I've always respected Ribadu for his strong stance against corruption but fighting corruption alone is not enough.

It might not be labelled as corrupt for a person in Govt. to have a  fleet of 12 expensive  official cars, 4 special assistants, a very expensive mansion which will become his own after serving in office and an average of N290million for one man's official  salary and expenses and many more exceses too embarrasing to mention but I say it is GROSS MISMANAGEMENT of public funds.

We should not only use this time to fight corruption but also fight this gross mismanagement of funds in high places. Government. Should not be made too attractive and lucrative as it makes d larger bunch of our people lazy and greedy power seeking loofs, if u r not dere to serve and sacrifice bloody 4UCK off!

So many Ignoramuses still talking about how reverting subsidy to N65 would bring Naija to its knees, Wake up dummies NAiJA has been on its knees 4 several years and you know what caused it? CORRUPTION and MISMANAGEMENT of Nigeria's funds by successive greedy and senseless Govts of which GEJ's administration is one of the worst!!!

In less dan 2 yrears in power GEJ's government squandered all our foreign reserves saved up by previous Govt. worth $33billion and has nothing to show 4 it. Yet promises that they will put the $8billion to be saved from fuel subsidy removal to infrastructural development. My people how can someone achieve something with $8BN that he could not achieve with $33BN? All we hear is increase in govt spending 4 demselves, 1billion 4 food, 45.8million on news papers, 290million per senators etc and u guys say d ideot knows what he's doing?? Dem use jaZz for u?

We aint ready to finance a bloated, greedy, selfish govt. any more and we know this is exactly what the fuel subsidy savings will be used for especially with a weak blockhead like Gej on seat. if the things outlined by Tinaalouka can be implemented alongside people focused projects of which electricity is paramount ill be all for the removal a 100%

For a govt which claims one of its major objectives is provision of employment, this move is completely antagonistic. The busses provided which am sure would be a partnership with a private company probably owned by one Pdp loyal theif (maybe Dangote) will push many okada, bus and taxi owners out of business as they probably would get cheaper fuel or some advantage as d Govt recognised carriers.

You render millions of hustling self employed people jobless by taking d power of their business which was PETROL yet U BASTARDS especially FG has not implemented the N18000 minimum wage nor paid many project contractors! ImO oil subsidy story is a fraud, check this out without bias

159 litres

, 2) Our Refineries (i.e 4) Installed
(combined) capacity = 445,000
, barrels per day

3) Actual refineries capacity due to
ageing equipment = 30% i.e. 133,500
barrels per day

4) . . 133,500 barrels = 21.2 million litres

5)If truly our Local required consumption (F.O.S) =
35millions litres

6) It means that even our MORIBOND
refineries can actually meet over 60% of our local
consumption need of petroleum.

7) The cost structure of crude oil (i.e.
Qua Iboe Crude Oil) production;
- Findings / development - $3.5
- Production cost - $1.5
- Refining Cost - $12.6
- Pipeline/transportation - $1.5
- Distr/bridging fund Margin -$15.69

True cost of one litre of petroleum
anywhere in Nigeria;
- Total sum cost = $34.8
- 1ltr cost = $34.8/159 litres = $0.219
- Naira equiv. 0.219xN160= N35.02k
- Add Tax N5 + N35.02 = N40.02

9) Let FGN refute the above composition
and if not, they should tell us how
they came about N65/litre.

10) Locally refined products cannot be
sold at International price.

11) We really do not need FGN SUBSIDY
as there was NONE in the first place.

12) What is LACKING, is the WILL to
enforce LAW ON CORRUPTION.

Again my advise to GEJ is that since some northern elites threatened and decided to make nigeria ungovernable if he won the elections. They talk about using the subsidy monies to develop infrastructure and the economy, yeah right! if they were really serious these could have been achieved even with subsidy in place.

Presently, we hear of individuals who steal up to N80billion of monies originally meant 4 such development yet are getting away with it,( mind u, 1billion can construct a 20km road or build 400 2bedroom flats, not to talk of what 80 can do). Mark my words after this subsidy removal be prepared to hear of members of these cabals getting away with Thrillions of Nairas meant for the said development  at the detriment of the common man! And lucky joe won't do SH!!t about them!
