These women don't get it, do they? It is impossible for men and women to be equal in marriage in Nigeria with the way things being done.

Let me break it down a little.

You and your love decides to marry - you visit her parents - they agree - then tell you what you need to bring - you agree - you bring them - you pay her price - when the parents are satisfied - they hand her over to you- she becomes your wife.

Love aside, isn't that a pure business arrangement? Then how can she claim equal with you?

I expect Nigeria women to first of all stand up and fight against this first before they can talk about equality or equity in marriage.

Education

Irrelevant. Girls outnumber guys in most schools in Nigeria and there's no discrimination at all.

Employment

Also irrelevant, bosses hire qualified people. Male or female.

Nope, they're saying that our national laws have taken care of that already.
