Asari or not, its becoming obvious to all that we have only Duffers with a trainload of ineptitude at the helms of affair! It is only if Nigerians are perennial slowpokes that a powerless government will again be voted for.
Politics › Re: Who Do You Trust More: ACN Or PDP by takedat(m): 7:52pm On Dec 14, 2012
All the political parties have their peculiar failings but PDP is Nigeria's greatest mistake after amalgamation!
Politics › Re: I'll Perform Better In 2013 - Jonathan by takedat(m): 1:46pm On Dec 14, 2012
Maxymilliano: I did not vote for PDP in the last Presidential election but most of the pessimist you see just choose to be perpetually blind to some of the President achievement 'coz some of us don't like the person of the President.

I use the word 'us' because I was also an ardent critic of the President, especially on his facebook page. My critiques of the President won my opinion numerous 'likes' and unsolicited friend request on facebook while it last till I experienced some of his perceived accomplishments.

I got compelled to board some of the revamped rail train by circumstance from Lagos to Ijoko in Sango Ota last year, I opted for the air conditioned coach and it was a pleasant ride. It was there and then it occurred to me that this was this same accomplishment the President stated on his facebook wall which I criticized at length with my response. Need to add that my criticism got me 32 likes and about 10 'emergency' friend request.

Like I said earlier, Jonathan is at a crossroad of perception and our perception of the President achievement should depend on the brass tacks instead of the general bandwagon mentality.
Max, i strongly oppose your submission that the negative perception towards GEJ is bourne out of a bandwagon mentality. Have you asked yourself what could certainly have gone wrong within the last election when people overwhelmingly voted him in and now? The truth is, he is in no way different from our past leaders, the worst of them will also lay claim to some achievements of his time so most people aren't blinded or overwhelmed by what the Op calls the GEJ's achievement. The unbridled level of corruption and the bogus figures that accompanies all these graft cases, gives all the impression that GEJ is also there to consolidate on the lootocracy of past governments!

A government so powerless to govern at all, save in unrestrained plunder and a National Assembly populated by criminals and thieves.

Fresh Air=Consolidating the Lootocracy!
Politics › Re: I'll Perform Better In 2013 - Jonathan by takedat(m): 10:08am On Dec 14, 2012
Stubborn hope is a necessary condition for sanity so I'll afford the government a benefit of doubt to prove my cynicism otherwise but with a cabinet peopled by treasury looters, Its gonna be a miracle to see any level of efficiency and performance amid a trainload of ineptitude!

Mandelaguy: And if this is all your dumb brain has to offer in response to the facts raised by the Op, then it's a pity. Imbecility cannot come in a better form.
So having a "strong" presence on social media and a BB pin has translated to achievement? Sorry I don't celebrate mediocrity, yeye dey smell!
Politics › Re: Labaran Maku: Best Minister Of Information Ever? by takedat(m): 9:59am On Dec 13, 2012
grin grin grin grin grin grin I feel Maku's pain, the guy is so out of prominence with Abati and Okupe completely taken over his duties. Maku truly needs a good PR from his suck ups!
Politics › Re: Oil Block(OPL 245): Premium Times Doing Dirty Job For The Abacha's Family by takedat(m): 9:23pm On Dec 08, 2012
Sincere 9gerian: Their is every thing wrong in Premium Times coming under guise of phantom investigative journalism to push the course of third party. The use phantom investigative journalism and propaganda to discredit a transaction and possibly terminate it and transfer the oil block to Abacha's son is IMMORAL.
Guy, stop this finger pointing and buck passing. If Etete and the top government officials named in the scandal feels Ptimes have been making false allegations against them, they should approach the court. Both Mohammed Abacha and Dan Etete are ROGUES, none would have heard of this scam if PTimes had not reported on it.
Politics › Re: Oil Block(OPL 245): Premium Times Doing Dirty Job For The Abacha's Family by takedat(m): 6:31pm On Dec 08, 2012
Premium times is only doing its job as an online news outlet and has been doing its investigative reportage effectively well. It is quite possible that the Abacha's brought their attention to the under the table dealings between Etete and the FG while they(PM times) carry out their investigation on what actually transpired. The bone of contention should be on whether the deal was an "illegality". Dan Etete and the Abacha's are all Devious, so opening a thread to side a party as against another is mischievous.
Premium times cannot be faulted on this, they have named names, contacted EFCC and done thorough investigated journalism on this Malabu oil scam. If the FG or Etete feels maligned by Premium times, they should sue them for libel and defamation of character!
Politics › Re: Jonathan’s Foreign Trips Gulp N3.3bn …travelled 20 Times In 2012 by takedat(m):
taharqa: I get what u are trying to say now, but beg to disagree. By dis yr reasoning, it means that Foreign direct investment in Nigeria as at 2010 is WORTH (valued at) $6.1bn which increasd in value to $8.9bn last yr? Do u know d value of Mtn, airtel and etisalat investments in nigeria alone, talkless of those in Oil and Gas, real estates, customer services, agric, industries and even portfolio flows?...plz i might need a source for dis claim of yrs. Thnx
Bros, you are right n perfectly agree with you but I am trying to explain how it affects our economy in net inflows interns of GDP and balance of payment. The FDI is about equity capital for "new" investment for that year, reinvestment of earnings etc but can you tell me the sectors where the so called $8.92billion is/was invested in 2010/2011
Politics › Re: Jonathan’s Foreign Trips Gulp N3.3bn …travelled 20 Times In 2012 by takedat(m):
taharqa: can you explain furda? Dont get u..is Foreign direct investments not inflows to d economy?
As at 2010, the FDI grew to $6.1billion and in 2011 increased to $8.92billion. This is commendable considering the level of insecurity and other factors. FDI to SA rebounded from $1.23billion in 2010 to $5.81billion in 2011m

taharqa: 3.3bn since 2010; 20 foreign trips in 2012. So?..... In oda news, Nigeria attractd $8.9billion in Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) in 2011 alone according to UNCTAD, by far d largest in d history of d nation and i think (sic?) d 1st time it significantly dwarfd those of SA... If foreign travels by presidents is meant to attract FDIs, amongst oda tins, Good job Mr. President
Politics › Re: Senate Approves 7.9 Billion Dollars Borrowing For 2013!! by takedat(m): 9:10am On Dec 08, 2012
This government within 2 years has borrowed N2.57trillion, lost almost N5trillion to subsidy fraud, crude oil theft and other fraudulent activities. Government can save extra $10billion annually by tackling corruption in NNPC alone.

