Foreign AffairsRe: Why Did Adolph Hitler Hate Jews So Much? by Theblessed(f): 4:15pm On May 20, 2009
Because, he was an EVIL PIECE OF WORK, DERANGED and a NUT HEAD, period.

People like him who are into ethnic cleansing are still finding that despite their evil and atrocious acts, they can not completely terminate/irradicate a RACE.  People migrate to other parts of the world, tell me then, how evil people like Hitler could terminate them all, huhhuh

Obviously, Germany supported his evil ideas otherwise, why did they allow a non-German to dictate what went on in Germany and most part of Europe at that time (1940's).

Also, it is a well known fact that Austrians are deviants.

Imagine last summer, an Austrian father imprisoned his own daughter (blood and flesh) in a bunker for over 20 years and made her pregnant seven times - SICK, SICK AND SICK people!!!!!!!!!!!

And for all you evil piece of work out there, your sins would definitely catch up with you as it did with Hitler and this Austrian father.  YOU CAN RUN BUT YOU CAN'T HIDE!
RomancePromiscuity: Are Nigerian Women As Promiscuous As Their Men? by Theblessed(op): 12:48pm On May 20, 2009
I came across the above when I was researching on leisure/holiday destinations in Africa some time ago.  One of the sites described Nigerian men as very promiscuous and that our women are equally as promiscuous as our men in terms of having/engaging with different sexual partners at the same time as their principle LOVER.  To be honest, it did baffle me but in this day in age, how sure are you about your own woman/man?

Being a former British Colony

Nigeria tends to model herself on British ways of doing things and sometimes tries to incorporate American ways which can confuse alot of things in our society.  Afterall, America was once a British colony - Just like us, Britain gave them independence.  So, in terms of education, there ain't many Polytechnics in Britain right now as majority have now taken up University status.  However, British employers still recognises qualifications from former Polytechnics without discriminating between the two since it takes only 6 months or 2 essay submissions to get your degree after your Polytechnic course.  So, there ain't much difference academically.  The difference can only be located in the ability to do the job i.e the skills.  It is at this point that, the  University and Polytechnic graduates would then show us what they are made of.  I can assure you, most of the times the Polytechnics beat the Uni graduates hands down and scope the HONEY!!!!  Trust me!  So, unlike Nigeria, Britain and America now, look for both academic abilities and technical skills.  Also, they don't discriminate against your field of study in terms of employment.  If you'd studied Medicine and decides to be a t.v presenter, that's fine - you'd get a job.  If you'd studied Chemisty and wants to work in finance, you'd definitely be employed in finance e.g. Investment Banking and it does not matter what your discipline or specialty is.  What matters in this two countries are, that you had a higher education experience i.e. POLYTECHNIC OR UNIVERSITY education. As for Britain, you'd work your butts off to get British qualifications and once you get them, they are like INTERNATIONAL PASSPORT TO JOBS ALL OVER THE WORLD - in short, with them you'd get a job any where in the WORLD because you are British educated and you know what that means - HARD WORK!!.  Employers all over the world loves hard working emplyees, dont theyhuhhuhhuhhuh??  Therefore, Nigerian educators have to validate seriously Polytechnic qualifications as to clear these doubts and confusions over the qualificatiuons else, close down all Polytechnic colleges since Nigerian employers are not hiring POLYTECHNIC educated graduates.

Building her house now would yield her quick cash as she rents out immediately saving her the gruelling hours at work, slaving her life away than waiting for her SHARES to grow before helping Moma - I mean waiting for the SHARES MARKET TO PICK UP PROBABLY IN 2020 BEFORE SHE COULD SEE A DIME, if she's lucky and the market hadn't wiped it all off by then - naaaaaaaaaaaa! CrimeRe: Death Penalty For 419 Scum by Theblessed(f): 3:33pm On May 19, 2009
Naaaaaaaaaaaaah, that's not the solution!!!

Now tell me how could death penalty be the solution for every thing?  Nigeria has been administering this wicked and cruel punishment on criminals since the 1970's yet, nothing has changed in fact, we have more crimes now than ever.  The problem is not the crime itself rather the government's inability to create work for her citizens - that's the problem.  You can not stop crime by firing squard when you had nothing in place that can engage people in providing for themselves.
GIVE THEM THE NET TO CATCH THEIR OWN FISH AND THUS, SEE CRIME DROPS.

