If GEJ himself isn't corrupt shouldn't men like Tinubu be cooling off in a gaol by now. Reasons why we claim he is insincere and clueless

GEJ is grinding and jerking Nigeria to a halt. His only job as president is to hide under useless and preposterous committees which he has regularly used as red herrings. This guy is the biggest mistake made in the history of Nigeria!

Hilarious! bros, na Dame P go get all the properties ascribed to GEJ from her days as civil servant in Rivers because bro J na ordinary Zoology lecturer that deals mostly with animals than human ,so students won't patronise him for expo.
Politics › Re: The Grand Larceny Called The Jonathan Government–by Ayobami Oyalowo by takedat(m):
This article simply raised my anger level to a higher decibel. The rot in this government is just overwhelming and its leader, corruption personified. Men who should be incarcerated unfortunately ends up as our leader due to religious sentiment, nepotism and tribal factor. This is the time to stop our usual "them versus us", "na our son" sentiment and collectively unite to take our destiny away from Rulers who have vowed to bankrupt our commonwealth. This country is fast sliding into a dysfunctional state but its never too late to rise up from our silent anguish!

taharqa: Now assuming this #6.2billion is actuali to be usd for publicity (whateva dat means), then it is both wasteful and stu.pid. Howeva, i seriously doubt it; and what to see d Minister being directly quoted as saying it, and also importantly wud want to see the breakdown of the proposd Budgetary spending. Since Oct, many Nigerian newspapers reportd that the Presidency was going to use #1.3billion to feed itself cos they saw d sum as d amount proposd under the heading 'food, entertainment and other expenses' when the actual amount meant for food and entertainment for thousands of ppl (villa residents and guests) was #203million when the details of d that budgetary heading was releasd. Moreova, only #17million was approvd for publicity dis yr from d article, so it hard to bliv dat #6.2billion wud be usd for 5 yrs when only #17m was appropiatd in d main yr of lobbying for the bill..... Lets find out the details sha, and if it is true that #6billion was actuali proposd just for publicity (again, what d heell does dis mean), then it is most wasteful and shld not be approvd by d NA, period
Politics › Re: “labaran Maku, Most Corrupt Federal Minister” – Presidency by takedat(m): 11:29am On Dec 03, 2012
banki: I wonder what you mean by impeccable reputation a man of character..... The same man that was deputy governnor to Abdulahi Adamu for four years and virtually did nothing but share Nassarawa states meagre resource and turn the state into debt crises.

The same character of a man who was known as an sug president in University of JOs AND campaigned against policies he now supports because he is chopping?

The story by the op doesnt make sense, but any attempt to make labaran maku look like a saint should be nipped in the bud, besides why did they stop the good governanc tour, why have they not visited all the states, they should show us good governance in maiduguri, Damaturu etc those places are part of nigeria, and they should and must go by road.... they should go to lokoja, and edo state during the raining season, then they should face east and head for anambara through Delta, then to enugu then to imo and abia by road, then they would know if nigerians believe governments bull shit.
Bros why you come dey open the guy yansh so? Seriouly I am yet to define the role of Maku in this government as most of his duties have been taken over by Abati and Okupe.

Politics › Re: Falana Threatens To Sue FG Over NNPC Appointments by takedat(m): 10:54am On Dec 03, 2012
Gbawe: Man mi, sometimes, it makes one want to cry for Nigeria. Falana reveals the total arbitrariness and disregard for the law with which the Country is being run and some are distractingly only able to contribute silly comments while ignoring the very grave subject matter.

Ordinarily, Nigerians, if politically sophisticated, should be enraged by this adhoc and disdainful disregard for legal provisions. If the NNPC act stipulates that the number of board members for the parastatal should be 7 why has it now gone up to 9 with the appointment of Orasanye and Otti?

Are we just a daft people or is the wider implication not obvious? I.e the thought that this same lawlessness is routine in every aspect and area of the administration of Nigeria under this government?
Nigerians are so nonchalant and oppressed to the extent that we fail to question our government while those who take up the gauntlet to do so are called names. Its highly disturbing that till date none has asked the government the cost of the contract awarded to JB and RCC to rehabilitate the Lagos Ibadan expressway after the concession given to Bi Courtney was withdrawn. Similar infractions like the mentioned where government arbitrarily took decisions without no one to question them.
Not until we collectively begin to question and hold these guys accountable to us, before we can make progress.
Politics › Re: Falana Threatens To Sue FG Over NNPC Appointments by takedat(m):
I am particularly concern of the rationale behind the appointment of Orosanye into the board of NNPC while still sitting on the board of CBN. There is a sinister motive behind his appointment to such strategic organisations, surely to Promote and Protect the "business" interest of GEJ
Politics › Re: Despite Bombings, Nigeria Remains Safe – GEJ by takedat(m): 8:13am On Dec 03, 2012
The country is safe while the president hides himself in the Villa, doubles his security personnel and scared of visiting Yobe and Borno!
Politics › Re: FG To Spend N6.2bn On PIB Awareness Campaign by takedat(m):
Abacha wherever he is will feel vindicated when compared to GEJ's government in terms of profligacy. A ministry that runs on an annual budget of N2.2billion wants to create awareness on a bill for N6.2billion in 5years, isn't that why budgetary provisions are made for agencies like NOA? Aren't NTA, VON and FRCN government controlled? Sick of this government of MORO.NS

Yeah the Judge has an impeccable and outstanding career especially in the face of our cash and carry judicial system. Men like Bode George will forever be embittered and livid with this judge for sending his ar.se to prison.
Even if he doesn't attain the position of a Chief Judge, his name has forever been preserved for posterity!

