I'm really hoping and praying it comes this week so we can start preparing. Time is going. dirotula: My wife actually completed her medicals on the 13th of July at IOM (though she had the initial test on the 8th...but was recalled to give another urine sample due to obvious women monthly issue)...we've not heard anything from CIC yet...hoping the good news will come in this week.
The Vfs tracking is still showing...application being processed in Accra. |

Lol, how many people were offered admission for that course. Mind you some courses have less than 20 capacity. Also, how many Nigerians, how many international students were offered admission for that program, how many countries process application for 8 weeks? How many people in other countries feel the need to apply for fall entry in June? loladeoye: Infact only 1 person has gotten TRV in my dept for fall according to the info when i called the Uni and they are not happy about that. Paying lecturers with no student is just .... |
Travel › Re: Travelling To Canada Part 8 by TheBae: 10:37pm On Jul 17, 2015 |
Lol you talk like everyone who applies gets denied. Or like international students are only from Nigeria. Of course it's not a charity Organization but the best they can do is provide you with all necessary documents. The amount it costs you get TRV is not their problem. If CIC says "No", please what can the school do? Nothing. So it might be their loss by -1 student from Nigeria but even if they cared, their role is limited. Well, I guess people can start rumours but if it's a rumour then it's a pretty reasonable one. justwise: Schools definitely care because foreign students is their cash machine, how will they survive if they have empty classes, empty student accommodations but still have to pay lecturers who would have lectured those students? Do you think they are running charity organisation?
Of course people make up these rumours sometimes and when it turns out to be false you don't see them logging on here frequently. |

I'm not sure the university cares about how much you spend on trv, they've given you admission. I'm not sure they care about how much time you waste trying to get visa, afterall in other countries, visa processing doesn't take so long. A country that's so developed should/will have quotas for every/anything especially when it comes to immigrants. Remember as a student, you're going as a TR, meaning that makes you a resident. It makes sense that Canada may have a quota for Temporary Residents just as they have one for Permanent Residents. Also, he didn't say everyone else will be denied, he only said it'll be way stricter which we can already see playing out. Even if they didn't have a quota before, with the way we Nigerians and even Asians are bombarding them with applications, they may have just developed one just to control the heavy influx. We're all just speculating, and someone who has a contact there has partially verified this argument so I think that is valid until we hear something else from a higher authority. I don't think anyone would make up such info. I stand to be corrected. justwise: If there is a quota it will come from the schools limiting the number of foreign students to be admitted in a year and they will not issue admission when the number is reached. It makes no sense that the school will give admission to a prospective student knowing fully well that the student chances of getting a visa is almost nonexistent. Not only that...the student will waste time and money applying for TRV that he or she is unlikely to get. |

Can we hear from the horse's mouth? Their responses can either prove the theory right or wrong as the reason for their denial standupguy: If quota really exist of course Ontario would have the highest number of applicants. |
Travel › Re: Travelling To Canada Part 8 by TheBae: 9:30pm On Jul 17, 2015 |
Please if you were refused after medicals can you let us know what province you applied to? I believe there's a quota for each province, it shouldn't be strange to anybody. |

I think the delay is an error. 7 reasons? Lool it must be an error. He/she should complain to CIC Crich: He said the UCI numbers are same. Also, that there were 7reasons for the denial (personal assets, travel history, has not satisfied them that he will leave..., current employment status, etc) |

Wow, so sorry about the stress you went through . Thank God for making it happen eventually. I can't imagine being in that situation. chubbybarbie: Tnks atleast one person remembered me on this thread, it's bin a very difficult journey and the devil tried a lot on my case buh he failed woefully. After I received my medical request and updated it on this thread,I then proceeded to Lagos for medical request. On my way to the clinic my passport got lost in transit. I almost ran mad.i was stranded in lag for three days going from one motor park to the other At the end of the day,had to inform cic of my predicament and had to travel to Abuja for a replacement oooo.did my medical for 48000 instead of 28000 in Lagos cos they don't require original passport at Abuja clinic oo. Fast forward to today I am proud to say I have my trv.God is good. To many of us hoping to get trv pls do not relent until u achieve your dreams cos God told me he hasn't finished even wen Others told me to defer the admission cos I dnt have time again. Mind u my school resumes dis same July.see u all in canada Inshallah . |

Actually it's almost 9 weeks since you submitted 20th of May. And since you submitted via paper route I think there's something wrong. You should email them. You should never book a ticket or make hotel reservations when you do not already have your TRV or at least medical mail. I don't know what you're asking because there's really nothing you can do other than wait for medical mail or TRV if you did upfront medicals. Success Jaydee1985: Advice needed . My travel date I booked has passed same with hotel reservation in Ontario . What are my chances of still getting it right sense my application is still processed at the canada visa centre . Pls ur contribution will be appreciated . Less I forget it's 7weeks already sense i submited application . |
