kennypoka2: This is laughable.. PDP forget Lagos abeg... It's very obvious Sanwo-Olu will win and not only win alone but with a huge landslide... Funny people.. In general elections, where every registered voter would vote, APC or its old name never won by landslide. It is very always very bare difference. This time around, however, i see APC losing. I for one will vote anybody but Sanwo-Olu, because of the bad politics used to remove Ambode, whose leadership style and principles I love. |

This duo needs another 4 years to really establish this very well. Then younger leaders can now build on it.
For Nigerian youths blabbing around on the waec certificate of an incumbent, instead of bringing on real issues, shows that Nigerian youths and the opposition are dead-heads. Pathetic really! |

ImperialYoruba: Ibo women have no rights in their culture, period!
They face abuse and discrimination. As they marry into other cultures and find they are given roles which was uncommon and denied in their own culture they gain voice to speak out. Many have spoken out and lately Supreme court ruled to change some of these discriminatory practices in Iboland.
1. When Ibo woman marry Yoruba she moves up in society. She gains new rigjts and liberties.
2. Yoruba women that marry Ibo move their men up in society and open their eyes to new aspects of traditions and ethos they had never known.
3. When Osu move into Yorubaland they gain new economic freedom and social liberties. They discover they can own properties and are the same with everyone else.
4. Even children born into Yoruba/Ibo relationship learn etiquette of social relationships. They learn respect for elders and the false ego and loudness which is the hallmark of Ibo tradition is tamed in them and replaced with Omoluabi. Most important....they are trained to wake their father with greetings and felicitations...they are taught the value of "Eku...", and no product of such intermarriage ever use the known and widely accepted Ibo custom of rousing the father early in morning with a commanding shout and foot kick in the ribs.
I dare any Ibo to challenge these points. I have details and even reports from your homeland, as far back as 1950s to bring up as evidence. I will open a brand new thread just to showcase it.
So wake up and know your place and stop comparing your women's restricted behavior in their custom as equal with the practice everywhere else. No it is not...

Pinkberry5: Mine was back then in secondary school.
So I had this very close female teacher of mine, a youth at that time. We were really close and to top it, she was my chemistry teacher. She was really good in teaching and noticed me maybe because I was good in her subject, I'm not sure.
Trust bad belle girls, they started saying she was giving me expo for tests and exams.
At a point, we started visiting each other, my mom always excited to see her. We'd eat in my room and gist oooo then we'd solve questions and bla bla bla. I confided in her my crazy secrets and she told me some too.
Sh*it started when we were practicing for our interhouse sports competition one period. While changing after practice, her phone (which she left in my jacket pocket) rang. Seeing 'dad' on the screen made me feel it was an important call and I ran out of restroom with singlet and thight.
I found her in the teachers changing room and gave her. After receiving the call, she teased me on my dressing and drew my bra strap which was visible. I slapped her hands away. She mocked my knickers and we laughed over it. Before I left, I hugged her and whispered something stupid in her ear.
Fast forward to next week, every one was giving me one kind eye I nor understand. During classes, some stupid girls started making stupid comments randomly about lesbians. I didn't know why but it felt like odd. Soon, I heard my name on the intercom and I went to the office, not after everyone in the block started hailing me.
In the office, our principal played around the topic before hitting the nail on the head, telling me she heard a teacher had been sexually molesting me, she saw it on CCTV footage, bla bla bla. I tried explaining but she brushed it aside, telling me she knew it was embarrassing to admit
She told me she had sacked the teacher and I wouldn't be molested again. I cried so much. Turned out some bi*tches had followed me that day In the changing room and acted as 'witnesses'.
It was a terrible situation, which caused me to change school. A good teacher lost het job because of stupid unreasonable and untrue rumors! I still feel guilty about it though. Recently met her in the market. Found out she's happily married with two kids and owns a daycare.
I'm still swearing for those yeye girls that told my principal that sh*it. I lost interest in the sciences and moved to arts which I'm still based ni in today. Rumors are terrible. This is so unfortunate. Destinies changed too. |

