RedboneSmith:Absolutely. That of work place politics of victimisation is the most annoying. An Igbo man is still facing the sin of another recalcitrant Igbo man who stole some money in an organisation. After expelling the erring guy, the other guy was tactically deprived of privileges (they are only remaining 2 igbos there). And tongues continued to wag, when billions had been stollen by other tribes. Some of them even managed to escape being caught because of a subtle sacred cow status foisted on them by the people at the helm. The boss would treat other tribes with kid gloves but if this Igbo guy kills a fly, heaven falls immediately. It is very annoying. And like racism, everyone opens his teeth, but deep inside their heart lies unmitigated fury against Igbo colleagues. |
herkeem:I looked closely at each individuals image. I zoomed to see their ideological constructs. O lord how I wish I could see their conscience. The seeds that made them gods. Humans made under the sun, to rule a dark enclave. |

kay29000:Check the meaning of some words before attributing them to yourself. Antisocial could mean something worse than you think. There are other ways you could describe your temperament. Anyways, the most dangerous thing about energy drinks is the different ways people mix them with other substances. The chemical composition could be worse than pure drugs and hence may lead to different problems including kidney failure. Just drink any one you fancy. Don't mix with this or that. |
Does it use CVT gear like Murano et Al. Is it durable and maintainable ? |

