To be frank, the 'destructive hooliganism' you talked about was introduced by Apc and do we really blame people that wants to pay them back in their own coin? Please let sanity reign
Your previous post on this thread suggests that you are a reasonable person.

I do not recall that GEJ was vilified by anybody in his 100 days in office. Matter of factly, he enjoyed the support of nearly all till electioneering time. Perhaps, our people need to learn to support anyone in power until election time because when they fail we all fail. Those who wish the current government failure are just plainly stupid, unpatriotic and imbecilic. It is tantamount to wishing away 4 years of one's life.

God bless you.

Buhari is deceiving himself. His cow miraculously jumped for 150 to 270; who is deceiving who? We will keep wailing!
Not everybody can and will like PMB, opposition is a very necessary ingredient for a vibrant democracy. However, opposition only ridicules itself when they cannot criticize the PMB government objectively and intelligently.

For the avoidance of doubt all livestock farmers know that the number of your animals can increase in the following:

1. Your existing animals can give birth leading to an increase
2. You can acquire additional animals, between the last head count and the most current head account, for fattening operations or for increasing your herd size through mating
3. You can be given additional animals (even though, chances of this is remote in a commercial operation, it cannot be ruled out)

In summary, I support the criticism of the current administration, and any other one at that, but the criticism should be intelligent.

Secondly, must our reasoning be clouded by bias almost all d time...PMB defeated GEJ,so be it and pro-GEJ members should stop crying over a spilled milk and blaming pple for their decision.(GEJ should have performed well to win pple ova)
Thirdly, pple re sayin d wife uses a 10million naira wrist-watch,in God's name how possible is dat...and if in ur own eyes it is possible, has she or the husband be convicted of any corruption scandal?,so not until she or her husband is convicted(not accused) of corruption,u can say anything
God bless you for this piece. The more people attack this PMB without basis the more the man becomes popular. Even PDP party stalwarts didn't accuse the man of being corrupt in the heat of the last presidential campaign; trust me, if PDP had any evidence suggestive of corruption against PMB they would have unleashed it on him.

Corruption exist in the blood of an average Nigerian. Taking advantage of others.

What do you call this huh

You buy goods @ 50 Naira, you keep same to sell at 500 Naira to make how many percent profithuh You even create artificial scarcity to the detriment of the people.

That is corruption.

This administration needs only to draw a line, otherwise, we are going nowhere.
Very sensible comment. Firefire, u nailed this particular one. You will be shocked that even the suffering masses are so set in their ways that they would wish away this anti corruption fight if they could! But the war on corruption is a must, if Nigeria must move forward. Lecturers exploit their students, Policemen extort money from the people who pay their salaries, market women and men create undue artificial scarcity to the detriment of their fellow masses. I can go on and on, it is pathetic!

If they want an Office of the first lady they should create it instead of telling us _bullshit about the source of funds for her "VOLUNTARY" activities.
Matter of fact, the wife of the President can leverage her position to attract funding from multilateral and other donor agencies such as UNIDO, UN Women, Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation to finance her pet projects; especially when the projects focus on women and youths. We just need to continually think out of the box!

I recall the other time when Nigerian masses donated their hard earned money to resuscitate the supposedly burnt AIT/Raypower entity. The workers should head to the court on this issue, it is unfair.

Don't mind them. Odi people would never pray for their enemy to see the wrath of a sitting Nigerian President. Who is Tompolo when we are talking about the C-in-C. I pray for peace in the Niger Delta because if some people incite violence there, the innocent would be the worst hit

I consider it idiotic for the PDP people not to have approached the court if they have verifiable evidence that PMB forged his WAEC result to become the President. Until the PDP does that I will keep seeing them as an enemy of Nigeria and Nigerians. You cannot have information on a crime as grievous as forgery by a political leader and not proceed to the court.

PoliticsRe: Buhari's Planned Probe Of Only Jonathan Administration And The "Far Past" by teepain:
Infact it is a shame that some of the supporters of GEJ would come out publicly and argue as they are doing. The thrust of their argument can be summarized as follow

1. Buhari should not probe Jonathan unless he probes those before Jonathan.

What was Jonathan doing as the President of the Country. There is something called dereliction of duty, if as his supporters now claim "he ought to have done it but didn't do it". He swore to defend and uphold the constitution of the country. I personally would have thought that he upheld his oath of office but if his supporters who know him better now claim that he did not (by not investigating and prosecuting the people who stole Nigeria's commonwealth before him) then there is a serious problem.

