Take your nonsense out of my thread.

Again....1. The statement in bold.... that describes the vast majority in Christiandom. You all avoid quoting Jesus Christ, the one who is the Gospel but instead weave your tales - doctrines and traditions- around the words of Paul whose words you conveniently interpret as you choose. undecided

2. There is absolutely nothing intolerant, unsettling and chaotic about Jesus Christ aka God's Gospel and Truth. Stop lying! undecided

One cannot be a Liberal and a Christian. We have lost our way.

"Peace" "Love" & "Tolerance" are gateways to SIN!

Without obedience, fear of punishment and sincere love of God's vengeance there is no worship.

Hellfire awaits such as these.
The key word is people should be told the truth of the gospel and not be watered down.
God is love, yes but God is also a consuming fire.

Steep:
You heard me right!

The bible said we are all sick all humans this sickness is called sin and God is administering treatment free of change, this treatment is Jesus christ.
We receive this cure by believing that truly he died of us and raised up for our justification.

Romans 7:14 For we know that the law is spiritual: but I am carnal, sold under sin.

John 3:14 And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of man be lifted up:

3:15 That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life.

Romans 10:9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.

Salvation is free!
Faith in Jesus plus nothing, not baptism, not restitution, not penance, no nothing just Jesus only.

Ephesians 2:8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:

2:9 Not of works, lest any man should boast.
Amen, yeap, spot on

MaDaRa01:
I keep wondering, is that not stressful?

If we were once in heaven before being born on earth. Then whats the essence of coming down to earth to struggle to go back to the same heaven?

Or perhaps, we were not in heaven before but made by GOD in our mothers womb, why not just kukuma put us in heaven direct instead of first branching earth and be given DO's and DONT's to enter heaven?

My case¡
We were not once in heaven, You were created for one purpose to glorify God, however you and everyone else have sinned and fall short of God's glory.
Struggle to make heaven? Anyone one who is not born again can see the kingdom.

There is only one way to be born again and that is through faith in Jesus christ.

To your second question, I was addressing the point OP made, “that anything the church agrees on, Jesus agrees to it automatically”. That is totally false.
you took it out of context. I also said "any thing that is beneficial to the church"

And to your first question. Let’s not conflate freewill giving with tithing. My questions still stands;

1. Where did God specifically request money as tithes?

2. Asides foreigners resident in the land of Israel, where did God request gentiles either in the old or New Testament to tithe?

3. Were gentile believers required to tithe after the resolution of the first church council in Acts 15?
It is not a must to tithe, of you do you get the blessings of tithing if you don't, you you will not, not just tithing but every other giving in church.

1. I never said tithe is only money.
2. Gentiles were not God's people.
3. The church at that time did not have need for it, people were all ready bring all they had which is more than 10%.

stop writing ARRANT NONSENSE online...nobody gives a Rolls Royce or private jet to these criminals... millions give little money here and there, and that fraudster in robe will collect the tithes given by 100/1000s of people to buy himself a Rolls Royce or private jet. now tell me:" dont you think the tithe money could be better spent, especially in Nigeria where so many xtians cant even get 3 square meals a day?!?!!?

furthermore, if you dont point fingers at these criminals in robe and criticize/demonize them for twisting the word of "god" for their own selfish personal agenda, then you are equally one of these bastard devil in human form, just like these false prophets!!!
Yes there are false pastors, prophets out there but that does not mean you should go against giving and support the work of God.

You have the bible, there is a reason why the bible is one of the cheapest book to have. Search for yourself, speak to God and let him teach you.

The question is are these pastors living/doing like Jesus did? With the high level of corruption/wickedness in our society today, even from the churches? Who are the people engaged in these corruption practices?...

These are the reason poverty is increasing in Nigeria, and we are blindly blaming the government/politicians.........
Taking from the poor to give to the already rich..... Jesus will not collect from the poor instead Jesus said let the rich give to the poor.......
There's something wrong with the way Nigerians in general behave/believe....

You can't go against the law of God and succeed..... I know there are so many gods created by the devil to cause confusion/suffering on earth........
The god of money/greed is what most Nigerian churches operates on, it's called Mammon god....... otherwise with the number of prayers/churches everywhere in Nigeria, Nigeria would've been the best country on this planet.....

Think
Yet people spend money on morally bankrupt satanic celebrities and artist?
People spend money on bbn Nija, promoting decay.

Who told you Jesus would not collect from the poor? The poor widow that gave all she has as offering, why did Jesus not stop her? Yet he commended her.

