acidtalk: I will rather wear a jeans and shirt (personally) and do a brilliant presentation than deck in suit and be stuttering endlessly.Your dressing is determined by the kind θf meeting you are going for. I think its irresponsible and a display θf nonchalance or disregard for your counterparts to dress casually to a meeting that requires a tux. Unless otherwise indicated. As for your observation regarding top biz consultants around the world dressing casually to meetings, I am wondering! Because no name comes to mind, from the Sorinyan's θf Naija to the Donald Trumps θf the U.S,that suit gives you the extra confidence boost required to demand the needed attention. |
Trinity213: i use to have a sadist as a boss, he was so emotionally abusive but i tolerated him because my fellow hods were always standing up for me but he used my absence due to bed rest because of a multiple pregnancy to blackmail me before my colleagues and shortlisted my name for downsizing, even though it was against the wishes of other management staff he went ahead to forward my name to our head office, i was laid off my job when i was still in the hospital after undergoing cs for the birth of my beautiful triplet. my crime was that i was not the one he wanted to head my department despite the fact that i was more qualified so he tried frustrating me.Your story touches the very depth θf my sympathetic soul! I am moved by most θf the experiences shared on this thread to do something beyond offering words θf encouragement via posts on NL. This abuses, harrassments and oppression in the work place has got to end! |
fluid26: It appears your ignorance is gathering momentum. How dare you spew such crap here? What is wrong with you?Hahahahaha bros ahn ahn pulease taykes it easy now. |
Johndoe100: What did the magazine you got this crap from say? The girl traveled without telling you, you went there as a surprise . Mother who is clairvoyant (you do know what this means abi?) is waiting for someone half unclad to give her a good bang?Hahahahahahahaha na wa! @ op should visit the marketers at is it Alaba now. Plus his post has gotten him relevant attention as he is getting up close n personal wi caracter lol. |
Caracta: You don't know what to tell her? Really? You have to be careful. If i were you, i would break up with the girl instantly. Believe me, if you marry her, the mother will keep asking you for s*x. She'll never stop. It will never end. This i know! And what reason would he give her for breaking up with her? |
No i am not, it just occurred to me how he expects him (OP) to do that.
My question wasn't in relation to your post. There is another Yemmy on NL, he is a HR specialist I think, hence the question. |
chievo: Mine was sth i cudnt explain,i used 2 teach in a sch were am more qualified dan my boss,bt i wasnt bothered cos age wise, shes far older dan me,she wl insult teachers in sch everyday dat fellow colleagues cry 4 her abuses, she has a way of makn u feel so wretched n she wl make u leak her feet,as a grad in lagos,i was paid 13000naria bt she wl make sure u dnt get d whole salary by month end,she reduces our salary at anytym she lks bt peeps,d truth is she hardly speaks correct English, she even asks d male teacher out n if u refuse,ur salary wl b gone,d funniest thing is dat d nearest police station is her 2nd office, immediately i got another oppourtunity,i ran n didnt luk back n i even left my 1 month salary wt her n i wasnt bothered at al,i thanked God i came out of there in 1 pieceI am more thankful to God on your behalf dear. The best awaits you! |
inice: I also had the same dreadful horrible horrendous situation with my boss. He once called me evil. I prayed and prayed. Now ve got a job tyms 4 of d pay. Hallelujah!I rejoice with you darlain, lol. You shall keep soaring higher dear. |
bigx: I've a couple of people on my payroll with 3 reporting directly to me & I'm yet to see myself in these posts, maybe I'm doing something wrong?Good to know you aren't on any θf the posts or maybe your employees are yet to dicover nairaland or this thread? Just wondering!!! (Wink) |
poj: All these happening in an organisation? I must be missing something for being on my own all this while. CheiIs your business still at the teething stage or you have people reporting to you? If not I believe you would want to grow to the point θf having employees. Then pay attention to whats been shared on this thread so you will not be under the category θf the bosses mentioned on this thread. |
I agree with most of your comments. But one question is, how can he raise his children not to give anything to their country? Just send them abroad? or politically abuse the country like we have right now?
