Ok. As long as you're seeing your doctor already, its fine.

A bit of info on subsequent visits to the hospital and appointments are fixed for you and you are given a call before hand so you know. Even nurses are sent to your resident for check ups up until 6 weeks post partum. So all info are basically passed to you.

Good morning belleful mommies. Im really joyous to find this family. I pray to announce my own BA and BS here also. Please i need help.

I lost my previous pregnancy. I did an evacuation at 12th week. The scan showed that the baby stopped developing at week 8.

I was 9 weeks yesterday and for like 3 days I've been feeling like my boobs dont ache as before and kinda reduced a bit. Im really worried which i also know is not good for me. I've been taking vitamin b, c and iron supplements.
My dear, you should already be registered for antenatal incase you need progesterone support considering your previous miscarriage. Buy folic acid today and go see your doctor tomorrow morning.

Thanks a lot. We will relax our mind then.

Do we need to go with the breast pump? We got one courtesy of our insurance.

As for the car seat, we got one but yet to fix the base. Will do this maybe one of these days.
Yea...thats one of the perks of abroad life.

Hospital gave me a manual one, since you already have one I suggest you go with it especially if its electric.
In the US, you carry your baby out of the hospital in the car seat...but the base would already be fixed in the car.

In a situation where the hospital doesn't give a list, what should one do? Our OBGYN said they don't have anything of such and we were told whenever my wife gets into the active stage of labor (5:1:1 i.e. one contraction that last for a minute every five minutes), we should go to the city's main hospital and once we register, the hospital will call one of their doctors on call to join us. In essence, they do not have a birthing center.

Also, we were told to shop for a pediatrician clinic which we have. Is there anything we need to go with for the pediatrician? Also, after certified okay, when is the first pediatrician visit as we need to get an insurance plan for the baby but it might take up to 3 days before it is activated?

We are trying to get the bag set and not sure what exactly we need to. So far, we have:
3 pieces of clothes for the newborn,
1 pack newborn diapers,
1 pack wipes,
4 maternity bras,
Clothes for the mother.
I'm guessing you are in the abroad grin?

The hospital list thing is a Nigerian/African thing...hospitals abroad provide the basic things required for delivery. The hospital even gives you stuff like diapers, wipes, formula, clothes, disposable pants for the mother...I even got a breast pump.
In that case, the only thing you need is going home clothes for the baby and comfy clothes for the mother, car seat...pretty much..and anything she'd need to make her stay more comfortable. An extra blanket for you to sleep with, snacks for you, phone chargers etc

For pead visit, you can ask the doctor when you can visit for checks...if circumcision is done at the hospital before discharge you wouldn't need a visit for about 1 week (I think)

Sorry for your loss.

Ovulation occurs before menstruation. So once your body is strong enough you can resume BD and hopefully you'd conceive without getting a period

I think you can get OTC antacids safe for pregnancy to relief the heartburn.

In this our journey of bringing a life into the world, we focus on the baby and buy things for the baby but most times neglect ourselves. Although its a given that every pregnancy for every woman is different (this is my second pregnancy and I didnt need anything for my first cos it went so smoothly), but when we encounter these 'pregnancy packages' we can try to make it a bit easier for us....if we can afford to.
These are my challenges so far and how I've been able to 'manage it.

Back pain
I had backpain at the very beginning of my pregnancy (6 weeks)..I already have an orthopaedic bed cos I have a history of backpain but this one was pregnancy induced. So I got a pregnancy pillow. Its U-shaped and apart from helping with my backpain it also helps ensure I sleep on my side.
I got this off Jiji but found it cheaper at ebeano supermarket angry

Pregnancy belly band.
This helps with backpack when you're upright..it helps lift the belly up so the strain isn't on your back.
I already had a 3 in 1 postpartum belt from my first pregnancy so I'm using it as a bellyband.

Hemorrhoids
This one cry...Only God can actually help with this one...but mine only pops out when I take a dump making wiping with toilet paper or wipes painful. So I got a bidet spray off jumia and installed it DIY....
I also have a foot stool I use when on the toilet so I don't strain.
I also snack on garden eggs...they're natural stool softeners.

Fetal doppler..
This one is just for peace of mind...so I'm not running to the scan center every time, I just listen to my baby's heartbeat when I feel there's reduced movement.

Stretchmarks
Although you can't prevent this one, using creams and oils just help reduce the itching that comes with stretchmarks. With my first I didn't have marks on my belly itself, just my sides and they became less visible after my stomach became flat. So far its been the same but I'm using Palmers stretchmark cream and I have no itching.

