That 70K Xiaomi you talked about is still out of reach of many people in Nigeria.
30k Android phones can do most of what you do with it, so why are you wasting your money?

Spending power is relative to your income and net worth.
70k seems affordable to you, but to some it's out of reach.

So let's say a guy is earns far superior income compared to you, he'd certainly see 235k as affordable also.

And of course some people will probably buy a phone of 1million Naira, misplace it and won't even feel sad, because their purse is obese.

Expensive is relative.

Durability and resell value.