Politics › Re: Atiku, S/east Rift Deepens Over Single Term Request by spiralwedge(m): 4:11pm On Oct 28, 2018 |
madridsta007: It’s beyond “if Atiku or if PMB” wins. It’s the fight for the soul of Nigeria. Any reasonable person, educated and logical will tell you that the future of Nigeria is bleak, extremely bleak with PMB as President. Unless we want to deceive ourselves.
If we had an Obi with Buhari, or Tinubu with Buhari or NOI with Buhari, the future of Nigeria will be bleak if Nigeria, an extremely heterogenous country, is led by someone who is highly nepotistic, bigoted, analogue, feudalistic and insular as Buhari.
Unless we want to delude ourselves, I think we all know this. You are too emotional. Politics isn't about emotions, but strategies, calculations. Buhari is all that you said, which truly are his bad sides, but remove sentiments, he is doing well laying a foundation that can be built on and he only has less than 4 years. It is too glaring that Atiku is an opportunist and ambitious and cunning and may not be different from Buhari considering the challenges facing this country. You may not agree with this if you are desperate to get Buhari out or you want a revenge of 2015. But this is the truth. Let me make my point graphic: In 2019: North Incumbent vs North Atiku (wins) 2023: North Atiku vs North new guy (wins) 2027: North New Guy vs North new guy 2 (wins) 2031: North new guy 2 vs North As long as the North incumbent doesn't win, it will be suicidal for any opposition to present someone from the South. Please THINK on this, leave emotions. |

This is what I always did. I'd always been a good tenant that would take the house and its environs as mine. Even attend CDAs meeting on my own just to mingle, get updated with the going-ons in the area, and watch out for opportunities such as land, coop, etc.
1. I'd protest a little asking him to consider the economy. 2. If he was adamant, i'd insist on 6 months grace. 3. Then I would be on the look-out for a better house with better facilities in the same area, even next house, for the same increased rent amount or lower. 3. If not found, I'd start considering other parts of the town I'd found interesting, but not far from workplace, and with prospective.
Bottom line: i tried to get better option for the same amount or less. |

madridsta007: I don’t think it’s fair to generalise it as Yorubas. Millions of Yorubas are supporting Atiku. Just check Twitter. It is APC and Tinubu inspired publications. Not the entire Yoruba tribe. They are only deceiving you on Twitter. I also prop Atikulate on Twitter, but my guy I get sense to let Buhari finish the remaining 4 years and leave it for a younger generation from the South in 2023 (doesn't matter the tribe) than for another Hausa/Fulani who will like to do 8 years and keep his old-aged cronies in power and we keep going on in a cycle. Let me share another angle, if Atiku wins and recontest in 2023, opposition parties would be forced to present another old Hausa/Fulani candidate who would want another 8 years. That will mean that we are gullible indeed. The crop of younger leaders from the South that will emerge in 2023 are mostly detribalised and goal getters. These are the politicians that will break the cycles. Although not perfect, PMB is laying a foundation that can be built on. Dont forget I said although he is not perfect. |

We know genuine pastors and we know the ones who've sold their heart and soul to the devil for a bowl of rice.
Osibanjo you're a disgrace to what the Yorubas stand for.
How could you all of a sudden turn against restructuring?
I said it that the moment a supposed man of God joins politics, he's no longer to be trusted again.
Real religious men stay in the churches and mosques, they don't have businesses in government houses.
We just have to give Atiku a benefit of doubt.. no going back He has, subtly. The truth is restructuring, whatever it means, cannot be done by the presidency alone in a democratic setting. How Atiku wants to do this baffles me, especially as he took the opportunity when ipob emerged. To me, he is only desperate for the office. After this election, in 2023, the likes of OBJ, PMB, Atiku, Tambuwal, etc will forever be gone in Nigerian forefront politics. |