We have shot, shot and shot armed robbers yet, criminals are still taking risks.  We have shot drug pushers thinking that is the solution yet, drugs are rampant all over the world now, than ever.  Now you are talking about shoting 419ers as if that would make people change - no it won't.  When someone has nothing going for him/her he would do anything to survive.

So, I suggest you recognise the disease first, diagnose it and cure it that way you decrease crimes.

BusinessRe: Ghanaians Fear Nigerian Domination Of Economy –minister by Theblessed(f): 11:57pm On May 18, 2009
Well, in terms of international trade, I think 'fair is fair'.  Nigeria has to reciprocate fairly to her trading partners.  Afterall, we have greater advantage and more to gain than them.  They want to access our market because of our vast population and this is good for the Nigerian consumer as competition would bring prices down - let in the neighbouring markets and save our people from suffering this never ending inflated and hiked up prices of goods in Ngerian that are well beyond the reach of vast majority of poor Nigerians.  Please, open the door and let the markets compete at least Nigerian consumers would for the first time in their lives not only get durable and quality goods but also value for money as prices comes crumbling down.  Thus, unscrupulous suppliers/traders would then tidy up their acts - if their goods are not of quality, consumers would vote with their feet and put them out of business for good.  Europe enjoys this, why shouldn't Africans?  For the suppliers and traders, its up to them to  smarten up or be put out of business and that's good for the consumer.  We enjoy quality goods in Europe and, I want the same for our people too.

As for our National security, I don't even know how sophisticated our army is now.  Whether they are still sharing one gun between 3 soldiers or what?  And our Navy, how many canoes they've got not to talk of Aircraft Carriers.lol!!! What about our Airforce? How many fighter Jets are there?  1 or 2huh  That would do and we can start the world war 3 with that.  How about our police?  I bet they are still in that Colonial uniform: the brown Khaki short/shirt and that round colonial helmet and with bartons in their hands? That would also do, too.  Now, we can show down on any neighbouring country that challenges us and we will win.  At least, everyone knows our national security in the 21st Century, is non-existent compared to countries similar to ours.  If challenged now, we are all doomed.  Shame!!!
BusinessRe: Ghanaians Fear Nigerian Domination Of Economy –minister by Theblessed(f): 6:54pm On May 18, 2009
You are absolutely, right!!!!!!

Because, Ghanians have been very insecure and jealous of Nigeria for a very long time. The only reason we are still friends is because we are cousins - Northern Ghana and Northern Nigeria speaks HAUSA - that's the only reason else, we would have sorted it out.

I was in a Ghanian shop two weeks ago plaiting my hair and one of the hair plaiters commented 'Well, Ghana has now got oil like Nigeria and there is nothing Nigerians can say to us now,'  I said, so you are jealous of Nigeria? Again, I said yes, you have been blessed like us but your people should be careful because this oil can be a blessing and a curse at the same time else you could end up like us, with corrupt politians screwing up the country.

Well, I'd leave Nigerians to make up their own minds about Ghana's attitude towards us.

To that I should add, if Ghana feels this way, I wonder other African countries.  Everyone knows they don't like us but we don't care one bit.  Afterall, what many of them know today we Nigerians taught them e.g. they emulate our music, films, food, dressing and attitudes etc and who cares what they think. To Nigerians, the sky is the limit. Yes, Nigerians are proud and ambitious people and every Nigerian child is raised to look up instead of down.  What's wrong with thathuh?  We don't look down, we look up no matter how wretched we are!  We are high achievers, go-getters and we learn quicker than other African countries if you doubt it, bring them on and you'd see what we are made of - they can't beat us. That's our nature. They will always be jealous of us and, we  should leave them with that - their problems, not ours.

Maybe I'm being thick but sorry I am not just getting it.

If the marriage is hunky dory & with no trust or other negative fundamental issues then why must a woman build independently of the husband? why cant they build their 1001 houses jointly together?
Hi, you see, we don't live in an ideal world, do wehuh

This lady's story is enough to tell anyone that all is not that well at home.  Everyone knows that most marriages have issues yet, people try their best to keep it, but for how longhuh?

