Just like they said they went to the court to claim a fictitious mandate but ended up with cheap blackmail for tribunal, nothing will change here.

We all know it is illegal to leak private telephone conversations. His lawyers will sue the media platform for leaking a private telephone conversation. Doesn't in anyway mean that he isn't responsible.

But I don't blame Obi Sha. I blame his supporters who cancelled Kenneth Okonkwo and bullied him to tell a lie. Even Obi himself would have been cancelled if he didn't lie.

Before you start insulting this man, as Nigeria politics is involved, if the 25 percent makes sense, don't you think a candidate that knows he can't win a presidential election will just concentrate all his energy on Abuja election in other to win massively and be a spoiler for the leading candidate not to get 25 percent there so that the election will be cancelled? Many people or young guys and some lawyers are just misinterpreting the Abuja requirements out of sentiments. This case is just no case .
Apart from the uproar it can lead the country to and the cost of running another elections which Nigerian government won't want to risk, this case has been settled during obj regime. No question about it.

The defence lawyers will make reference to it and the case will most likely thrown out. That's how Nigerian court of law works if you don't know. It's only a fresh files that has never been treated as such gets lots of debates.

Lawyers know this, but they are just trying to make money for their pockets. Even tinubu drug case will likely be thrown out. It has been treated before, apart from jurisdiction and timeline of the events.
Just look how dapo abiodun own was thrown out, despite being convicted. Many people don't even know how their country works.

Personnel of the 9 Brigade of the Nigerian Army, yesterday, recovered 1,671 Permanent Voters Cards, PVCs, in an apartment in the Olodi-Apapa area of Lagos State.

Three persons were subsequently arrested in the apartment, while the prime suspect was said to be on the run.

Also recovered in the apartment were ballot papers, cutlasses and Indian hemp.

Vanguard gathered that the startling discovery was made in the course of a preliminary investigation into an incident that occurred in the area, yesterday.

The Brigade Commander, Brig. Gen. Isang Akpaumontia, who paraded the suspects and recovered PVCs, ballot papers and other items before journalists at the Ikeja Cantonment, said the arrest and recovery were made following a tip-off.

Most of the recovered PVCs had the year 2022 as the registration number, while others had years 2011, 2012 and 2021 with all the owners being residents of Lagos State.

Briefing journalists Akpaumontia said: “Earlier today (yesterday), three young men were arrested with 1,671 PVCs. This was after early information was received. With the support of the Department of State Services, DSS, we were able to arrest them.

“They were arrested with some drugs, dagger, charms and over 1,000 PVCs. They were arrested at the Apapa general area, in a house where we traced them to. The owner of the house, who is the prime suspect, was traced to a hotel. But he took off.

“We are going to hand these suspects and exhibits over to our immediate headquarters to do the needful because things have to be done the way they should, so as to discourage others who think they can take laws into their hands and go scot-free.”

I’m glad common sense prevailed at the end of the day. The judiciary must continue to defend our democracy from parasites and anti-democratic forces who want to grab power at all cost even after losing the election.

The request from Peter Obi’s camp was a senseless one knowing fully well the governorship and house of assembly elections cannot hold without reconfiguring BVAS. and the ballot papers shall not be counted except otherwise allowed
by the returning officer who may overrule the presiding officer.
(2) If an objection to the decision of a presiding officer to reject a ballot
paper is raised by a candidate or a polling agent at the time the decision
is made, the presiding officer shall add to the word “rejected”, the
phrase “but objected to”.
(3) The presiding officer shall prepare a statement on rejected ballot
papers, stating the number rejected, the reason for rejection and their
serial number, and he or she shall on request, allow a candidate or a
polling agent to copy the statement.
(4) A collation officer or returning officer at an election shall collate and
announce the result of an election, subject to his or her verification
and confirmation that the—
[b](a) number of accredited voters stated on the collated result are
correct and consistent with the number of accredited voters
recorded and transmitted directly from polling units under section
47 (2) of this Act; and
(b) the votes stated on the collated result are correct and consistent
with the votes or results recorded and transmitted directly from
polling units under section 60 (4) of this Act.
(5) Subject to subsection (1), a collation officer or returning officer shall
use the number of accredited voters recorded and transmitted directly
from polling units under section 47 (2) of this Act and the votes or results
recorded and transmitted directly from polling units under section 60
(4) of this Act to collate and announce the result of an election if a
collated result at his or a lower level of collation is not correct.
(6) Where during collation of results, there is a dispute regarding a collated
result or the result of an election from any polling unit, the collation
officer or returning officer shall use the following to determine the
correctness of the disputed result—
(a) the original of the disputed collated result for each polling unit
where the election is disputed;
(b) the smart card reader or other technology device used for
accreditation of voters in each polling unit where the election is
disputed for the purpose of obtaining accreditation data directly
from the smart card reader or technology device;
(c) data of accreditation recorded and transmitted directly from each
polling unit where the election is disputed as prescribed under
section 47 (2) of this Act; and

