed Gur Usman, stated that the project will take a 330KV electricity transmission line right from Nigeria up to Senegal.

Politics / Re: Ministerial Screening: Lawan Asks Amaechi To “Take A Bow” by sizer07: 5:03pm On Jul 24, 2019
OddsIsland:
The Senate President on Wednesday protected the immediate past Minister of Transport, Rotimi Amaechi, at the ministerial screening, asking him not to answer any questions but “take a bow”.

Lawan said Amaechi, being a former Speaker of the Rivers State House of Assembly, was a lawmaker and thus should be protected from questioning.

Incidentally, Amaechi was grilled by the 8th Senate led by Senator Bukola Saraki.

The Senate Minority Leader, Eyinnaya Abaribe, however, said senators from Rivers State wanted to ask questions.

Lawan quickly rejected the move to question Amaechi.

The Senate President, who has been accused of being President Muhammadu Buhari’s stooge, was, however, in for a shock when Gombe-Central lawmaker, Senator Danjuma Goje, noted that the Senate rules do not extend the “take a bow” privilege to state lawmakers.

Goje, who is also a former House of Assembly member, said he wasn’t shown a similar gesture when he was nominated a minister as he was fully grilled by the Senate.

In his response, the Senate President said even though the Senate rules do not “apply to state lawmakers”, Amaechi should be extended the courtesy.

The Senate President said, “I agree totally that it is not in our rules but we can regulate ourselves even without things in the rules. So, we adopt this because we should extend this privilege to the House of Assembly. I think there is nothing wrong in that. The nominee (Amaechi) is just a beneficiary by chance. We are not doing this for him.”