Ha, you have spoken terribly here. Go and look at Exodus 26, you would see that Moses stopped receiving from the people when he had obtained all he required, so a pastor can not be driving Rolls Royce when the people in the community are hungry and homeless.

And it is this action which made Christianity overtake our pagan and traditional practices.

So, you are very wrong here.
It is not wrong for a pastor to drive a Rolls royce but however it is wrong for not just a pastor or any Christian to lust after material things.
Pastor might chose not to ride such, it is his own choice.

Per the bolded, are you really serious?

Did Jesus agree with the Satanic doctrines (teachings of Balaam and the deeds of the Nicolaitans) prevalent in the church of Pergamum? Revelation 2 v 14-16

Secondly, where did God request tithes be paid monetarily?

Also, after the first church council meeting held in Acts 15, was it required of Gentile believers to practice tithing?
Simple question, the first church council doesn't need to agree on tithing because people were already selling their properties and bringing them to the church and the need to the church were met.
In this day and age how many people can sell al their possessions and bring it to the church?

Is tithing a doctrine of Balaam?

Animal sacrifices started before the law. So, start sacrificing animals to God
before the law, animal were sacrificed as thanks giving to God or an act of appreciation, it wasn't offered for sins.
In the new testament offerings are offered on the basis on what is beneficial to God's people.

Tithe was never paid with money anywhere in the Bible. Scammers in the pulpit have changed it to money.

Deuteronomy 14:22-23 gives instruction for me to eat my tithe. That's the best option. God will rebuke the devourer if I EAT MY TITHE.
who says tithing must be in terms of money only? Anything that would benefit the church good to go. I wonder why you are against what is good!
Christianity Etc › Re: In Defense Of Tithing. by Steep(op): 7:14am On May 01, 2022
Comparing tithing to circumcision is one of the most ignorant, argument against tithing?

In the new testament circumcision is done in the spirit not physical.

We are talking of practical application, tithe is very beneficial to the church, it does not matter how it was done under the law, the church now decied how it should be done to the glory of God. The fact is tithing is a principle that began before the law was introduced even if t was done under the law t makes no difference.
However when it comes to salvation, tithing or not tithing does not save anybody. There is no law that can save anybody only faith in christ alone.

jmoore:
THE TRUTH ABOUT TITHE.

Introduction: If your pastors say giving the needy, widows, orphans 10% of your income is not tithe, that you must pay it to him, then you are attending a business centre, not a church.

Malachi is the favourite book most pastors use to preach tithe. And it is very obvious, they use it because it contains a curse for those who don't pay it. Therefore, it is the 'best' verse used to brainwash Christians.

If you want to preach tithing, preach all verses related to it. Most of these men of God know the other verses but the only one they preach to their audience is Malachi. The sheep they are leading are even lazy to read their own bibles to see the truth for themselves. Note that quarter of truth is no truth, truth must be whole. Don’t add, don't remove.

Tithing is an Old Testament concept, just like circumcision and animal sacrifice. Things Christians were meant to abide to have validations from New testament after death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. There is nowhere tithe was clearly instructed in the New Testament after the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ.

The New Testament focuses on giving without compulsion. 2 Corinthians 9:7 captured it very well “Each one must give as he has decided in his heart, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver".

If you believe in tithing, then you should see other verses of the bible to know how it was applied thousands of years ago. Tithes were not for gentiles, it was for the Jews. Tithes were for the Levites, descendants of Levi. How many of your Pastors that preach Malachi to you are descendants of Levi?

There is a particular portion of the bible most pastors will never preach to you, and that can be found in Deut 14.22-29. Tithe was instructed to be given to the strangers, orphans, widows etc. How many pastors can boldly tell their members to give their tithes to widows and those in need?
The principle of tithing started way before the law was introduced.
If you decide not to tithe it is your cup of tea,
Free will giving, means you are not forced but expected of you to do the right thing, if you sow little you recieve little, if you don't give at all you don't receive.

When you tithe God will rebuke the devourer, so that you can receive your harvest, if you don't give, you are not entitled to recieve hence the devourer will devour the fruit of your ground.

2 Corinthians 9:6 But this I say, He which soweth sparingly shall reap also sparingly; and he which soweth bountifully shall reap also bountifully.

Malachi 3:9 Ye are cursed with a curse: for ye have robbed me, even this whole nation.

In that scripture, a curse is placed on the defaulters, and you say it is free will.

How then tithing is free-will??

Do you even know what it means for something to be free-will?
It means, you are free to choose the option of not paying without any harm or curse
If you refuse to pay tithe after knowing it is good, it becomes a sin on you.