Interesting question I must say. One θf my most respected mentors will always say, " always give back to the system that you receive from". Perhaps Violent doesn't consider Nigeria to be a system that offers anything θf worth hence the advice. Lol. @ Yemmy: are you the HR guru? |
Rizstar: Dear NLQuestions you should answer: What do you WANT? Do you want to go into business for short or long term purposes or do you want to build a career? If you want to go into business, what kind θf entrepreneur do you want to be? Do you want to build a business centered on your career or just any business that brings in cash? I suggest that whatever you choose to do, please think longterm! Do not think for the present only but make decisions with the future in mind. If computer/IT is where your passion lies and you also see yourself getting into business in the future, then you might want to consider starting up a business in the future that offers specialised IT services, your focus now should therefore be on aquiring the relevant IT skills, work experience and building the right network so that when you launch out, you are fully prepared. Cheers. |
violent: I unnerved a few of my friends the other day when i remarked that there aren't any hopes that the future of this country can still be salvaged from the mess my generation and my father's, have made of it. This thread further contributes to the strength my argument.Once again Violent... I am impressed with your logic as always. |
Wow! All θf the threads made me realise that the topic is a very severe issue! I mean, employees are not some bunch θf insignificant slaves been done a favor, employees offer valuable services that is why they were hired in the first place! Seriously now, how can we solve this demoralizing issue? I also want to suggest that if you are not ready to loose your job, please DO NOT post the names θf your abusive bosses or the company as they may just stumble on your post and the consequence may be one you aren't prepared for. please let's talk suggestions on how we can deal with these bosses!!! Anything other than "stay calm and bear, or quit and be your own boss", will suffice. Cheers. |
ayo jango: When I was in d bank my boss uses words like R u mad,u fool,no brains, daft and I waited for a day I would strike himOh my gawd lol! Seriously? My oh my! Mehn guts is all we need o! You weren't even fired! Wooow! |
Peaches90: I once worked @ a company in Surulere, I've never met a more horrible person than the 'CEO'---Adebo. |
@Macdaddy, your "logic" keeps getting worse by the day. So according to you, the fact that someone rested and another does not rest automatically makes the restless one more powerful? Your childishness amuses me. Besides, frosbel did not say what you are claiming he said. You are simply misrepresenting his statements. If he did, show us a direct quote. Don't resort to dishonesty just to make your point @Delafruita, why doesn't God simply just destroy satan? Simple because God has set apart a day when satan will be judged and sent to hell. Perhaps you may want to ask: why doesn't God just destroy us both immediately for our sins? Because God has set apart a day for our judgment as well. @Spicy v, please don't waste your time
Anony: macdaddy chlidish? Me thinks θf him as more on the delusional or confused side! And uum Ʊr so right! I have got to quit wasting my time with these beings! |
MacDaddy01: The expected outcome is irrelevant.Macdaddy: I strongly advice that you stop speaking in public places as you lack the ability to comprehend stuff and have a deeper challenge with expressing your points in a comprehensive manner. Until you can work on overcoming these challenges, log out from all global atmosphere! Not an insult but just an advice born out θf sympathy!!! I hope you heed! |
What is the difference between a test and temptation? A test is when you are put in a trying situation to see what you will do but with the hope that you will succeed. A temptation is when you are put in a trying situation to see your response but with the hope that you fail. I hope you get the difference.
Take it ( a big hug)!!! |
Let me just give you a lil insight before I ignore you completely: Joseph was "favored" by the king so you say, you are not aware that it was the dream that God had given to Joseph that was coming to pass? The king had no option but to act out the script that God gave to him( I don't think your understanding is even deep enough to catch this) Besides, the king himself admitted that there is no other man in his kingdom with the spirit θf God as Joseph! Now it takes a deep revelation (the permission from God to know deep spiritual things)to know someoneone in whom Gods spirit lives. And it was based on that revelation that Joseph was "favored" by the king! Let me ask you a question: why was the gospel preached to gentiles? Answer: because Gods own people the isrealites rejected the message θf salvation through Christ! Please sir! I categorically put it to you that you are still faaaaar!!! You DO NOT know the bible at all! Go and study to show yourself approved, a workman that needs not be ashamed, RIGHTLY dividing the word θf truth! Stop twisting scriptures out θf a lack θf knowlege! Gbam! |
Delafruita: i happen to be in a half-sleep state so i might not give as good a response as i ought to.however,if you're online when i wake,we could undertake a "bible study" together and we could compare notes.the only difference is you will be amazed at how little you know about the bible and christianity.just a few questions for you to ruminate onThe bible clearly states that by their fruits you shall know them! You just prooved to me that you know absolutely NATIN about the bible! Natin! And so I can't even begin to study with you cause you are waaaay hmmm. Hahahaha I really do laugh at your claims on knowing the bible and shallow attempts at prooving it! Oh pulease! Show me where catholics or protestants or pentecostals were mentioned in the bible. I can't even start with you cos like I said you have no understanding θf the bible! None watsoever!!! Sleep jor! |
MacDaddy01: Deluded fool. You must be ignorant of the people that live better lives than you without Jesus. Does a person really need Jesus to be good? There is a way that seems right to a man but the end is destruction! You may feel that the people you know who are living without Jesus are living better lives, but the end will tell. |
