Pointguardusa: Even with all the injuries we could still come up this close. Now I understand the viewpoint of haters. If cousins and Durant were fit, the finals and indeed the NBA would be fraud .
Good game though and we are still the greatest dynasty in NBA history . Lol. This is a pained fan |

FOH with your ijebu fake news. You're delusional. Up till now you still don't know that KD didn't do a 5 on 5 training at all before the game. |

Ultimately, I'll advise you don't go down the ersan part, keep your head on a swivel and don't go down that part. Talk basketball like someone who didn't take a shortcut in college. We're still waiting for the Warriors to offer KD a max contract o, to prove that they have faith in him and to correct every wrong they have done.
That is the only thing they can do now to prove they're not a classless organization. |

LarcPickerin: And i honestly feel a lot of the problems women attribute to the "patriarchy" are problems they can solve themselves. What if all women voted for hillary? they shouldnt have but what they could have. What if as many women who watch male dominated sports watched female dominated sports? What if women flooded to watch certain actresses like they do to watch chris hemsworth or idris elba? But somehow its mens fault hillary isnt president, the WNBA wants equal pay even though it has as much revenue as a fish market, actresses want equal pay when they dont have as much draw. When your whole argument violates logic and economics. If you look at industries where women support females as much as or more than males you see that these issues dont exist, the music and fashion industry for example is where women do as well as men or even better because women support these industries.
Like a lot of societies issues today we are always looking for someone else to blame when most of the times we need to look within. I don't know the origin of this argument, but I totally agree with you. The women are their own worst enemies when it comes to the struggle for equality. They don't seem to be on the same wavelength. They keep clamouring for equality but are unwilling to do simple things such as take up jobs that are termed "masculine", like being a lumberjack, or a sewage disposal woman, or even petty things like being a driver. Either their ego won't allow them to do such jobs, or their lack of physicality actually doesn't permit them to do it. Ego is something that can be worked on, but strength and physicality will always remain the same. |

The best run franchise in the NBA is now classless. You said it |
Sports › Re: The NBA Begins by steady986(m): 5:01pm On Jun 12, 2019 |
Eruditor: Ha ba baba, the host of the show is not an expert. He called the expert who gave factual reasons as to why the first injury was clearly a calf strain. Starting from the way he landed. How straight his legs were and the motion they observed from him before game 5. He made it abundantly clear that it could not have been an Achilles.
The same expert then concluded that the second injury was one but not a rupture and even went as far as saying it looked like a partial tear going by how KD tried to flex his ankle upon landing.
Fact is, nothing I say will matter if you clearly don't even want to listen to experts together with KD's own medical team. Everybody cleared the player. Bob approved of KD's decision. Because it worsened, everyone is now bad. The best run franchise in the NBA is now classless.
I hear you. Whatever any doctor says is bollocks until we hear the report from the team doctors |

