taiwoawoniyi: Great news! So happy for her. May she translate her academic prowess into practical impact n' solution for Africa.
She should do her Master's abroad or in CU.
Heard she got only one B throughout. Awesome!
These are the people we should nationally award. I say AMEN to the above. She can't be given a National award, she has to do something for the nation internationally or invent/innovate something good that would help the National Society for her to be given such. |

oshozondii: Please, I have made this silent plea to the mods by mail and have gotten no response. I am formally making it here..........
I am quite young here on NL.
I have been off NL for a while with the moniker "Elchicolo", say two or three weeks. Trying to log in some days ago, I discovered it was telling me wrong username and password.
I tried ceaselessly until I did reset the password, and it came up with my username as "oshozondii".
I am still baffled on that. I decided to ask a friend who is much older here to let me know what the problem is, he tried by sending a PM to Elchicolo, not received....sent to oshozondii and it was received.
I also do not think that Elchicolo was deactivated otherwise it would have indicated "nobody NB: Is the advise of not using your actual mails also important here?, because that's what I did but still need to know how safe or unsafe going forward can be.
Was the account hacked or something......
I don't understand.
Lalasticlala Seun Mynd44 Dominique You email was simply mapped to that oshozondii account. You seem to have forgotten the email you used for Elchicolo account |

engrchykae: you sure knew nothing about what is happening. They do not just stay and wait for African corrupt leaders to bring their looted funds over to Europe,they rather ensure the enthronement of corrupt dictators all over Africa. They support dictators to kill ethnic groups that are perceived as dangerous to the interests of the colonialists. Ask yourself the reason the west are more interested in Nigeria election than their own. It's simple,they need to install puppets. They support coups to upstage erring dictators as in the case of ironsi,murtala,and 1985 coup that removed buhari because of buhari's strong man stance of standing up to the British so they encouraged babangida to topple the government and he accepted to implement the imf policies buhari rejected which devalued our pride,the naira which was very valuable then. Then gej started talking tough and they supported buhari over gej. Then buhari started talking tough, asking for the British to return our looted funds,then he travelled for the treatment of his ear infection and came back younger. I laugh at you in foreign tongues, there are books written on the topic you're talking about, but please don't preach it too far, Africans has always sold themselves out, almost at no time have the whites done this evil using their own hands, most blames comes back to us because we are the ones that implement the ultimate evil to ourselves from slave trade of the old to corrupt practices today, and mind you, It is only a thing of rumor that the higher power helped Buhari win the election, Although Jonathan mentioned something in his book concerning USA and all but that is not a convincing fact why he lost his elections. Mind you, our own evil to ourself is far greater than what the white is doing to us. |

engrchykae: The British, Americans and the French are living large because they are stealing from Africa. Greece, Serbia, Cyprus etc are poor or average because they are not rogue we enough to steal from Africa. This is the truth point of correction, they didn't steal from Africa, they are profiting from Africa corrupt practices. Africans took most of the money there themselves and they seized it and make it theirs which is what is thr corruption the original post was talking about. |

AloyalNigerian: Hi all,
I am working on a personal project that requires me to grab the value selected by the user from the drop-down and use that value to in another place probably to display it as a text.
var gender = document.getElementById("btn-wrap" ; gender.addEventListener("change", genderGrab, false);
-------------//function genderGrab () { // let gender = document.getElementById('btn-wrap').elements["choice"].value;
// console.log(gender); //} .options[gender.selectedIndex] --------------- I tried this method
------------- function genderGrab(e) { let target = document.getElementById("btn-wrap" .elements["choice"]; console.log(target.value); }-------- and this method.
I was getting errors stating that it can't find the value of undefined. I even tried to see if the eventlistener is working perfectly, and it is.
This issue is giving me tough time even though I am using the value on the same page, imagine whta I am going through trying to use a grabbed value in another page.
I am so sorry if my question is not clear enough but you can always ask for more clarification.
Thanks in advance. Here is an example HTML CODE <select id = "ddlViewBy" > <option value ="1" >test1 </option> <option value ="2" selected ="selected" > test2 </ <option value ="3" >test3 </option> </select> Running this code:let target= document.getElementById( "ddlViewBy" ); let value = target.options[target.selectedIndex].value; |

That's actually not a problem but the problem is, these modules have so many functions and methods that I'm wondering how I'll get to learn them all.
How do I know the various methods/functions that exist in various modules that I might need in my programs?
Do I need to read up all of the modules functionalities from the libraries or is there an easier way out here?

1x2x3: Yes I agree with you. I have lived in sane societies outside the shores of this country and I'm highly aware when human rights are being abused or when there is a deliberate effort to keep the public in fear. Its not about being venomous when people talk about crime but the ability to speak up when you see the rights of a common defenseless man being trampled upon.
That being said, if you happen to be a crime investigator and you are presented the case of the said girl, would you just buy to the idea that more clubs should be raided because that where you think whoever did that will spend their money? The club itself is an avenue for another man's income who is not into crime, its a source for a DJ to earn a living, its a source for cab men to earn some income, its a source for showbiz......instead of raiding randomly and shutting these sources of income down why not make thorough investigations, gather enough evidence, mark your suspects and hit them at home when they are surely drunk or too tired to move?
You shouldn't turn blind eye on this just because it doesn't affect your source of income directly. Truth be told your 100% right! intelligence gathering and marking of the actual criminals through thorough investigations will be best procedures and it will go a long way to track criminals and their long term activities including their organizations and channels. It will reduce damages owners of clubs and bar have to pay because of criminals but even at that there has to be a close watch of how bars operate to minimize the likely hood of them being a syndicate to criminal organizations. Fact is our society is really rotten. The girl in the original post might have been kidnapped and traumatized but how do we know when no proper investigation will be carried out. |

1x2x3: You see why I said you are myopic? Now I will add deranged to your personality. May you die a painful slow death and your lineage be subjected to afflictions of sickness and poverty. I curse you and my curse shall remain before the heaven and the sands of the earth. The moment you become venomous when people criticize crime, the more suspicious you become. As much as the guy you quoted isn't all that right, he is also not all that wrong. Some club are grounds to catch some so called criminals and robbers who flaunt heavily with money stolen. Actually I would rather prefer that efcc raid down our big boys who are our politicians. sadly, it isn't happening as expected and to worsen issue people seem less concern and pragamtic about the crimes of politician and our leaders but throw more focus on petty criminals they see everyday in their home and street, I call this pettiness. Moreso I am not stating that cyber crimes should be swept under the carpet, it is a major crime in our society today. |

Most are not responsive anymore after I must have made a commitment fee.
Some charges are just too much that on seeing their prices I just zoom off because I can't just price it.
Some will promise not to take anything before they show some level of project done halfway before I pay any part payment which is the best I've seen so far but unfortunately I can be calling the person in question for over a million times daily and won't pick or rather respond to chats which makes him the most annoying.
Some will just chat me up and with no headway.
I'm looking for highly professionals that can help with this, but I only have a few modifications which I'll give details when we're ready to work.
All I need are well written down and straight forward.
Or this type of site can't be created anymore.?
I'm just so tired and pissed off already. But if there's anyone that can get this done then let's roll. contact me on ----------- |
