Am sure this friend is actually u, anyway ill say u show him by actions that u really care about him beyond the normal "friends" level and make him feel completely comfortable around u. @poster I really felt for u when I read this stuff, but I must admit this is what so many typical responsible guys who struggled to make it quite early in life went through, sacrificing and spending a fortune on a chick for years only to finally get broken hearted. I've been there myself and am wiser for it. U can still find a good man and with ur experience and expectations it would be much easier to separate the real from chaff now.

Its ok to feel special with what uve done but seriously as Slimy or what's the name of that one who calls d men in her life weasels said; its really no biggie. I know a couple of Naija girls who have turned down young men with private jets and yatchs. Even my fine 28yr old cousin was turned down severally though politely even with his all his 2008-2011 porshe Suvs and properties by a simple yabatech girl despite his honest intentions for a full year in Naija till he gave up.

Falling in love again is possible but to make it right it must be a gradual decent. U must not push urself or jump to fall cos u r desperate or d person seems perfect on d outside otherwise u could fall hard without him really planing to catch u! And most importantly resisting at all cost to fall because of past occurrences or because of familiarity is a major mistake.

Pls answer this, were u close to his folks? If u are just find a way of asking them what the revelation truly was. Did u say u both love each other, or do just think she actually loves u as much as u do her? Women unlike men are often more selfish in relationship issues and could snap off the entire history u have both had over a little incident.

Never undermine the importance of work experience. My personal experience has proved that its important to develop soft skills and professional background in ur career after first degree b4 furthering on your education.

Firstly it helps you focus on your specific area of interest based on d experience u have had on the field in such area, making it clear what area ur masters should be in.

Secondly I discovered most of my colleagues who came for a masters just after first degree in the UK ended up finding it difficult to get jobs, firstly because they were seen as inexperienced unlike their UK counterparts who had been involved in well structured internship programmes with good companies while studying and secondly because their MSc made them seem over qualified especially as their would be bosses were barely first degree holders.

In Nigeria OND and HND guys are getting jobs faster as they are easier to negotiate salaries with than the big-headed yet mostly inexperienced BSc holders not to talk of the inexperienced MSc holder.

Hence many companies like mine in Naija who don't want to pay highly educated ignoramuses rather bring in semi experienced OND & HND holders with 1yr IT training and later train them through various professional courses, enabling them grow to the point of handling responsibilities even MSc guys would die 4.
So work experience FIRST is a Yes Yes!
