About fifteen years ago, I retrieved some items I had previously purchased for a lady. This was someone to whom I had shown clear signs of romantic interest, but she maintained that our relationship was strictly platonic.

One day, I met her in front of a supermarket where I had gone to shop. I decided to seize the opportunity to express my feelings to her once again. Without saying much, she followed me inside the supermarket and mentioned that she also needed to pick up a few things. I agreed and allowed her to pick what she wanted.

She selected several items worth a considerable amount, which I reluctantly paid for. When we came out, I asked her to get into my car so that we could go to my place. She agreed and entered, but after offering a brief apology, she told me she would not be able to go with me because her boyfriend was waiting for her.

Immediately, I asked her to return the items I had bought. She tried to persuade me to let her keep them, promising to visit me the next day. I told her she could have them when she come, as I had no need for them at the moment. Noticing my firm expression, she eventually dropped the items and left.

About two weeks later, my younger sister visited and took the items.

Roughly a year and a half afterward, I saw the same lady again, this time carrying a young baby on her back. She appeared very unkempt. She approached me and asked for ₦500 to pay her transport fare to her place of residence. I had also learned that her father had passed away about six months earlier.

Seeing her in that condition touched my heart deeply because I had truly loved her. Out of compassion, I gave her ₦2,000 and dropped her off at a place where she could get a taxi to her destination.

This one is still better than those ones who are in DM greeting good morning afternoon, evening and goodnight everyday without saying any reasonable thing

The Bad Things Experienced Working At Nigerian Correctional Service

Having worked at the Nigerian Correctional Service for sever years, I have noticed a lot of evil happening there which need the attention of the whole Nigeria and the presidency.

I will briefly highlight some of them here. Pls, if you have also experienced anything similar, kindly drop your comments.

Some of the bad things happening at the Nigerian Correctional Service include:

1. Poor working condition

2. Non implementation of harmonization of salary and rank with the Nigerian Police

3. Staff buying their official uniforms

4. Non payment of promotion arrears and other allowances

5. Irregularities in staff promotions

6. Non consideration of staff welfare

7. Under payment of promotion arrears, even when they decide to pay

8 A police inspector earns more than someone who is on the same rank with an assistant controller of corrections

They are not bothered because they are enjoying free bleeping up and down.
I haven't heard them complain any day