Based on her request for advice on here, there's nothing wrong in working in partnership with your husband/wife.  No one is advising her to do that on her husbands back and she obviously, does not intend to hence all her consultations with him. Hey, the man had other excuses for her, whyhuh  Is her achievement not for the two of themhuh  HEY, THIS TRAIN IN ON FULL SPEED AND YOU'RE TRYING TO STOP IThuh  Baby I'm heading off - CATCH ME IF YOU CAN! Its obvious that this man is preventing her from progressing and it does not seem he, himself is an achieving/ambitious type either.  Well to that, I say if you are not, give way and support those who are - for you never know where your blessings might come from.

It seems to me that some people are sympathetic that it would bruise the man's ego - why would it? If the man is insecure well, let him do something about it.  Intelligent men would welcome this idea.  There are many men all over the world married to rich and influencial women and still happy they did.  For example, the Duke of Edinburgh married the Queen, the late Denis Thatcher married Margaret Thatcher - the Iron Lady, remember!! American President, Obama met and married his mentor now, his wife - Michelle. Now, tell me, what's this fuss about this male EGO problems?  You see, when you think you are the first to do something remember, others have been there before you.
Let the young lady go ahead with her plans, her husband could met up with her, when he finally realised what he's got.

FamilyRe: Is It Proper For A Woman To Build Her Own House? by Theblessed(f): 3:31pm On May 18, 2009
WHY NOT!!!!

If you have the means GO AHEAD and do it and do it again if I were you.  Obviously, your husband is a very insecure and controlling man.  By brothers were like that.  Being the first daughter of the family my father gave me a piece of land to build on, and my brothers objected saying that I am a woman and that made me not only mad but more determined to put on a MASSIVE AND BEAUTIFUL HOME in my fathers compound and it's still standing there as I type this.  Afterall, I am still my father's daughter - marriage or not and therefore, entitled to any gift my father gave me and no one, I mean no one should take my BIRTH RIGHT simply because, I am a woman. The brothers who objected to that, now, tell me who lives there as I am living in the West?  My nephews and nieces - their children and it makes me very happy indeed when I return home.  It is a happy home at Christman/Easter I can assure you.
For that reason, I thank God my father is enlightened and still alive.  To my father both his sons and daughters are treated equally, there are 11 of us (6 boys and 5 girls) and no one is superio to the others. Don't let any man restrict or be a hinderance to your progress. Remember, there will always be enemies of progess any where you go and your job is to stop them in their tracks. God has given you the gift - intelligence, talents, skills and blessings, my dear use it and use it QUICK before satan and his disciples put doubts in your mind by telling you it is not normal.  It is absolutely NORMAL because, you are not only achieving this for the so called ignorant husband but also, for your children and the entire family.  If for no one else, do it for your KIDS.  GOOD LUCK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
FamilyRe: Why Do Most Nigerian Men Treat Their Wives Like Maids? by Theblessed(f): 2:40pm On May 18, 2009
NIGERIAN MAN, THE MOST DISRESPECTFUL OF THEM ALL.

Unfortunately, Nigerian men are the most disrespectful of all AFRICAN MEN if not the world when it comes to women.  In short, NIGERIAN MEN have no respect for their women, ask every where in the world and people would tell you so - that's the truth.  Will I marry them?  In my DREAMS, thank you!  I can only do that if there's a change in them but there's no hope for change therefore, forget about that. Thank God there are other men in the world any woman that loves and respect herself could be married to.

Why are Nigerian men so crude and rude in their attitudes towards their women?  Well, it  boils down to our entrenched culture - were women had always been raised to slave for  men.  To take care of every whim of a man's needs - from cooking to bedroom skills, from raising children to equally contributing in all aspects of running the home etc.  As a result, our men are raised to believe that they are GOD GIFT TO WOMEN - hence you hear some say, 'better behave well, else no man would marry you'.  You see, to them marriage is percieved as the highest achievement any woman could attain - Naaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa and, how stupid for any idiot to even contemplate thathuh?  For those of us who know exactly what they want, no man would pull that kind of wool over our eyes - you dare!!!!

For that reason, I thank my parents for the education they gave me, the career I have and, the freedom to do as I please without any man dictating for me how I should live my life.
You see, everyone needs to enjoy their lives without unnecessary hassling afterall, we've only got one shot on this life so make the most of it.  Be happy!!!
If you are married to a difficult man who makes your life unbearable, kick his ar-e and gain your freedom afterall, men need women more than women need them, and they know it, so they are the ones to behave and not us.  Their LOSS, not ours.