Politics › Re: British Politician Chides Nigerian Press For Their Negativity by takedat(m):
I would have accepted this view if it was from a Nigerian but from a Brits is a no, no. Guess she was trying to suck up to Maku, what we all need to realise is that if things are positive in Nigeria, you cannot create a negative version of it
But if negative, you cannot make a positive of it.

She should rather counsel our leaders to live up to their responsibilities!

Lerin: It was amazing listening to chairman house committee on NAVY on AIT this evening urging Nigerian NAVY to stop all "OIYEL (oil) THEIVING" in the country. What a grammatical blunder, can someone send him back to Community Secondary School for him to know better that it should be "OIL THEFT"
You need to go back to school yourself, there is nothing wrong with "oil thieving" depending on the context which it is used. Olodo!

Maxymilliano: I appreciate your observation bro, but I ain't a government official in whatever capacity. I'm just a private citizen who just tend to see things beyond the accepted norm.
Max, you need to reveal your true identity cos you seem to have access to classified information that we all aint privy to.

Politics › Re: The Looting Of Lagos By Tinubu And Fasola Exposed by takedat(m):
Na wao, so what should we do about this expose? To petition the EFCC, the Op said it has been compromised. You claimed Tinubu was let off the hook by the CCB panel because of his unwritten agreement with GEJ and the state house of assembly are core loyalists of the duo. While Most of the lagos elites are also close associate of Tinubu.

@Op, since GEJ has a pact with Tinubu and the EFCC is under his control, there is little or nothing we all can do. It is left for GEJ with all his self proclaimed anti corruption drive to do something about it. The irony of it all is that GEJ himself is Corruption personified!

dont8: Gbawe has said it all, the op did Ogunde no justice, how can he associate him with 'Nothinwood', he should have aptly titled it 'The Father and Founder Nigerian Film'.
Nollywood is another name for crappy movies and I agree with most posters that it is a grave injustice to associate an icon like Pa Ogunde with it. Even the first home video shoot titled Ekun was done by a yoruba guy in 1988 as against a living in bondage of 1993!
Days of films shot on celluloid by great yoruba actors cannot be compared with nollywood

Since the coming into Power of GEJ, Nigeria has become a Superhighway of corruption, with GEJ unashamedly directing the traffic.

Politics › Re: Will You Vote Obanikoro or Agbaje For Govnor Against ACN - 2015 Lagos by takedat(m): 9:57pm On Dec 01, 2012
djustice: You think Lagosians are blind, and cannot see Tinubu's determination to own everything and everyone in Yorubaland? Your thick skull is not allowing you to absorb the message from last years LG elections, abi? Is this how you and your nazi Asiwaju Criminal Network plan to "win" elections in the south west again? Ever heard of wetie before? Ee mo b'osenlo! Idanwo lo bi iya okere! Ekiti and Oyo are definitely back to PDP, following the greedy and heartless displays of your Akotileta district officers, parading themselves as governors. Osun is gone, and with the investiture of that bug-eyed criminal as Aare Ago of Abeokuta, Ogun is gone too.

You will learn how to spell Gbadamosi right when he sweeps you lot out of Lagos with your igbale agbepo. Let PDP Lagos just give him the ticket.
Even if Lagosians are eager to displace Tinubu, should we then replace him with a Bode George led PDP in Lagos? We are not ready to move from frying pan to fire!
Politics › Re: What About Us? by takedat(m): 6:00pm On Dec 01, 2012
Thoughtful and incisive article. I agree that there is need to galvanise Nigerians but how realistic is this in a society where people are highly sentimental in favour of their religious brethren, ethnic distrust pervades everywhere, unemployment and poverty eating deeply into our fabric, some of us are champions of tribal politics and the quasi intellectuals have cheaply sold their conscience to become courtiers at the villa and state government houses, while the less fortunate ones amongst them are beneficiary of laptops through which they disseminate falsehood and defend all the shortcomings of their principal like he could never do no wrong!

The wind of change will eventually blow sooner or later either through partitioning of Nigeria or a revolution but seems elusive through the ballot box at least for now!

taharqa: Tinubu is presenting undagoing Corruptn cases in court for the past 2 yrs...plz mk sure of yr facts b4 spitting them in public
Which court and when was he arraigned? GEJ should get the EFCC to prosecute him if they have anything on him, I am tired of all these allegations and nothing happening except if most of the allegations are mere slander and propaganda.
Politics › Re: Will You Vote Obanikoro or Agbaje For Govnor Against ACN - 2015 Lagos by takedat(m):
afam4eva: Has Tinubu ever imposed a popular candidate? Was Fashola popular when he was imposed on Lagosians?
That will be his greatest undoing if he follows that path, ACN needs to imbibe internal democracy if it is to win the next election. Me think Jimi or Mamora should be given a chance, Koro failed himself by accepting the ambassadorial job. He ought to have stayed back to consolidate on his little success
Politics › Re: Will You Vote Obanikoro or Agbaje For Govnor Against ACN - 2015 Lagos by takedat(m): 5:46pm On Nov 30, 2012
afam4eva: I remember he was in DPP when he contested against Fashola. Even if he's in ACN, i see him decamping to another party since Tinubu will not vest the governorship ticket to him.
The only way another party will topple ACN in Lagos is if Tinubu imposes an unpopular candidate. Jimi comes across as an intelligent person though!

Well the funny thing is that Jimi Agbaje is an ACN member. Most important personalities in Lagos politics belong to ACN
