One of the reason for Singapore economic development is that it is situated in a best location for international trade passage making it one of the crowded port. In essence, Singapore is situated in a place that is "good for business"

Lagos has since more than 150 years been the special city in Nigeria. Everything that will make it a bigger city have gradually since about that time been provided.
It was first, a city of administration for the Portuguese, then it became the centre of administration for the English. Portuguese and english people (also wealthy blacks that returned from these European countries), started building edifices and facilities in lagos.
It has for hundreds of years been the main port for the importation and exportation of goods and services.
Then also, the federal government made the lagos island the capital of the federation and started huge infrastructural development that befits a capital. Lagos got many of its overhead bridges tens of years before any other city in Nigeria.
Most of the international embassies and headquarters of large companies came to be situated in lagos. Lagos became the MECCA city of west Africa.
Its these factors that I said made lagos my nature and chance well placed than other states.
So you see, lagos and its prestige and wealth precede Tinubu by 100s of years. Every administrator played their parts. Governor Otedola in his short time contributed to infrastructural development in lagos. He extended roads constructions to the far extremities of lagos.
Tinubu came and played his part. He to his credit saw all this wealth and introduced an efficient system of taxation and increased the revenues accruing to the state government several folds. The succeeding government after him have (compared to him), pursued infrastructural development more with this huge wealth.
My point again retard, is that no state has this history, opportunity, potential and wealth to dip into to engage in infrastructural and human development on the scale close to lagos. And I also mentioned the other governors the 'visionary leader's Tinubu helped put in government in other south western states that lack these factors lagos enjoys, I asked for people to see if they have been able to do anything significantly different from the other governors and state with potentials comparable to them? If these same governors that Tinubu mentored and helped to power in other states had become governors in lagos, we would have thought that they are exceptional too.
If say Tinubu himself had become governor of Osun state that is his state of origin in 1999, he wouldn't have turned Osun State to what lagos state is now. In fact, Tinubu wouldn't have been what he has become now. It was because of the vast wealth lagos has, which isn't of his making, that he was able to really go to war as it were with the federal government.

It is the best state obviously. It doesn't depend on how much it receives, it is really how much it generates.
Lagos receives more than any state, however, there are couple of states especially in the south south that receives close to it. However, no state (even many other africa countries), come close to it in terms of what it generates. No state do 1/10th.
You can see Ayade of cross river and wike of rivers doing a lot of projects because of the huge money they receive. Lagos on the other hand don't only receive huge money, but it generates a lot more money. Other states are hopeless compared to it.
Where there is money, u won't notice much ineptitude on the part of the government. Its not possible that all the successive governors have been fantastic. They are all Nigerians and humans. We can see what the other governors Tinubu has helped put in other states in the south west with far far less money, we can see how they have performed.
Its foolish to try compare the performance of lagos government with other governments.

If and when the value of the USD comes down, the value of products and services in Naira remain exactly where they are waiting for the next increase in USD value to further increase prices. This is a prime product of a failed state. I remember during Jonathan's last years, all sorts of charts came up just like now depicting drastic price changes compared to when he was just a vice president.

I know this is a very pessimistic view but can you blame me? They say more than half of our population are youth. This means in less than 20 years, our population will double. We don't even have plans for that!