On the other hand, in order to improve this situation, Nigerian women should stop attaching greater importance to their male offsprings by raising them to believe they are SUPERIO to their other sibblings especially, their sisters and GOD SENT TO WOMEN generally.. It's high time, we start treating both our boys and girls equally.  For example, raising them equally in terms of performing domestic chores, running errands, baby-sitting the younger ones, cooking, washing and bathing the younger ones as well as teaching them to respect their sisters from a very young age (because this disrespectfulness we are talking about, starts from childhood) etc.   If we could inculcate this in our children from a very young age then, we will not be here trying to fathom how it all went wrong with NIGERIAN MEN being not only abusive but also agressive and sometimes violent to their WOMEN.

My dear, who says it is?

This is partnership we are talking about, complimenting each other.

a) If a man's privates does not function well due to bad health tell me, how would he compulsorily satisfy is wife sexually?  In that case, they have to work it out themselves what they need to do and no one else.

b) Also, it isn't compulsory that he should provide financially, if he is incapable of doing so e.g. assuming he is disabled with neurological conditions, blind, limb amputation etc ? That's why it's important you marry a woman that would compliment you - a capable woman, ok!  It is also important men support equal rights for women because, when situations like this arises, they can fall back on their rights and claim it for their children and not men seeing it as a challenge to their ego/malehood.
FamilyRe: Is It Compulsor For A Woman To Know How To Cook? Would You Marry One Who Doen't? by Theblessed(f): 6:25pm On May 17, 2009
RUBBISH, RUBBISH and more, RUBBISH!!!

Why is cooking this important to men?  Because, they love food, period!!!

The saying goes 'The way to a man's heart is through his stomach'.  But I think this is rubbish - only desperate women searching for a husband/partner would buy this.
Generally, people don't want what they don't need. If you want a husband, you would act  well for it, abihuh  You don't have to if you don't need one therefore, there is not Express road to his heart as far as I'm concerned.  I am a good cook but I hate cooking.  I don't have issues with my husband cooking whilst I peel the onions and wash up after wards afterall we are partners, abihuh In fact, it would even cement our relationship and our children will grow up knowing it's normal to share.  What's my husbands is mine and what's mine is his, abi!  So, your bad advise on here does not wash and wouldn't change a thing.

All I see and read here are all emotional blackmailers - blackmailing women to succumb to their archaic ideas whilst living in the the 21st Century.  Would heaven let loose if the man of the house cook for his family?   Yes, it's good to teach children how to cook but it does not necessarily have to be only their mother doing it.  Assuming their mother suddenly pass away as it can happen sometimes, would he fold his arms and watch his children starve to deathhuh  Or quickly head off for a replacement wife which often happens with some selfish and morally bankrupt men?
Its all too easy to make women feel guilty here whilst men get away with murder.  I am beginning to sense some kind of insecurities among some men here - some are even frightened that Western culture would dent our culture - but hey, it had already done so and what's the heck?  Well, there's nothing you can do about that now because, it's already here and people like the idea sorry, buddy!!!  Women have as much rights as men and they must exercise it if they like and no body should bully them into doing differently.  As for the idea that there are so many single divorced women out there, to that I say, so are many men because a divorced woman had a husband and where is he if not in the same statistics?
If divorce is an issue for men then, men  should change their ways; accept that women have equal rights as them (but, they are not doing so on here when they maintains a woman's office is still in the KITCHEN).  They should LOVE AND RESPECT THEIR WOMEN AS THEMSELVES (you don't love and respect your woman when you are in the pub always, drinking your life away and chasing other women, remember!!) that way women would do their bit for the family - keep it together.
Nairaland GeneralRe: Women, What Is Your Priority? University Degrees Or Ur Dignity As A Woman by Theblessed(f): 4:50pm On May 17, 2009
Well, having read most of the commentaries regarding this aristos (whatever that meant).
For all I know, the world is not a fair place - GOOD GIRLS' DON'T MAKE IT, BAD GIRLS' DO AND THEY USUALLY END UP WITH THE BEST! This is because, men generally like excitements and prepared to spend time and money for it.  Therefore, women who understand this and are prepared to give up their dignity and swim along are sure to catch the fattest worm.  Afterall, if not for curiosity and excitement why are very rich men with beautiful wives at home pay thousands of pounds for a minute shot on fun, huh!!  Would you want to be married to such men?  No, I'd rather be lonely and happy on my own than miserable in a marriage like this. Yes, we all have different values - some women would ignore such behaviour and stay in the marriage as long as money keeps flowing their way however, independent women like myself would flip and kick his URGLY A-S.  I am not 'a die in a marriage at all cost type' as I'm happy to answer my maiden name any time afterall, I am still my father's daughter, marriage or not, abihuh What't the heck if marriage wouldn't work?   Because, a rich man, wouldn't give a tosh and most of them don' care if they have wives at home or not and are prepared to fund these women in a like it or lump it manner.  They say DEMAND triggers SUPPLY and would I blame the single aristos girls for wanting a head in life?  No, I blame the men mainly married ones among them for paying attention to these ladies.  A prostitute is a prostitute.  It does not matter which Armani they decorated themselves with?  They are every man's woman - rich and poor, truck pushers, sh-t packers and all, it does not matter.  To them, what matters are, shine the dosh and, they go, go!
To me, no truely decent guy would touch such women with a badge pole but how many of you guys on here can truely swear decency let alone men with money who could do as they pleases - IT'S ALL ABOUT POWER, people!

