CareerRe: What Are The Best Ways To Be Productive On The Job? by spicyv1(f): 10:45pm On Jul 21, 2012
How come there were no posts in reply to this very significant thread? For me, I create top fives for each day, i.e. The top five things I need to accomplish plus I maintain a diary. Helps me fix all that needs to be fixed whilst leaving room for contingencies.

Obviously!!! Little wonder on the gross misconduct! Focus on what you do so you can know how to do it and quit making a trash θff of your personal brand!!!

@ fluid 26: if you could visit the thread the poster is talking about, you'd be so disappointed to find that she has actually turned out to be the exact same personality you warned her to beware θf and instead θf taking your advice θf learning from mistakes as it is expedient for growth, she is still poking fingers. Smh.

@ poster: no hard feelings at all, I was just curious about you because it was somewhat θf an amazement to me that someone that sounded well spoken could actually display such level θf crudity! No hard feelings at all sis. Just can't keep silence when I percieve that someone who has better in them chooses to spew worse!

nikkyshyne: Na wa oo. Choii...shocked

@Spicy V, if you went thru the thread, u'd noticed I mentioned "advice don't come for free" (on somebody requesting I give a list of jobs) in other words, that is "consultancy"

Smart people would pick that up and make a living with it.

My lips are sealed. Afterall, u guyz can't beat me, can you? cheesy
Consultancy indeed! Do you even know the meaning θf that term? If you want to be consulted in a particular field by people who have no awareness θf your proficiency, you have got to show some proof θf your capability, which you clearly failed to do!

Talk is cheap and all I see here is real cheap talk! Besides, if you were truly the "Entrepreneurial Consultant" you claim to be, you ought to know about personal branding or the brand called YOU! If you fail in selling that brand(which you have, woefully) you have proved your incompetence and have also failed in selling anything else!
Jobs/VacanciesRe: Height Of Desperation!! by spicyv1(f): 10:24pm On Jul 20, 2012
Have you all noticed how those "know it all" with curses at the tip θf their tongue have failed to suggest at least one entrepreneurial activity that requires little, no or even capital? And what about those asking if we must all do "white-collar job", suggesting farm work? Are you doing same?

All θf these people proffering solutions that they themselves will reject! Indeed the world is full θf people with no dream, vision or ambition who are eagerly looking to put down people who have or display that which they lack!!! HATERS! Quit hating and start living!
CareerRe: How Did You Succeed With Your 2-2 Or 3rd Class? by spicyv1(f): 10:02pm On Jul 20, 2012
RedReact: @Ajanlekoko,
U said you graduated with 2-2. If I am right, I will say I am finding it difficult to believe because you have always presented yourself very superbly. I noticed it in one thread for physics graduates and I was appalled.
Kudos to you!
My point exactly! Your grade from the University isn't exactly a true reflection θf your knowledge capacity and shouldn't be used as a yardstick for measuring same!!!

Ironically, I saw another thread where uncle Aja mentioned a 3rd class graduate friend θf his who went on to obtain a Phd! Hmm, how's that for "academically sound"? Its all a thing θf the mind jare, if you put your heart to it, you will get whatever you desire!

You are welcome dear. If you have sent emails and sms' I don't think you should do that again else you'd be seen as a bother. Why not call to fix an appointment? Or visit but make sure you leave with a contact number for follow-up. Ensure to go with your letter θf intro. Or a one page proposal.

All the best.
Jobs/VacanciesRe: Would You Apply For This Kind Of Job? by spicyv1(f): 3:54pm On Jul 20, 2012
Lol na wa! So typical θf man! So because God used you at some point to open a door for me I have to remain at your shadows abi? Pls jor there is room for overtaking!!! Besides, who determines the more qualified person for the job? You and your aunt or the MGT θf the company?

Your Aunt should take up the case with the MGT if she is not satisfied rather than blame the man for desiring and pursuing after progress! Afterall he did not manipulate his way to be promoted, he simply went through due process and was preferred!

Uncle Aja: its not why I think, I know why I graduated with that grade and choosing not to talk about it on this thread is not a lack θf courage sir! It is simply irrelevant information that I choose to divulge at my leisure! Hope you understand sir.
BusinessRe: Marketing Ideas/contacts Needed Pls Before I Decide To Resign O by spicyv1(f): 2:10pm On Jul 20, 2012
Afrobaby it is well you hia! Okay here are a few tips that I hope you find helpful.

To get your contacts, I think you should seek the face θf google lol. Just type list or contact θf private schools in Lagos (assuming you are based in Lag). From that list, visit the website θf schools that have websites and retrieve the contact number from the site. Most top schools have the principals' number on the site as well.

Next, you have to group your potential clients into categories by identifying their needs and leveraging on that platform to market your product. What do I mean?

Category A: Schools who are looking for means to increase their population.
Category B: Schools who do not have population as a challenge but have the need to maintain a reputation ( maybe to be known for high success rate in exams)
Category C: others.

Now, you can see that A and B are your target clients. They are the ones you should pursue relentlessly until they see the relevance θf your product to meeting their needs.

At this point, you are prepared to visit the decision makers! You can start by sending e-mails, bulk sms with catchy phrases ( recall that the bulk sms must capture the needs θf your client) and phone call to fix an appointment.

Your major focus should be to identify your clients and their needs, place them into categories and leverage on that need to sell your product. You must make the client see that he has need for the product!
Success is your afrobaby!

@ Candylips: you are right about that. Focus then on companies that don't care. Lol. Thank God for most international orgs. They pay real good and don't place too much emphasis on university grades.
CareerRe: How Did You Succeed With Your 2-2 Or 3rd Class? by spicyv1(f): 1:33pm On Jul 20, 2012
Uncle Ajanlekoko: "most people who do poorly in school aren't suited for academic work"? Sir, that's not a fact o. Are you aware that a lot θf factors other than being non academically sound is responsible for undergraduates students graduating with such grade? My O'levels for instance was cleared in one sitting with enviable grades! And I know θf many graduates too, whose O'level certs are great yet graduated with a 3rd class. Please understand that the grade you graduate with especially graduates from the late 90s downward is not a true test θf your academic knowledge!

That's another topic for another thread sir.

CareerRe: Urgent Bank Job by spicyv1(f): 8:56pm On Jul 19, 2012
What exactly is your question? Someone has volunteered to help, why not ask the person the way forward? Not every question requires online advice! You need to learn to fix stuff using your initiative! It ain't that difficult a thing to do.
CareerRe: Emotionally Abusive Bosses!!! by spicyv1(op): 8:50pm On Jul 19, 2012
Lol at " be a team player not a jerk", lol at "beware when its that time θf the month". But really, your inability to keep your emotions in check displays your deficiency as a leader! Time θf the month or not! You are a woman and a leader, you ought to know by now that your emotions become unstable at "that time θf the month" and so should take extra measures in "fixing" them instead θf accepting what nature has created!
CareerRe: How Did You Succeed With Your 2-2 Or 3rd Class? by spicyv1(f): 8:28pm On Jul 19, 2012
@ Yommy2sure: lol. Nope I did not volunteer with more than one organization, I simply volunteered with an organization within the industry I wanted to build a career in, for the sake θf experience. Secondly, I made sure my resume did not reflect my grade, it merely reflected "Bachelors degree in Bleep". Besides, the presentation θf the resume was so appealing, you would want to meet its owner after which you'd be so enchanted by my presence that upon discovering my grade, you couldn't care less. Lol.

My intention is not to sound cocky o, I owe my success largely to the grace θf God and I thank Him for His favor.

Ps: thanks for the compliment, Ʊr far too gracious.