mikeeze: @op inasmuch i understand what you wrote,ur thesis is wrong!.how do i mean? We"ve been sent to preach to such people but if they dont accept what you say,"wipe the dust off your feet"and pray for them instead.I think you are the one who has misunderstood the poster. To preach is not the same as to argue! The bible is clear on both! Preach and when it results in argument that borders on the existence θf God end it dia! Gbam! |
thehomer: D'aww. Are you Christians giving up?It may seem to you that we are giving up. We aren't, we are only giving in to what scriptures has instructed us on, " do not be a part θf godless arguments that questions the existence θf God..." You claim that good argument made you reject d living God and a better argument will make you do otherwise? Hahaha classic case θf what the bible describes θf your kind, " you are unstable in all your ways, easily swayed by every new doctrine"! Fellow brothers and sisTers in Christ the end is truly near, now is the time to hold on to our faith in Christ Jesus more than ever before! Jesus reigns! |
MacDaddy01: ?Now how do I even begin to explain considering tge depth θf your ignorance? Hmmm. Ok, lemme try! God tested Abraham, satan tempted Jesus and Adam! Test is different from tempt! Two different words with teo different meanings! If you had simply followed the thread you would have understood a bit, but alas, grasping things is a major challenge for you. |
Delafruita: i marvel at your addiction to the idea of God.however,i believe in everyman to his beliefsYou should marvel at my FAITH in CHRIST JESUS call it addiction if you like. But I really do marvel at your unbelief! I have been living in oblivion to the existence θf people with twisted beliefs about the Almighty as I have seen here this morning and it makes me more resolute in my faith in Christ! |
MacDaddy01: Satan is the real lion still standing. That lion died and then went to hell to not only conquer satan and take the keys θf death from him, he made an open show θf his defeat! Halleluyah!!! Christ is risen! Jesus is Lord and even YOU know it! But you are just too scared to publicly admit it! |
Delafruita: seriously, why cant God just delete/erase/destroy/annihilate satan?it'd make things easier for every, even for God himself.satan keeps showing up and destroying God's beautiful plans and keeps getting away with it(at least till he is bound in chain for a thousand years).methinks God gives satan too much room.he should fle his power once in a whiile.he should make the bokoharam boys use the bombs on themselves,he should let hardworking, honest peeps have a good income(its always heartbreaking to see these "soldiers for christ reeking of poverty).God has all the powers, why does satan's peeps keep getting all the wealth(at least christians say illuminati,ogboni,419er,drug baron are satan's peeps).God needs to demonstrate his powers o.na only read we read say elijah command fire from heaven and bible say "God is the same yesterday, today and forever".make God rain fire on bokoharam hideout without delay and i can assure you the entire world will follow himHahahahaha really funny! Its typical θf man, we always want the easy way out, we never want to take responsibility and always want all the work done for us whilst we lazily enjoy the rewards θf someone else's labour. My dear, if you really are a true child θf God you have a life θf assured victory in Christ Jesus! Mind you, I never said a life devoid θf challenges, just a life θf assured victory but you have got to work hard at exercising those rights! Man himself gave in cheaply to the enemy years ago and sin, evil and wickedness was introduced to the world! The only way out is for man to submit to the Lordship θf Christ and regain his authority over sin and satan! Even at that, you still gotta exercise those rights! |

Oh there's alotta difference! Hahaha!!! No evil can come for me because Christ has been made manifest in my life to destroy the works θf satan! Ohhh the truth is awesome! I revel in it! Its the other way round, all evil has to boo at my arrival! Too much authority!!! |
MacDaddy01: What is the difference between you and a someone telling his/her child that the boogeyman will get them if they act badly? |
Delafruita: if satan isnt powerful, why then hasnt he been subdued?mwhy does yahweh, despite all his professed love for man, leave man at the mercy of satan even allowing him roam the earth seeking whom to devour? My last post has adequately dealt with the insignificance θf satan's powers in comparison to the Christian's authority. Now on the issue θf your wrong assumption that God left man at the mercy θf satan, I will say that assumption is totally flawed! As I earlier explained, Christ has given the believer full authority to subdue and conquer the enemy,a fact that is very well known to satan! It is now left for the believer to exercise his God given authority over the enemy else the enemy will take advantage θf his ignorance! This is why scriptures say, " do not be ignorant θf the devices(wiles, schemes, strategies) θf the devil! So you see, his so called power is actually his devices that plays on your ignorance! Once again GO FOR THE TRUTH, KNOW IT AND MAKE YOURSELF FREE! Shalom! |
MacDaddy01: Thank you!I never suggested that satan wasn't powerful ( your inability to understand grammar comes into play once again) I only stated and I state again, " satan's might is in no measure comparable to God's". Scriptural backing: " I have given you authority over all θf the powers θf the enemy, nothing shall by any means harm you" just incase you misunderstand as usual, the scripture points out that satan has powers but his powers are subject to the believers authority! Halleluyah!!! "Wherefore God hath highly exalted Him and given Him a name that is highly exalted above all names in the Heavens, Earth and beneath the Earth that at the mention θf the name Jesus every knee must bow and every tongue confess that Jesus is Lord"! Satan cannot conquer believers who know the truth! For you shall know the truth and the truth shall make you free! He only pounces on your ignorance and messes you up! So seek the truth dear and make yourself free! |

E.t.C and to think that he insults u without paying u!(He still owes me 450k till date...though he claimed it wasnt as much as that.