Lies, lies and lies again!!!  'Can't cook, won't cook is not the end of the world, is ithuh

'It is not compulsory to know how to cook but it helps if one could.  Lack of culinary skills does not demean a woman or make less of her.  If she could not cook, she must be good at other things in the home, remember that!  Some women may regard themselves as capable in every thing but that's rubbish as we all know - nothing is 100% efficient and for those of us who think they are good in everything, I say you can not be.  And if you call yourself a 'Super woman' hey baby, no such thing as super woman -  prove it if you doubt it? You see, you can not be two places at a time so, you can not do it alone!  You need other peoples' input/support to try to be yet, you will not be.  In fact, you would fail at one thing or the other.  Right, back to the arguement - Compulsory to know how to cook?  In my view, no!  'Can't cook, won't cook', should not be the only criteria to judge a good/decent woman because there are skills some people are good at and some they are not.  For example, women are physically built the same and society expects them to perform or behave in certain ways but do we all??  Not every woman can concieve a baby and deliver naturally abihuh Therefore, the inability to perform such a natural task does not mean that they are less of a womanhuh  No, because they may have more good qualities/attributes of a good mother however, nature decided to deprive them of such gift. So, the inability to cook meals for the family should be over-looked and should not be an issue in considering what makes a good woman or wife, consider her strengths hopefully, that would compliment her weaknesses.   Hey, if she still can't cook, why not you, abi?? You are both partners, huh? Then cook for the family and stop moaning!  Or would your malehood get in the way/disappear if you cook for your family??  Abi, say Adam been dey cook for Eden before Eve appeared?? Well, if you still worry about what your mates would say regarding your woman not able to cook I suggest, you are better off without such shallow friends, ok??  And if you are still concerned why not get a CHEF or better still eat out - either way, the stresses of worrying about her lack of culinary skills would be forgotten.

Some people are here talking how great they've been treating their maids.  Obviousely, the Ogas and Madams are more powerful than the maids by any standards and have greater access to PC's and the internet than the poor maid.  Otherwise, I would have love to invite the maids to get online and give their own side of the story as the views on here in NL seems to be one-sided.  At least, Nairalanders would get balanced views in order to trash out all the LIES.  We all know when someone is powerful, he/she is capable of anything and as for the poor maid, who would listen to her and who cares.  There are two sides to every story.