I have a bottle of gaviscon on my nightstand. .although I dont have heartburn o but there's a myth that if your baby has plenty hair you'd have heartburn especially in the 3rd trimester and I'm praying for plenty hair for my baby K. grin.

So thats it!. Hopefully I dont need anymore than a full-body massage I've been craving cry

Mommas please what brand of ovulation test kit and pregnacare would you recommend?

Also someone told me gorontula boosts ovulation.
In fact she claims it's natural IVF as most people who use it have multiples.
Anyone heard about this?
Ovulation test kit...best to buy one that comes in bulk so you're able to start testing early in your cycle...you'd find sellers on jiji that sell packs of 50 and affordable...depending on your location though

Pregnacare conception

Gorontula..never heard of the ovulation/ivf claim. Only heard its an aphrodisiac.

Plan to BD every two days from when your period ends to the start of your next cycle...waiting to BD during ovulation is the cause of delay for some people because they usually miss it.

Good evening ma. Am sorry for bothering you, please bear with me.

I bought manix and vitamin e today and I read manix should be taken with a glass of milk but hubby doesn't like talking milk, what should I do?
You're not bothering me.

When there's a specific instruction on a drug, you have to follow it. Please make sure he doesn't take the manix if he can't take it with milk.
You can choose to buy fertilaid products but they're more expensive.

And my employer engaged the services of an immegration consultant and the process started from April, 2019 till March 10th 2020, ... covid delay passport return till yesterday. .. but the process of interview and LMIA is very tedious... I wouldn't advice anybody to walk dat route I had patience because age and IELTS average score can't allow me go through express entry or school. And it's my sister so I kept on following as the process kept on crawling like snail.. but .. Am grateful to God immensely
So this isn't a visit visa?

Thank you for your response. I've gotten her the blood tonic. I'm still using the same hospital. She was on pregnacare max only prior to now. She was feeling weak and dizzy which is why we did the test. However the baby is doing fine and growing well. The garden egg leaves, will she eat it raw or will it be prepared as a soup ?
I thought so because pregnacare was the only drugs offered to me there but my new hospital added iron tabs citing that pregnacare doesn't have enough iron composition..
She just needs to chew the leaves raw

Good morning everyone, Please I need advice. My wife has a low PCV of 26 and also has malaria based on blood test. The doctor recommended Lonart for the malaria and Dedeon HB 12 Syrup blood tonic . I saw online that that blood tonic shouldn't be taken during pregnancy but the doctor said it's okay . She's in the third trimester. I also want to confirm if there are specific foods she can be eating to boost her PCV. I've checked online for some but I will be glad if people in this forum can share their experiences and ideas. Thank you .
Are you still using the same hospital we talked about? If yes, did they give her iron fesolate drugs alongside her pregnacare? Please buy her fesolate or blood tonic to start taking ASAP.

The pilot made a very basic error as captured in this quote : " “The helicopter has an endurance of 3:24h. The operational flight plan filed by the pilot indicated an endurance of 3:15h and an estimated flight time of 2:45h."

For the pilot to have filed a flight time that only fuel burn margin of THIRTY MINUTES, means that the pilot left virtually no extra fuel at all, because any headwind encountered on that flight would have consumed far more than 8 minutes worth of fuel, making a crash highly likely even in the best of circumstances.

It is the height of irresponsibility to allow an un-licensed individual to take the controls of any aircraft, and the airline that did so with these tragic results, is likely to be sued of of business, by families of the crash victims.
An unfortunate incident...
However, he was licensed to fly the aircraft.
His licence isn't valid because of coronavirus travel restrictions not allowing crew member go for their 6monthly simulator check..the NCAA isn't processing medical/licence renewal, only extending validity on already expired licences

Well, I have told you that most rig operators demand this specification from their contracting aviation company because of the obvious hazard risk and load specification requirements in landing on their platforms
Lies again.
No oil company/rig operator will demand a specification that isn't built-in an aircraft.

You said you worked as an aircraft engineer that's why I responded to you initially but its obvious you're just spinning tales.
If indeed you worked anywhere near a Helicopter you'd know the process of jettisioning fuel involves a human physically opening the fuel valve which cannot be done inflight.
So kindly stop with your fables.

Wrong.

Helicopters do have and it is becoming a standard by some national civial aviation regulators
Lies. They are not designed to jettison fuel. And civil aviation has nothing to do with an aircraft mechanism

At 5,000ft cruising at over 150mph , the fuel will be dispersed in the atmosphere and will not even reach the ground .

Think.
Kindly stop peddling falsehood. A Helicopter doesn't have the mechanism for dumping fuel.