SmooshCHN: You're so desperate you failed to read and understand. Kevin Durant practiced with the team before the game. Stop lying to paint the Warriors bad on one mistake. I hold the organization responsible as well as Bob Myers only because he's the GM but he can only go as far as listening to the medical team and Kevin Durant. But to say the organization is classless is just foolishness and desperation. Once again, another GS fan who either doesn't know how to read or simply doesn't understand the terms of basketball. I mentioned he hadn't had a FULL CONTACT PRACTICE and not any practice at all. In case you don't know what a full contact practice is, let me try to explain. It is a practice where you don't go all in physically. It is the first practice done by players who are just returning from an injury. |
Sports › Re: The NBA Begins by steady986(m): 2:29pm On Jun 12, 2019 |
SmooshCHN: You have to have a type of brain deficiency to call the Warriors a classless organization after being transparent with KDs situation. Hate has sipped into your skull and you don't know it yet. These same people will still have something to say if KD had dropped 40. They'll say we didn't clear him because we wanted to prove we can win without him. The Celtics weren't classless when Isaiah Thomas aggravated his right femoral-acetabular impingement injury with labral tear cos the doctors said he was fine to play. His doctors probably kept mute because they knew his pay day was coming and the Celtics were fine with it. They even agreed readjuste the trade when the Cavs knew who's bad his injury was. Danny Ainge wasn't going to pay him and subsequently traded him to the Cavs and we call it business. We knew how it ended.
But the Warriors saying KD's health is more important than championship after he missed 32 days in the playoffs is a lie right? Allowing Kevin play because he wanted to after being cleared by his doctors and the warriors medical team to come back was classless. Right?
KD had a calf strain at first. It takes 3-6weeks depending on how bad the strain was. KD took 32 days off and was cleared after series of practice. Up to me, he wouldn't have played like I said hours before the game. The Calf muscles are connected to the Achilles tendon. If he had a strain and recovered, you'll still be taking a risk on the achilles. But players have played this same way without any injury. It's only bad because it got complicated. Down 3-1 complicated everything. KD even on his death bed will always want to play. The same media saying the warriors were holding him back to prove they can win without him are the ones saying the Warriors shouldn't have brought him back. Talk of double standard just because it's the Warriors. He wanted to play, was cleared by the medical team including his, the coach was fine with it and Bob Myers was the last person in line to say yes or no and he made the decision. Bob Myers made it known KD's health was first. He has to consider KD's wish as well as the medical team. The same media will punish KD till death if the warriors win without him and being KD, I'm sure this was why he was eager to return. Class is taking responsibility for your actions. KD took responsibility, the team did as well. It's the media and the opposing fans who are now playing devil's advocate that have a problem. All this your rant is what every delusional GS supporter would rant. You all are just blind to the facts. Even Kendrick Perkins that is known to always support everything the Warriors do is blaming them. Did you know that KD didn't have even one full contact practice? Who does that? Why would he fail to have a full contact practice if he was ready? Perhaps he was told to be doing only spot up shooting(which is probably why he made 3 3s in the first quarter. The first time he tried to dribble the ball his Achilles popped. Let me ask you, if the Warriors were 3-1 up, would KD have been risked for this game? This was pure selfishness on the part of the Warriors. CLASSLESS ORGANIZATION |

SmooshCHN: Two illiterates giving the same output in a business field doesn't mean they are saying the right thing. You have to know the truth to speak it. Khanben: My heart goes out to KD, wishing him the best. For those like kellerman who think this should detract teams from giving him the max, I humbly beg to disagree. KD's skill set means that at the worst what this injury will cost him is a bit of explosiveness, from the 12 minutes he played in game 5 I saw a peek into what at the very worst KD will become and that is a prime Dirk, purely a perimeter and elbow/ post killer. So For the opportunity of having prime Dirk playing for your team for 3 years, that in it self is worth swallowing the first year payday. #freeagencywillstillbeawesome For you to say that a post-achilles injury KD is the equivalent of a prime Dirk is an insult to Dirk himself. But that doesn't mean he can't be effective as a scorer, but having this kind of injury at 30 years, it would only be a gamble if any team offers him the max contract. Look how much Cousins is earning after his own injury. How many teams offered him the max. Do you think he wasn't worth a max prior to his injury? KD would be 31 this year for heaven's sake, and he'll be 32 by the time he begins to play at a level close to elite(which is still a probability). And he can't get any better, the only way from there is downhill The only good deal KD can get is to exercise his player option and earn 31 mil while doing nothing. |

If they knew KD was going to be a warrior next season, they would not have let him play.
Whatever class and goodwill warriors management had is gone with this move. Crying on stage cant absolve the Machiavellian move they made here.
I fault Durant for being too trusting, too eager. But warriors did a number on this guy. But this negro here would never accept, even though the evidences are all there. |

Eruditor: See why I said comprehension?
They asked him whose decision it was to let KD play. He detailed how doctor's cleared him, KD wanted in and how Kerr approved but that the final buck stops at his table so they can put the blame on him.
If a recently recovering player gets another injury people will always ask, why did he start? Was he ready? etc etc
They did so game 4 for Klay. Damn. You keep saying comprehension but you don't seem to comprehend. I'm just going to stop here before you embarrass yourself further
|
Sports › Re: The NBA Begins by steady986(m): 10:15pm On Jun 11, 2019 |
Eruditor: Comprehension.
Even if KD broke his hand, Myers would have said the same thing because he was asked who approved of KD playing. You're not making sense o. So if you recovered from a leg injury, and then you get a hand injury on your return, your manager or GM have to say they are sorry for letting you play? |
Sports › Re: The NBA Begins by steady986(m): 9:39pm On Jun 11, 2019 |
Eruditor: The icepack was also on his leg after he was taken off before he got hurt.
Bob Myers has to take responsibility because that is what a good leader does. He had the final right to allow KD play or not. But KD clearly wanted to play. The Doctors said the calf injury could not worsen. KD trained and felt good. So the Warriors allowed him play.
When Kawhi felt SAS did not have his back he refused to play..exaggerated his injury and asked to be traded. So nobody forced KD to play Lol. I thought you said they are two different and separate injuries? So why should he take responsibility for an entirely different injury? You're just buttressing my point. |