Again, some said their maids are stealing from them and we would like to know exactly what they stole.  If they stole food stuff, hmmm what does that suggest then?  In fact, its a clear evidence they are being starved in the home - they are not fed properly because there's no way a well fed person (I mean belly full well) would want to eat more - naaaaaaaaaaaaaah!  Because, when belly is full, you don want any more food,  in a full belly, abihuh?  Probably, your feed them hours after your children have had their meals or even feed them twice a day when your own children are having three square meals per day.  Horrible!!!  If you do this kind of thing remember one day, the young shall grow!! TREAT THEM LIKE YOUR OWN AND ONE BIG FAMILY YOU ARE BECAUSE, YOU NEVER KNOW TOMORROW - she could end up marrying the next Nigerian President (don't doubt it!!!!!) and if she ask him to get your head for her, I bet he would, I promise you.
PoliticsRe: Should Nigeria Give A Loan To Sao Tome And Principe? by Theblessed(f): 5:25pm On May 15, 2009
Yes, since our so called Government can not repair our roads (e.g. since the 1960's, Onitsha/Benin Road is still the way the British left it, imagine the site - shame!! What about Accidents/deep boreholes in the middle of that road, don't even mention my dear, shame!! ).  Should we talk about regular supply of electricity and water plus modernizing our schools, colleges and Uni that Nigerian citizens are entitled to?  Do Nigerians have rights in their own country?  News to my ears!  Well, its better they loan it out at least, this generation or the next generations of Nigerians will die happy knowing where their money is rather than allowing the thieving politicians to hide it away in their secret bank accounts all over the world.  To the poster I'm asking which one is better?  Knowing where our money is, and who is holding it, is the right thing to do for now as they will definitely pay us back or our children (because of the International nature of the Contract). However, leaving it for the thieving politicians that have no shame and in a country where no one is ACCOUNTABLE, even the President, please not a good idea as one of them would definitely come up with lame investment ideas/excuses that would see our money miraculously disappear in thin air that, I would not support. Nigerians have suffered enough from the evils of these politicians and we should not make it easy for them, please!

djcrucifix:
of course they cannot be treated in tthe same way as family members but they should at least be shown human kindness in all ramifications.
Excuse me, from the above statement - how do you meanhuh

What's wrong in treating you slaves as family. If it's good enough for you, it's damn good enough for them too.  Afterall, you have a heart and they have hearts too, what's the difference?

Are we not all human beings and should be treated with respect?  Just because she comes from a poor family and you happens to put food on her plate gave you the godamn right to treat him/her as a your second best, is ithuh??  Now, the world can see how bad habits are passed from one generation to the other.  Because, what you are expressing here right now is but the upbringing you had.  This is why people like this still have it in their heads that they are the master any other person is below them and should be treated as second citizen.
Sorry, dear but you don't know tomorrow.

Hmmm! To be a MAID for an African family or a Nigerian one for that matterhuh  Baby, don't even dream it. We Africans, nothing we like best than to be Oga and Madam.  You see, our people were enslaved during the Slave Trade and we all know the impact of that on our selves and society.  Instead of us to learn from the experience and treat our own people the way we would like to be treated (Hmmm, just forget it!!) we are even worse than the colonial masters.  Black man/woman like to be worshipped like gods.  Because your relatives are consider poor and hand you over to the well-to-do uncle, cousin etc to care for you boy, you will know about it and swear never again in your next life.  There are a handful of Nigerian men/women serving long jail terms here in the West as a result of in-humane treatments perpetrated on their maid relatives.  Quite unbelievable what a human being could to another because he/she felt they have the power and therefore, can do what they like.  In fact, human beings are the most wicked thing God ever created.  Because, the Oga and Madam put that food on the plate (which your parent could not afford for you), new clothes on your body, shoes on your feet - wait for it!  For that reason I'm afraid, your name is SLAVE!!!!
You will suffer!  Some of these so call Oba of these families that mal-treat other peoples children just because to they are helping their maids families back home could vouch how well they treat these innocent young girls but I say to them - YOU ARE ALL LIERS!!!!!!!!!!!
You never treat these kids exactly the same way as your own children, period.  And if you say you do, I challenge you all, to get these maids of yours online or on the phone to speak with the Nairaland moderators about their experiences in your household without your presence in the room or any where near the vicinity this interaction is taking place - then you will see how cruel you so called OGAs' and your wives the MADAMS' from 'HELL' really are.  IT'S LIKE HAVING A WICKED STEP MOTHER in fact, a wicked step mum is even better - at least you could teach her a lesson or two and your family will always be on your side.  However, with your Oga-madam sorry, you won't have legs to stand. Should I talk about the physical, verbal and emotional abuses these kids suffer - the beatings, the name calling, the humiliation please, forget it. I have been one of these SLAVE girls myself.  I served my own blood aunt - my mother's sister (the same mother and father as my mum) and swear never in my life would I watch a kid in my blood line serve any body and no one serves anybody in my family - both my maternal and paternal sides). I HATE this idea of boy, boy thing.  I loathe anybody wanting others to serve them.  As far as I'm concerned, people should eat their own food, wash their own plates, dry them and put them away, wash their own clothes, make their own beds, tidy up their own homes, run their own errands, care for their own children because they brought them into the world etc that way, they will learn to respect other peoples' children WHEN CONSIDERING A MAID.  To that I must add, 'treat people (Big or Small)the way you would like to be treated' and that's the MORAL CODE.  Africans are worse in these things as there are no laws to protect these maids and even if there are laws in place, who would enforce themhuh??  The Western world got it right - you want a slave?  Well, you can have one and it's called HOME HELP.  But, you 'd pay for it on hourly basis accordinging to current market rates. I think the current rate now is about £6.00 - £10.00 per hour if not more and depends on how many hours you want the servant to work for you usually those with money tends to go for 1-5 hours each day.  And for people like you and I who wants a maid, can we afford it?? By the time you check your salary, and your home expenses, you would have known that you are not cutting your coat according to your size and, shoes does really have sizes you know grin grin grin. As for, Mr Oga and Madam, I say, if a family you know is having difficulty raising their kids due to poverty instead of exploiting their vulnerability by taking one two of their children into slavery called MAID, why not give them a NET TO CATCH THEIR OWN FISH - that way you would have made the biggest difference in their lives and God will reward and bless you more wink wink.  Think about it!!!!