Why was he funding EFCC, ICPC and Special Fraud Unit? I see know reason why he couldn't disband those agencies if he felt he didn't need their services.

2. Buhari should deal with Babangida, Tinubu, Obasanjo, Gowon and et al.

I want to believe that you guys have the corruption dossiers of the gentlemen mentioned above! If you do, I wonder why you didn't pressure GEJ for his necessary action in the collective interest of Nigerians. That you didn't, actually made you all accessories to the crimes after the fact, if those crimes were actually committed. That is quite unpatriotic of you guys.

It is not too late for you guys to compile same and forward it to EFCC and other relevant agencies and kindly keep us posted while at it. The suffering masses of Nigeria will be grateful to you all.

God bless Nigeria.
PoliticsRe: Buhari's Planned Probe Of Only Jonathan Administration And The "Far Past" by teepain: 5:32pm On Jul 23, 2015
Unfortunately the judgement of God is the total judgement as human judgement can never be total. However, it is not a good Defence to claim that you should not be punished for crimes you committed because some other people who committed the crime before you are yet to be punished.

If that were the case, James Ibori and Henry Okah should not be in prison right now while Alamesigha enjoyed presidential pardon in spite of the shame to which he put Nigerians. On the case of these gentlemen you people didn't understand selective justice then but now you do.

Nigeria is a sad case! And to think that the people shouting selective justice here are some of the worst hit by the criminal tendencies of our leaders further underscore the dire situation we find ourselves in.

If Buhari punishes selectively let someone else coming after him come and punish selectively as long as those punished are guilty of their crimes.
PoliticsRe: Buhari's Article: Buhari Was Right On Obama's Cabinet by teepain: 11:40am On Jul 22, 2015
A word of advice to Barcanista and friends:

1. It is very important to have a virile opposition in any democracy however being in opposition doesn't mean peddling falsehoods and half-truths especially when this is not a campaign period.

2. Note that not everybody here is APC or PDP. There are lots of people here who are independent and would align themselves at anytime with either of the party based on their perception of who will represent their interests better at any point in time. You may want to recall that lots of us voted for Jonathan in 2011 but didn't in 2015

3. You and your friends may want to examine the very reasons why Jonathan lost the last election. I will try and suggest some possible leads:

(A) there was a general perception, among the populace, that GEJ's government promoted corruption. This was fueled by the actions and inactions of his appointees and the opposition then cashed in on that perception. The lesson here is to always ride on popular sentiment. Right now you are not riding on any sentiment and you will do more damage to the interest that you represent.

(B) in the last election the several falsehoods peddled against Buhari actually swung some votes in his favor. FFK, Fayose, Former First Lady and co didn't help his matters at all. Pray how do you expect people you termed 'born trowey' to vote for your hubby.

It would appear that PDP and its followers haven't seen the folly in their last political strategy. I think they need to change that strategy and try to ride on the perceptions of the populace.

You can make your deductions from this piece, but it would not serve you well to be seen as someone who wishes the country failure by wishing its president failure. Note that you can resort to these antics in a campaign period but for crying out loud elections are over! God bless Nigeria!

chukwudi44:
If at all D3 wanted to start his witchhunt I expected him to be smart about it!! What is the business of the DSS with the investigation of financial malfeansance? What then is the role of the EFCC? They accounts can indeed be frozen but a prima facie case of fraud must be established against him(which they have failed to so far do) before any court can grant the order freezing his accounts!!

Buhari and his advisers are indeed bunch of fools as the way the are going about this man's case smacks of real desperation!!! They should have taken their time and quietly investigated this man before moving against him.
There is a problem with the average Nigerian. I believe it is well within the rights of the DSS to investigate any malfeasance within their scope of operations. This is a mere investigation and I believe that Dasuki is presumed innocent until proven otherwise. However, we shouldn't do anything that can impede investigation. If he is found guilty at the end of the day so be it and if he turns out to be innocent Nigeria will be the better for it.
