Heartbender:Greetings brother! Thank you for your response. Now, let's reason your quoted scripture above and gain even more knowledge. No doubt, you may have assumed that the prepared place Jesus is talking about is 'IN' heaven. But bro, if the rules of Bible study is anything to go by, then you may not have heard the last of John 14:3. So, let's continue with the story... "When the Son of man shall come in his glory and all the holy angels with him, then shall he sit upon the THRONE of his glory: and before him shall be gathered all NATION: and he shall separate them one from another, as a shepherd divide his sheep from the goats: and he shall set the sheep on his right hand but the goats on the left. Then shall the King say unto them on his right hand, Come, ye blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom PREPARED for you from the foundation of the world" (Matt. 25:31-34). Looking at the above quoted text from the Bible, we can draw a number of sound conclusion:- 1. THRONE: It was prophesied by angel Gabriel that Jesus will sit on the throne of David forever (Luke 1:32). We also know for a fact that king David was a king who rule on earth and not in heaven. 2. NATIONS: Nations are on earth not in heaven. 3. PREPARED KINGDOM/PLACE: Remember the prepard place Jesus talked about in John 14:3, which you quoted? Matthew 25:31-34 has made that "prepared place" known. It is not a place in heaven: it's a place, actually, a kingdom or government right here on earth, as the event of Matthew has shown. Please feel free to share your thoughts again. Thank you. |
Yes, you read that right - how what every nominal Christian think of as their ultimate aim - to make heaven - is actually a sin. For a better understanding of what sin is - what exactly is it that you're doing wrong - it is appropriate to define it. Here's the bible definition: "Whosoever commit sin trangresses also the law: for sin is the transgression of the law" (1 John 3:4). Simply put, sin is the breaking of the law. Now, here's how you sin when you desire to go to heaven:- In Psalm 115:16 we read: "The heaven, even the heavens, are the LORD's: but the EARTH had He GIVEN to the children of men". In addition, in Isaiah 66:1 and Psalm 11:4, we see heaven as God's "throne" while the earth is man's estate. Don't get it wrong, both heaven and earth belongs to God (Psalm 24:1), but the fact is that God had GIVEN the earth to man as a possession forever. But instead of being grateful and content with what God had given him on a platter, those lusting after heaven are busy COVETING that which belongs to another - God! In so doing, they trangresses the tenth commandment (Ex. 20:17). Also technically speaking, the second commandment is violated since coveteousness is the same as idolatry (Col. 3:5). Furthermore, desiring to go to heaven (which we've now seen to be coveteousness and idolatry) is vain - fruitless worship since it is a doctrine based on the TRADITION of men (Mark 7:7). Yes, this doctrine has no place in the Bible, and I challenge anyone to prove otherwise. In fact, dealing the biggest blow to those who claimed to be 'heaven-bound' is Jesus own words: "For no MAN had ascended into heaven, but the Son of man who came down from heaven" (John 3:13). Peter also taught the same thing when speaking of David (Acts 2:34). Of course, man has no business in heaven, or what is he going there to do? Instead of inheriting heaven (which is impossible), man is to INHERIT the EARTH (Matt. 5:5, Psalm 37) and REIGN as KINGS & PRIESTS (Rev. 5:10). So, while I await whoever that will take up the challenge, here is the BIG question: 'ARE YOU STILL DESIROUS OF GOING TO HEAVEN'? Be the judge. |

His Excellency, Dr. Goodluck Ebele Jonathan was and will always be an epitome of competency, excellent track records of performance and a fine man of sterling qualities. Unlike one old haggard man from Daura, President Jonathan prosecuted both the war against corruption and insecurity to an enviable height, in light of what is happening now: great slaughtering of innocent Nigerians all over the country, even in Buhari's own backyard: voodoo economic policies resulting to what is known as an 'unprecedented level of suffering and hardship': persecuting opposition in the name of fighting corruption; all of these failing miserably. Standing ovation to a great man: President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan!

![]() If Buhari's own State can suffer this great a security challenge, it's better to boot the ineffectual giraffe out through an impeachment before we're all killed. May an uncommon failure of this magnitude not befall us again. In fact, whoever is wishing us another 4 years of recession and killings, no mercy: die by fireeeeeee! ![]()

![]() Brother, in this brand new-- tear rubber year , worrying about man's unfaithfulness should not and NEVER make your new year resolution. We're all unfaithful beings. Inugo? |
Preciousgirl:Okay. Let's make it very simple. Firstly, the common belief of going to heaven for the righteous when they die. Whilst I've perused the Scriptures from Genesis to Revelation, I can't find even a single verse to support this belief. On the contrary, the Scriptures is saying something completely different from the popular yet unscriptural doctrine. For example, here's what Jesus said: "And NO MAN hath ascended up to heaven, but he that came down from heaven, even the Son of man which is in heaven" (John 3:13). Again, hear Peter teach the same thing the Lord taught him: "For David is NOT ascended into the heavens..." (Acts 2:34). Yes, that's right... even David is not in heaven. Not only him but NO ONE! So where is David? "...he is both DEAD AND BURIED..." (Acts 2:29). If heaven was the reward of the saved and people like David didn't make it, then certainly no one will. But of course, heaven is not the reward of the saved: the promied inheritance is not the heavens but something else. First see this: "The heaven, even the heavens, are the LORD'S: but the EARTH hath he given to the children of men" (Psalm 115:16). Not that the earth no longer belongs to Him (Psalm 24:1) but He hath GIVEN it out to man as a possession forever. Now here's the shocker: Desiring to go to heaven is a sin! How? Because it transgresses the tenth commandment (Ex. 20:17). How? When one desires to go to heaven, he/she is actually COVETING that which BELONGS to another- God! Also, we know that coveteousness is the same as idolatry (Col. 3:5). So, since God had given the earth to man, here's the true promise and reward of the saved: 1. Blessed are the meek: for they shall INHERIT the earth (Matt. 5:5. Jesus is not teaching a new thing here but simply quoting the scripture. Read Psalm 37 for more understanding). 2. And hast made us unto our God kings and priests: and we shall reign on the EARTH (Rev. 5:10). So then, armed with these truths, one can't help but dismiss the 'going to heaven belief' as nothing but myth. If anyone has proofs on the contrary, I'd gladly and gratefully accept same. Next, we'll see the When and How the saints will receive their promised inheritance: ..."not having received the promises..." (Heb. 11:13). And then finally, we'll talk about hell or hell fire. See you! |

Having heard your prayers, this honourable court hereby rules as follows: 1. The court is pleased with the plaintiff for being such a smart and talented young man. 2. Absolves the plaintiff of any form of wrongdoing. 3. This court seriously frowns and condemns in strong terms the accused level of gluttony, greed and selfishness. 4. Orders that the plaintiff be served with a very big catfish, well grilled together with chips and any drink of his choice. This is to compensate for the injustice suffered at the scene of the crime. 5. And lastly, this court also counsels our young men to be wary of elements as the accused, and to think on their feet as did the plaintiff, when faced with similar challenge. Court...
