gascoigne462: Please o I’m yet to get a response to this. Anyone who is knowledgeable on this should advise me please. Depends on how much time you have actually. If you are applying to resume in September then you should defer your admission to the next admission cycle. You don’t necessarily have to cancel it. Because on the average, GCMS notes take one month to arrive then reapplication is anywhere from a month upwards. By then classes would have resumed. If you’re to resume in January however, just order notes, repackage and refire. All the best. |

Ocool: I need some clarifications please: 1. Did you do your biometrics in Lagos or Abuja and when? 2. What do we need the yellow form for? Because, they didn't also give the yellow form to all the people that did the biometric before me today in Abuja.
If the yellow form is very important, that means I will have to go there tomorrow to find out why they didn't give us. I did mine in Lagos on July 13. And what the officer told me was "Include this slip when we ask for your passport" and from what I read on here, people talk about it when they are sending their passport after PPR. It is a long yellow slip, not a form. |

Ocool: Yes, it changed to August 04, 2022 Completed when I checked immidietly I completed the biometric before I left there.
Does that mean everything is ok without the yellow slip you are referring to. Moreover, I did the biometric here in Abuja. So I just checked. I was given my yellow slip and the consent form I signed at the centre that day. But I think just the yellow slip should suffice - else, I'm sure the consent form can easily be gotten. Its not like they stamped it or anything. |

Ocool: Hello gurus in the house.
I just did my biometric now but they didn't give me and my wife any document. But when I checked my dashboard, I saw that it has been updated.
Is this the normal thing please? They should have actually given you one yellow slip at least. Also, is it your biometrics number, etc that has been updated, or the message saying "We need your biometrics" has also changed? |

adeddamola: Hi Thomyne,
It is been 10 days since i did my medicals.
I have not been sent any email from IOM neither was i given a slip after my medicals.
Please help.
Thank you. IOM didn't send me any mail either. There's a printed paper they must have given you at the place they took your picture and fingerprints. If you don't have that, send a mail to IOMLagosClinicalTeam@iom.int if you did your medicals in Lagos with the following format. Hi IOMHAC Lagos,
Trust you are doing great?
On July xx, 2022, I did an Upfront medical at IOMHAC, Ikeja, Lagos. I would love to have a copy of my Medical Report. My details are as follows: Name: SURNAME, Other names UMI: XXXXXXXXXX IME: XXXXXXXX Date of Assessment: Bleep, July XX, 2022
I look forward to hearing from you soon. Thanks, Regards,

JustMellow: Hello Thomsyne,
Third-party websites, third-party reps, or a location do not influence the process or the swiftness of the GCMS notes delivery by IRCC. The notes are delivered according to the pace of the agent attending to such request submitted. If the agent is happy or has fewer backlogs to treat, the quicker the notes are delivered. Also, recently, the GCMS notes are randomly treated. This was observed through an established timeline. This is the reason why some notes are fast in processing and some might witness delays for eternity.
On a side note, the GoC announced last year that from this July 2022, individuals can begin to request their notes from outside Canada. Let's hope their words are honored.
I guess it is now clear?!
One Love! Crystal clear Chief. Thanks! |

Hello house,
I applied on July 8 (New Portal) and did my biometrics on the 13th. This is the only part of my portal that has been updated. I still have the message "We need your fingerprints to process your application. Check your messages below for details."
Is this a common occurrence or do I need to send an email/webform to rectify this so my application can be processed?
Thanks.

JustMellow: Hello Thomsyne,
If individuals outside Canada can not request the notes, will there be such a reason?!
One love! So what I mean is, individuals in Nigeria can request for these notes using GCMS writers, New Immigration, etc and get it in 30 days ish. If someone in Canada requests for it, will they get it faster than the 30 days timeline? And will they send he request straight to IRCC or how? |
Travel › Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 22 by Thomsyne(m): 4:21pm On Aug 01, 2022 |
JustMellow: Hello Miimssss,
Not at all. If you have your Application Number, you can request it. You can request the GCMS notes via GCMSWriters if you have no one in Canada to do so for you.
Success is all I wish You! Do people in Canada get the GCMS notes faster? Or why is that an option? |

olokings: that is a great idea. i did exactly that, however, my GCMS notes were delayed. it has been overdue for 23 days now. hope it arives when it clocks 60 days processing time by Aug. 08.
Visa Application have already passed the 12 weeks processing time. fingers crossed. Wow! Why not do an email to the guys you ordered the GCMS notes from? I saw someone's comment on the previous thread saying they fired those guys emails and the GCMS notes came out within 72 hours or so. Also, do a mail to the Beijing, London and Nairobi offices tirelessly and reach out to the MPs where your school is located. Decision delay is one thing, they shouldn't be delaying GCMS notes too. Wish you all the best! |

olutoyiin: I'm booking my PPR with Faith on this thread.
My application clicked 1 month and a week plus today, as of now no updates has been seen on my portal. Both Biometrics and Medical haven't been uploaded. I ve sent webforms and emails, this morning I discovered my mails were blocked to the Nairobi mailbox.
I've decided to let it go and enjoy this Month If I were you, just like I plan to do, once my application is about 5 weeks, I'd order GCMS notes. From what I have noticed, the notes will contain the status of your application at the time it is sent to you. That way, your mind will be set on the notes - away from the application itself, and surely once the two months are up, the next couple of days/weeks will be set on PPR. Wish us all good luck. Shalom. |

Realteeyee123: Good day house,
I can't pay my fees through form A to Georgian college , the school is saying I use Flywire and can't use Flywire due to CBN regulation have to go through form A, school hasn't provided me with Swift code, bank name, bank address, and account number so I can make payment, what do I do please, can't use black market it's 710, want to pay upto 18,000 CAD, the difference between official rate and black market is upto 4m it's too much Anybody can correct me if I'm wrong but I believe Flywire's payment has several options. One of them is Bank Transfer or something like that. This option will have the swift code and all you need. I believe you should be able to pay using this method with Form A. Only challenge is that the invoice from Flywire has an expiry period - at least in my experience. |

Johnvee11: I explained my POF in my personal statement of purpose also my sponsor wrote a sponsorship letter on my behalf should I also submit my statements of account Yeah, I mean, from what I've read on here and what Anon123 said, do a Letter of Explanation ASAP and attach those bank statements, letter of sponsorship, gift deed, etc. Again as soon as possible. If I remember correctly, I think your account has been recommended for eligibility review so do that fast before a decision is reached. Wish you all the very best! You're almost there. |

The slip is just an evidence of medicals done. I need your input please. Is it okay to start firing emails the moment medicals are done? I did my medicals on the 4th of July, applied 8th, and biometrics on the 13th. Should I wait it out for a month or start firing emails ASAP? My resumption is still January but you never know with these guys. |

purespikes: Not true. I applied for a friend on the new portal and it was approved in 17days! Just 17 days. Both application channels still work... Wow! Interesting!! Any idea what you think made the processing time that fast? People postulate that using MBS for POF makes processing time fast |
