If in 2012,a topic like this is being raised on nairaland, expect to see 'why do women have bosoms and men don't?' Or 'why are men wombless'come 2014.The type of topics I read these days..nawa. ![]() |

Nice thread Mum bought me my first phone in 2004..one cute sagem phone like that, polyphonic ringtone and colour screen .I was the first amongst my friends to use a brand new phone ..most of them got a pass down phone .Dont know the cost of the phone but my sim(MTN) was #13,000. |
I read something similar to this some weeks back. But it was a guy trying to get a girl off his back in this case and I remember most people castigated him including me cause he couldn't give a tangible reason as to why he was no longer interested in the girl, his only explanation was that he fell out of love.I was about giving the same comment I gave then but your last post has shed more light on the situation. Anger is a very big problem which many find difficult to control and yes!another, possesiveness.hmm bad.I don't see Roki's friend as being insensitive and uncaring here..she's just trying to avoid an impending disaster. The guy has issues which are far from being managed and needs to work on himself. The girl sure deserves her space. I really do not know how she can get him off her case but yea,she needs to. |
fluid26: Darkness in ur life...I'll find that light for uyou are a flirt..you've flirted with every lady on this thread [quote author=fluid26] |
macparker: Hello babe! You look similar. That's cause my name is Simi...Lool But I think a guy once said that to me.'hi,you look similiar' English language has sure punished some people. |
Witty07: A coward in what sense.better be sincere with your self.A male chauvinist can never earn my respect..and by a coward,I mean men who try to earn respect by instilling fear.A real man would command his woman's respect by loving, caring and treating her right .Going by your example,it's pretty obvious that the submissive one would loved by the man.I must say I like you analogy cuz you didn't point the man as a bigot.he was openminded to the two women but one chose to be an arse.what I'm saying in essence is that men shouldn't treat women like trash because they probably suffered in their past relationships..All the women you've (don't mean you)dated might be arses but you meet this sweet girl who you have resolved to deal with cuz of the way you were treated not knowing that's your angel you're gonna be mistreating. |
logicboy01: lol....Rhema ko, deeper life ni.I'm not in anyway advocating sexism or female discrimination.I'm a female so why would I be?We cannot rule out the fact that in those days women were regarded as lower species, hence were restricted in taking major roles.Moreso Paul was just sharing an opinion. My comment about spiritual discernment is about your other posts not exactly the topic. |

I've never quite spared a thought to borrowing a wedding gown.I'm not the extravagant or materialistic type but I would for my 'special' day love to wear my dress. It doesn't have to be the most expensive thing but atleast be good enough and worth something.True,it's going to be worn just once but the memory that's gonna be embedded in it would last a lifetime. That doesn't go to mean that I have a problem with those that would prefer to lease afterall it all boils down to one's financial capability and preference. |
Lamest chat up line ' I think we've met before,so what's the name?'...I was like seriously ![]() |
I'm surprised many are still trying to prove some points to the poster. He's an atheist(doesn't believe in God or His existence) so spiritual discernment would be nothing but gibberish to him ..I feel he came up with this question to pose confusion.Ayobase..Your contribution has been more than enlightening, thanks for it..Logic mind..I'm not surprised you do not know about the written word of God (logos) and the spoken word of God (rhema).Pls don't be an author of confusion here. Christianity isn't science that you prove with facts and figures. |
There is absolutely nothing wrong in a man doing those things for his girl. All those saying they would do it for their wives and not gf should spare me..isn't your wife first gonna be a girlfriend? And I'm sure that wasn't the reason the op's gf broke up with him so y'all should stop capitalizing on that.I'm gonna respect a man who can do those things and still maintain his stand as a man.Any man who feels the only way he can prove his masculinity is by being domineering and |
Though this is really none of my business.Deedee49,I think Slimyem was advocating for you in her second post..so the least you owe her is an apology..but like I said earlier it's really none of my business..just thot we'd straighten things up here as regards your post..I think there's nothing wrong with being best friends with the opposite sex tho there's usually a raised eye brow in the part of the world I(and many of us) came from especially if the said bff is in an established relationship. To help issues you could grow a bond with his wife as well,so it becomes a family affair of some sort. |
hmmm..cute!must everything involving one tribe be turned into a tribal war .I pity some people |
Wow!to say I've learnt a lot from reading this thread is an understatement.I've been blessed! It is by far the most engaging, intriguing, interesting, realistic, thought provoking, educative, informative and thought rendering thread i've come across on nairaland. I have laughed, cried, smiled, prayed, gone into deep thoughts et al. And to everyone that has contributed to this thread, words are not enough to thank you..May your homes be filled with joy and laughter.I would love this thread to be revived, more married folks should come and share their experiences. We(singles) want to hear and learn from you.please keep them coming..let's reawaken this thread! |

Having gone through your thread,I am more than happy that you are now considering something dignifying and have discarded the thought of being a stripper or marrying some money bag..Like you said, you do not know what the odds are but whatever the case may be you have to put aside the thought of fending for your whole family. You are still a student so don't let your family worries choke the sanity left in you.If there's anyone to be bothered about that, it's your mum..I wish you the best dear.best of luck. |
Sapele's words are so inspiring.op he has said it all. There are times I'm tempted to complain when (in this case),my mum send me on errands, they sometimes seem unending but when I reflect on how much she's invested and still investing on me..I'm always more than willing to run them. I'm not disputing the fact that we are human and complaints seem inevitable sometimes, but like someone said think of the time you would yearn for his presence but he would not be there to answer your call.Cherish every moment you have with him now and also remain steadfast in your job hunt. I wish you all the best. |
My inamorato,my love!words cannot express how much you mean to me..Even though people around us frowned at our union we have proven to them that ours is one made in heaven..contrary to the thoughts of many we have also shown that we can survive and be faithful in a long distance relationship..Tho you do not hold the title yet,I wish you this day a happy fathers' day for I know you will make a wonderful father to OUR future kids..love you now and always,Ifemi. |
I'm loving the e-relationship btween ije and Killz..and the sequence goes thus;from e-admiration to e-wooing to e-acceptance,now currently in e-relationship..hope you guys take it to the next level ie e-m/proposal,e-wedding & marriage,e-kids and e-old age still in e- love.. ![]() @idowu badosky, may you stay long on nl to see your e-grandkids.iseeeee ![]() |
welcome back babe ![]() |
Riodiao: f.U.Ck u. So u just write rubbish fiction here 4 us. Ur mad, infact ur S.TupidIt would be immature of me to exchange words with you but all the same I'll still bare my mind to you. I don't remember calling YOU to come and read my post and if I'm not mistaken you didn't even give any meaningful reply to the post. Also if your eyesight were functional, you would've seen that I said its someone's story (not a fiction)..Infact do I owe you all these explanations? Now do yourself a favour and get the hell outta my thread. |