MRbrownJAY:
please EDUCATE ME on the matter, how do you do when you are in a"civilized" place where there is just a toilet?! do you go directly in the shower after the deed?!
YOU CANT POSSIBLY USE THE WATER INSIDE THE BOWL BECAUSE ITS NOW MIXED WITH SHIT!!!
Hi Brownjay, you're really having a go, aren't?  But what you are saying is true, though.  When such people are in a civilised environment how do they manage their call of nature I would like to know when most gents/ladies are stock up with toilet tissues and nothing for that kind of lifestyle.  I hear some of them say go home and get a wash - why wash when you can bath or shower if you have one and if you don't what's wrong with giving yourself a good scrub with a bucket of water?  Still all the hallmarks of dirty/lazy people, you know.  I can't imagine myself as friends of people with such lifestyle - no, way.
HealthRe: How Healthy Is Tissue Paper? by Theblessed(f): 5:38pm On May 13, 2009
Hmmmm!!!!  It seems people have lost sight of the region in question here.  We are not talking about the Western world where one has water system and regular supply of water and light, ok.
We are talking about a 3rd would country that finds it difficult to feed itself and most people are still carrying buckets, and jerri-cans of water on their heads for miles and talk of the great hygiene awareness. Wow, news to my ears!!!!  You guys make me laugh. And some are talking about covering the toilet before flushing as a remedy to keep the microbes in. NO!  In addition, there are several chemicals/disinfectants and gloves used for that purpose on daily basis for protection, so covering the toilet before flushing does little for your protection.  If this is the nature of things in the West, where upon they use these chemical freely to keep their home clean, I wonder how many Nigerians can afford to boost their hygiene standards when most can not afford a single toilet roll.  Now I can see why small kettles/jugs prices have been expensive in Nigeria. You see, it's only for economic reasons that these people are campaigning for this kettle, jug and finger business.lol!!!!!!!!!!!  Now, I know why?  Yet, its still primitive and unhygienic, ok! If I happens to find myself near your home by sudden and felt thirsty, wouldn't ask for a glass of water from you as I would not know where its coming from, otio!!!!!!
HealthRe: How Healthy Is Tissue Paper? by Theblessed(f): 5:02pm On May 13, 2009
Every Nigerian knows those who use small water kettle and jugs for their hygiene needs are dirty people and do not bath/shower at all, even at the height of that tropical heat in Nigeria.  These people probably bath once a week and sometimes months.  And why would I have to JUG and RAKE myself with my fingers each time nature calls when I could take a full bath once or twice a day at the height of that heat.  Boy, imagine me with my small kettle and jug squating and RAKING down below, wow!!!shocked shocked shocked  I wonder who the next victim of this enforced primitive lifestyle would be. ONLY LAZY PEOPLE WOULD take that easy option and boy, did I hear them talk about stenchhuh  I challenge them right now to show the person sitting/standing next to them their finger nails then, I'd show them how ignorant they really are (I bet some of them are now now heading off to give their hands a good wash, aren't theyhuh).  Pleeeeeeaaaaaase, don't ever use those small kettles/jugs and your good old rakes - known as your fingers, again for that purpose, go it!