THE PLACE OF NORTHERN CHRISTIANS IN NATIONAL & NORTHERN POLITICS IN THE POST-2023 ERA !

Speaking in general terms, the politics of 2023 elections has shown how Northern Christians negatively over exposed themselves to be more bigoted than Muslims in the North, and more bigoted than Christians from the South.

Northern Christians have shown themselves to be a people whom the larger Muslim population in the North would never trust with to act as their representative or with political power, even on a sub regional level.

No national politician worth his salt such as Tinubu will ever trust them or their leadership again.

They will continue to be used as canon fodders during national elections in an effort to swing symbolic votes that would always end up not determining victory such as in Kaduna State in 2019 & 2023, and against Buhari in the North during the 2015 & 2019 presidential polls.

They would continue to be led like sheep to slaughter and used to fester ethnic and religious conflicts in the North by their cash and carry bigoted politicians, clerics and elders.

Regardless of Tinubu's win or not (God forbid), the Yoruba establishment and the SW press that have provided media cover, attracted underserved public sympathy to their side in their violent, atrocious and bloody campaign of violence against Hausas and Fulanis in minority Christian majority areas would now have no choice but have a rethink, and withdraw the propaganda and disinformation campaign they waged against the Hausa and Fulani people in favour of Northern Christians, especially seeing how the Hausa and Fulani+ Kanuri people teamed up to emerge as the backbone of the Tinubu candidacy from his victory at the primaries to general elections.

Even the people of SS such as Wike would see through their serial betrayal as personified by Gov. Ortom's last minute turn-coatism to back away from the stand of the G5 to support the stand of his Christian brethren in the North and throw his weight in support of Peter Obi !

The Northern Christians are the new political Igbos to emerge out of the 2023 elections, especially with the way and manner they allowed their hatred for Northern Muslims and Islam to expose their inner-most and core hatred for anything Islam and the North.

The elders, clergy and supporters from the fold of the pentecostal pastopreneurs helped the Northern Christians in this campaign as they all went gaga and reckless with pronouncements from the pulpits: that they are out to show Muslims that they are greater in numbers and so must determine who must rule over Nigeria, that a Christian must emerge as President.

One mad Igbo pastor based in Abuja in a congregation filled with his Igbo and Northern Christian brethren openly declared war against Northerners and Muslims in general.

He went as far as to wield an AK-47 in the full glare of the public, and in a church used the illegal firearm to preach from the pulpit and called for a war against his imaginary Muslim enemies during and after the 2023 polls !

The North East would in future never forget how Northern Christians turned their back on their two sons, one contesting as President and the other as a VP candidate after allowing dozens of minority Northern Christians to represent the zone and the North in national positions...

The NE would never allow a Northern Christian such as Dogara or Babacir etc to represent their zone in any national position again.

The NW would say we know them and have said a lot about their bigotry in the past but nobody believed us until now !

Like the Igbos of the SE, Northern Christians would emerge as the new crybabies and inheritors of the victimhood tag from the Igbos post 2023.

They placed all their political eggs in one basket ...

Marginalisation awaits them at the gates and in place of the easy patronage they enjoyed in the past, both from the north and nationally too.

As they always say in the North: "Fear who no dey fear Northern Christian" !
