Genesis 1 vv 1 tells us in the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth.
The word "heavens" means the totality of heavens.

So where was God before he made the heavens? The answer is, before God created the heavens and earth only God existed.

John 1vv1 said in the beginning was the word, the word was with God and the word was God.
God can not be defined by size, he God fill the heavens and the earth.

Jude compared the fire that destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah to Judgment in the future.