Anyways, like I said before. Game 7 would be very interesting but the team you did not want to win, won.

Eruditor: Let me share a little hack for you; sometimes before posting, just Google what you are about to say. Google can make an ignoramus sound learned most times if used well.
So someone can simply wrap ice around an achilles and play? LOL. And it was you who knew but medical staff of experts, KD himself who not only trained but was seen dunking and dancing before the game and the GM Bob Myers had no clue.
Okay. LOL Sometimes you should read a post properly before you react to it. I said the ice pack was on his leg days before he played, as part of the therapy or whatever. Again, why should Bob Myers take responsibility for a player's injury? |
Sports › Re: The NBA Begins by steady986(m): 5:42pm On Jun 11, 2019 |
Eruditor: What is funny is, you are the one nervous, confused, butthurt etc. I am the guy who said since Saturday morning that there will be a game 7 and GSW won. When some of you here were saying Raptors in 5.
You are actually supposed to shut up now. Game 5 is done and there is a game 6. Lol, the thing is I had/have the luxury of saying Raptors in 5, 6 or 7. But what do you have? |
Sports › Re: The NBA Begins by steady986(m): 5:41pm On Jun 11, 2019 |
Eruditor: So when Kobe popped his Achilles was it as a result of a calf injury? When Cousins popped his was it as a result of a calf injury?
Your anger is that GSW won the game. Has nothing to do with starting KD or not. If he did not get hurt and we lost you would have had a field day.
Did Klay not rush back after he supposedly pulled a hammy? How come he has not pulled one again? Looney that they said was out of the finals has come back and played good minutes. Is it not the same medical team that cleared him?
Keep celebrating someone's misfortune. This week has surprises for some of you. You heard it here first. Lol. Did you see how low the ice pack was on KD's leg a couple of days ago. It is possible that the injury was at the calf/Achilles junction and they called it a calf, probably out of ignorance or sheer lack of expertise. Did you hear when the GM claimed responsibility for the Achilles injury? Why would he claim responsibility for an injury that just happened? |
Sports › Re: The NBA Begins by steady986(m): 3:45pm On Jun 11, 2019 |
Eruditor: Clearing him was for a calf injury. Nobody knew he would have his Achilles popped like it happened. The Achilles is a new injury which is why Bob Myers was "crying".
At least it puts to bed the rubbish people were saying here that he wanted to leave GSW. Nobody will risk playing for a club you want to leave when you are housing an injury of any kind. They should ask Kawhi. Not when it's the finals |
Sports › Re: The NBA Begins by steady986(m): 3:41pm On Jun 11, 2019 |
Eruditor: Hope you know that the injury he had yesterday is different from the one he had before. There is a way you post sometimes..I wonder if all is well upstairs. If you mean the upstair of the Warriors organization, then you're absolutely right. Will you tell me that this current Achilles injury is not as a result of the so called calf injury he sustained? |
Sports › Re: The NBA Begins by steady986(m): 3:38pm On Jun 11, 2019 |
Eruditor: You are still talking extending series when I am telling you that there was a game 7 and that I know who won. LOL.
Let me tell you something funny; whenever there was a game 6 on home court for a team down 3-2, the NBA always made sure a game 7 happened.
So expect those foul calls that Warriors were not getting to be called in game 6. That 27-14 FT disparity won't happen. I can assure you. All those Kawhi's travels he will get called for them. I said it here first. Watch this space.
Warriors in 7! Lol. I think we should put you on suicide watch, because your disappointment would be so immense. |