Well, Looting and Pillaging of our commonwealth and mortgaging our future are the main goals of theses political thieves!
Politics › Re: Chris Okotie’s Party Rejects De-registration By INEC by takedat(m): 6:41am On Dec 08, 2012
Seeking redress in court is one of the beauties of democracy. I am convinced that INEC has no powers to de register a political party. The constitution supersedes an act, if INEC feels the need to de register any political party it should seek an amendment to the existing laws.

Politics › Re: Okupe Defends Jonathan’s Friendship With VIP-ex-convicts by takedat(m): 1:24pm On Dec 07, 2012
Sincere 9gerian: I thought these persons have all served their prison terms? Should ex-convicts now be barred from walking on certain roads or going to certain places? Are they now less human because they'r ex-convicts? Was the prison term not meant to CORRECT them and make them BETTER citizens once they'r out of prison? The SELF-RIGHTEOUS attitude of some Nigerians is disgusting.
Guess morality and decency are two words missing in your dictionary. It shows you know nothing of civility and what leadership entails, so you'll probably see nothing wrong with GEJ befriending prosti.tutes and armed robbers since to you being self righteous is disgusting
Politics › Re: Okupe Defends Jonathan’s Friendship With VIP-ex-convicts by takedat(m):
GEJ and his cohorts are morally bankrupt hence they see no fuss in fraternising with ex cons'. Even the constitution bars ex cons from contesting for elective positions, this shows that such people should always be avoided like the plague.

Okupe is a big disgrace to the Yoruba race for associating men like Bode George to Awolowo as ex convicts!
Politics › Re: FG Insists On New Villa Banquet Hall by takedat(m): 8:56am On Dec 07, 2012
This government is a Spendthrift and the opposite of a Wise and Frugal one, Mediocrity at its best. GEJ is the 6th occupant of the Villa and none of his predecessors saw the need to build a new banquet hall to the existing structures in the Villa, even Abacha with his known profligate spending did not build one and a GEJ who gives the impression that he wants to be frugal in spending wants to build one for his convenience. The International Conference Centre is government owned and there for government to use for hosting events. The minister's excuse is inane!
Politics › Re: FG Blamed The Media For Recent Nigerian Poor Rating by takedat(m):
The Blame Game, with its finger pointing and mutual buck passing are ploys employed by this government to shield itself and divert all blames to either the Opposition, an unknown Cabal, Media or Nigerians. When charlatans find themselves in undeserving positions of authority, they become demagogues and suffer from delusional dementia.

Why should Nigerians be blamed for perceiving the government as corrupt when top government officials reeks of corruption. Corruption is the 37th State of the Federation!

akpomeme: Bro that is not the point... what I am saying is that you called me a butt licker then I tried explaining that feels more like me calling you an opposition because of what you wrote. All I advocated for was for you to respect the fact that I found it right in me to wish her a wonderful birthday and long life. I have done a bit of research and I am impressed by the policy pursuits of this government espcially in the Oil and Gas sector.

We all feel this way because we have fed fat from Sahara Reporters... I bet sooner or later Sahara will tell us the next person she is bleeping and that distracts as well as distort the strenght she brings on the tabel.
Ok bro, well noted and your opinion counts, its what pleases you!

akpomeme: You have derailed the thread.. it was a simple wish topic, then you started off on butt licking.. and now voltron. I respect your opinion so I cant call you an agent of the opposition, can I?
I'll bear no grudge even if you label me an opposition after all its what this government is known for. Presidency blame Opposition, Diezani blames Marketers, Maku blames the Media, Sanusi blames Banks, Youth minister blames the Youth and so on. Don't wanna be a spoiler so HBD to her!

akpomeme: You have passed judement already. Unless there is something you know that we dont know or you are feeding fat off Sahara Reporters... I guess corruption is telling the IOC that enough is enough on how they operate in Nigeria and seek to empower the Nigerian people and companies through PIB... I guess corruption is pushing for and getting the Local content act passed that allows more Nigerian companies gain patronage with IOC outside fat lebabnese and wananbe oyibos (Indians) and western people getting all the Oil and Gas contracts in Nigeria and controlling everything?...

Define corruption Mr. and tell me what is worng in wishing people good health and wisdom... You better have your information ready or put your tails inbetween your thighs and go...lol Olodo...
Ok, You are not her butt licker but her voltron hence you are defending her this much? Please don't get me started or else this thread will be derailed
Politics › Re: Happy 53rd Birthday To Diezani Alison-madueke by takedat(m):
akpomeme: What is wrong in creating something to wish someone a happy birthday.. why are you beefing. for your information I am not a butt licker. I am aware of what the issues are and because of how sensitive her job is, people will fight her when they dont get what they want.

Needless to say that she has been the longest on that sit. There must be something she is doing right for people to be fighting her and for Mr. President to allow her on the job.
and when did it become a virtue to send birthday greetings to an inept and corrupt minister? Abeg no time to waste time!