I wanted to create a new travel advisory thread to advise the youths but I have been banned from NL front page apparently. I have lived in several countries abroad at different times and am accomplished. It is very simple if you have ears: These are factors to consider when relocating abroad: 1. Age 2. Relevant Job skills 3. Social linkages 4. Personal conviction I will write briefly on this 4 while you figure out the rest. They are not cast on stone. Age. At certain age, hustling becomes increasingly hard. It will be foolhardy traveling abroad at certain age to start looking for what to do, no matter how easily you could get your travel documents. It could however, mean a different thing when you have saved enough and you are just going to start investing or have a good life with family. Not even degrees guarantee jobs at certain age and of course, certain skills are exceptions as elucidated below. 2. While age knocks you off in this vicissitudes, relevant skills could reconnect you. Skills and experience in STEM courses and medical sciences could haul great advantages your way irrespective of age. The caveat here is that you could get the shock of your life if you have not got the job before relocating. So. Make sure you have landed that abroad job or made concrete arrangement for it before moving. 3. Social linkages: this could also showcase great advantages without no 1 and no 2 above. Good family ties or friendships abroad could accelerate your gains. The caveat also would be that if prior arrangements are not made regarding prospects, you may be in for great surprises. If friends and relations are not prepared, they may still welcome you but you have precious time to waste. 4. Personal convictions. This is just like counting your costs ahead of time. I have heard someone in his fifties say. I don't care, I am doing this for my kids, no matter what it takes me. If you are convinced that whatever be the case you are ready to rough it no matter how long, with the expectation of course that last last, your children for instance will benefit from stable economy, excellent social security system and amenities in the North America, then roll. This is important, so you don't have regrets or engage inn crimes. A police officer told me they can get every criminal but they choose those to go after. Pls be guided. Let me tell you what happens to many unprepared people especially Africans. They wear good clothing, eat good food and look very good: the West has conquered these basic needs of man. So they display pictures on Instagram and you envy them. You may be richer in all respects back home. |
lhordspy:You are really a sad man. Obi, all the way |
Guys. I saw Nissan Ultima ride and it's within budget. Should is it a ride that can serve me I'm naija? |
LightOnScams:It's seems there's a raving prejudice against the Igbo man in a cosmopolitan community. It's like anti semitism in Europe and elsewhere. Stereotype, prejudice predicated on popular opinion about criminality, greed and sabotage. A manager in Abuja once told me that they once decided that an igbo man would not lead a sensitive sector of their company. That's what they are saying not political narginalisation |
I wouldn't know if any other person has had same experience at the OandO petrol station at the entrance of the 1st Avenue Gwarinpa if you are coming from Market square towards Works and Housing Estate. No 1. Their metres are always manipulated. There is a place they open in each meter to make a quick reset. No 2. If you are not vigilant, they start selling from the last buyers counting. The sellers are always guys and behave as if they all know the game. I am not demarketing Oando. If you have time, you could check this out. I am pleading on the authorities especially petroleum monitoring group or whatever name they go by to investigate this petrol station. |
nickxtra:I remember a divorce case I handled some years ago. The Respondent, the wife, blatantly refused to show up in court or engage a lawyer; and the judge wasn’t ready to proceed without her. One day in court, the judge, again, refused to proceed with the matter without the woman. That we must meet with her and hold the statutory conference before she will hear the matter. I told the judge we have served her the petition and the hearing notice for today’s sitting and clearly she is not interested in defending the petition, so, we should proceed in the interest of justice. The judge come vex for me o. That I should do more than that. I should get her number, call her and try to see her and hold a meeting with both of them and try to settle them. E come be like say na me wan scatter their marriage. The judge asked the petitioner, my client, if he doesn’t want settlement, he said no. He was visibly angry, talking about how he just wants a divorce immediately and nothing else. That they are still living together and that he is just waiting for the divorce to leave the house or kick the woman out. Judge says I should still meet with both of them. Everybody knows that this is the point you must shout “As the Court pleases” to avoid wahala. After court I collected the Respondent’s phone number from my client and called her immediately. I requested to meet with her and invited her to come to my office. Madam said she is not coming anywhere, that if I want to meet with her, my client should bring me to their house. I went back to the office after agreeing with my client that I will come over to his house after the close of work that same day. I went to their house by 5pm. We sat down and starting talking about the issue. Then I got a bombshell. She: Did your client tell you that he is serious about that divorce? Me: Yes. We are in court already. He even told the judge so this morning in court. He is here now, he can tell you himself. She: Serious about which divorce? Is it not that court he came back from this afternoon and came and collect one d@ggy? I was totally flabbergasted. I didn’t expect that kind of raw bluntness from her. I turned to my client, he was silent and avoiding my eyes. D@ggy? I carried my file quietly, entered my car and left. Like d@ggy? After all that heat I faced in court, you even stood there, forming anger, then you came back and collect hot d@ggy in the afternoon? What do you take lawyers for in this country? D@ggy? You couldn’t even do missionary in appreciation of the lashing that judge gave me because of your divorce case, you went and did d@ggy. D@ggy that use to sweet like wetin. Mr *Evaritus Gregory. Superwave16320:Is it same God that hasn't told Pastor Adeboye anything? This one is creating confusion. God is not an author of confusion. Obi is the man to liberate Nigeria |
Ofunaofu:This thing that an airport attendant called paper in Dubai. I was so angry as I was passing the scanning check the few naira notes I had in my pocket flew away onto the conveyor belt. "Your papers! your papers!", the security guy screamed. I was mad at him, "don't you recognize money when you see one?" I quizzed. His stupid looks fixed on me til I left his station. |
I am wondering why many Igbos complain of being discriminated against especially in the northern part of Nigerian between north central, Abuja and the far north. Do you have such experience ? Pls politics should be out of this. |

tk4radi:Obidient all the way |
tk4radi:This is rubbish. It will make original investigating bodies demy gods. My petition to Force HQ was referred back to FCT Command where my client was nearly beaten up by police who collected money from the culprit. That case has no headway till date. We can't even follow up except write all other bodies like min of justice etc without response. It's a hell of a country. |
dniceguy1:You are pretty young. Further steps would depend on the circumstances that made you bag a third. Are you brilliant and you were not out of woods in college, without help? If yes, study, take gre and apply for graduate degree. With good gre score you can even get an ivy league. If you are not able to take gre, there are remedial courses in some graduate courses; tell your story in your statement of purpose and apply. You will be considered. There are also community colleges that will jump at your grade. A little efforts and you are finishing strong. NOTE: if the 3rd is because of your intellectual deficiency (you are the only one that knows the truth), don't waste your time, look for some skills or start a business. This is still very good as you could count your millions before long an still live a life better than some professors our here. There is no end to anything; young people do not understand most of the time. I have counselled a lot of young people as a university teacher. I have never crucified any student for being intellectually deficient. You only need to be proactive. Some of them are doing well in business and presently touring all countries. . |
