Took time to read through all that has been said and I must say truth and facts have been stated in various means and tis best you stick to them no matter how you get them (just see it as the Naija way ). In your 25 years of existence till the "HYMEN" got busted or in your 2 months of being phucked, haven't you ever fantasized? Just incase you're wondering why I decided to pick on this aspect based on your "acclaimed problems", your sentence "I do not find o[i]ra[/i]l se[i]x[/i] politically correct" got me laughing and vexing at the same time.

what i think is the solution is for government to make and enforce a law on free primary and secondary education with free breakfast, lunch and some amount of money every month for every citizen of the age 18 and bellow (especially the less privileged ones). the cost is nothing compared to what they steal in just one ministry.

What we fail to understand is that, we as a society have totally damaged the physic or emotional state of the little child.

1. The child is pushed out by his mother to fend for him/herself, refusing the child love and protection, even mother hens fend for their little ones, not to talk of human beings.

2. When the child gets 10naira note from you, he feels he cannot get anything in life, only by begging for it (mental slavery)

3. When the child gets refused by you, he/she gets embarrassed and suffers emotional breakdown, feeling to him/herself that he/she is not wanted, and feels less human, thats why some develop habits of rudeness to block such feeling.

The very foundation of this child is already traumatized, not to talk of female child beggars who get violated, molested and kidnapped for ritual purposes. As a nation we must question our conscience and humanity to see such things and turn a blind eye, as if we were not once kids. Most of us were pampered, spoilt and protected as a child, shielded from such hardships.

With the above points, are you blaming folks that give and those that do NOT give? Which is the "damaging the emotional state of the child"?

Freeman, the fact you have brought this to limelight shows you also advocate for these too but your methods of saving this so called child/children are not a solution from my perspective. Infact you are the very ones causing more harm than good. You keep blaming the government. Did the government bring this child to this world? As a human, if you are not ready for certain issues/hardships that come with life, never venture into such lane. Blame the parents first and blame them again. This government of Lagos state (you restricted your talks to LAGOS) you aim at if I check correctly have put measures in place to see children in school and I thought there was something called "Free Education" ongoing in there?

Like some peeps have earlier said, STOP giving to them. What many of you do not know are these set of people are used and forced into the streets to beg (tis a business venture) and in other parts of the country where you have the Alimajiris, they make it a habit---infact a way of life---and young boys are used to ask for money on the street. I learnt sometime ago that up there in the North, it was a blessing (maybe still is) for a family to have a physically challenged person as this would help bring more money to that family (Stupid, innit?) Why I said tis a way of life for many of them.

Now back to Lagos, there are loads and loads of Orphanage homes. What stops these so called beggars to stay in and let these Orphanage homes cater for them? Do you think there aren't NGOs that are out to protect the right of these children? Many if not most of these (I am not going to be ignorant of the fact that some truly need help) beggars are happy to be on the streets (I even hear say many of them get bank account sef incase business nor come in that day and them gat chop and if plenty business dey, you trust DEPOSIT na )

My own 2 cents, let them suffer neglect and maybe if it hits them hard and they make themselves useful by staying in school or doing menial jobs, they just might come across people ready to show them love or support them for what they believe in.


Imagine walking on the streets or driving and then someone well dressed walks up to you or flags you down to start giving you stories of how he hasn't eaten (even coming as far as meeting you in a restuarant/eatry) and if you look closely at the dude in question, you can tell his problem by looking at his LIPS (BLACKER than 190's yansh  ) which shows that Ganja is at work.

You wanna be supportive of beggars by all means, give them your old clothes, take them to eatries (if they say they are hungry) and pay for their meals you can afford but NEVER give them money because you are supporting their business venture

You are worth every read, knowing and quoting as the case may be but how can one deny the fact that you're a genius and a rare GEM. This goes a long way to show that age is nothing but simply numbers (and yes, beards (bear bear) na design too). We might not have gotten the rest best of you to come but you fulfilled and touched so many hence you're an achiever and an overcomer.
