Ezewholesalee: Why Are Apple's iPhones More Expensive Than Most Other Smartphones? Here Are Four Reasons
Many of us look forward to a new addition to the Apple ecosystem each year. Be it the latest AirPods, Apple Watch, or MacBook, it is common to see consumers make a scramble to get the latest ones. There is no denying that the one item receiving the most love would be the iPhone. People from all over the world queue hours or even days before an official launch just to get their hands on the latest model every year.
With that said, it is no secret that Apple iPhones are more expensive than their Android counterparts, and this fact reigns true even if the devices are used and being resold.

Pardon me but I think you wrote a load of bullocks.
Americans live in a bubble. The kind of Matrix life Morpheus warned Neo about. There are certain things other nations take for granted, that Corporate America sells as luxury in the US. I recall with amusement, one funny episode that happened around 2015 on CNN where the correspondent was hyping the introduction of dual SIM in Apple iPhones in the US, as if it was one novel tech breakthrough. Meanwhile Android devices had already been using such devices since time immemorial.
Same goes for healthcare. I heard that if you fall ill with a medical emergency that would require the services of an ambulance to convey you to the hospital, that would cost you approximately $15,000! Medicare billing is a nightmare for citizens in the US and the medical/pharmaceutical corporations are making a killing from what's going on in America.
Apple iPhones are manufactured in China, brought back to the US for software installation and sold at more than 300% markup, due to successful advertising. The citizens will always buy new models because they are not paying cash down payment for it. They use contracts. It's Nigerians who emulate such spending craze that I have no pity for.
As for the picture I attached, Daraprim is an antimalarial we used to take in the 90's. I don't know if anyone still takes them in Nigeria, now that we have so many newer antimalarials like ACT combinations. So a pack of Daraprim should not be more than N2,000 currently. You can see what it went for at the height of the period when now defunct Turing Pharmaceuticals secured the rights to market the drug and hiked its price from $13.5 to $750 paper tablet!
LIVINGICON: Whether your woman don turn gymnast for bed? That one no be issue. My own be say no do pass yourself. No go take enhancement pills to satisfy the bottomless pit. Cum ur cum and go.
bigpicture001: Ok.. but why didn't he hand the bizness to his wife.. thier mother
Don't u think the achievement he listed is too much..? People change na.. what if he hasn't achieve them and his sister got married.. so her husband would be controlling their bizness..?
Dad didn't hand the estate to mum, because I highly suspect that he believed it was mum's excessive free handedness and lack of discipline with you sorry your friend, that caused your his waywardness and unproductive state. Therefore if he'd left the management of the Estate in her custody, a similar fate would befall the Estate.
davillian: His father is nice.... He should graduate He should have less than 7 police case He should work with the company for 4 years before taking over.... His father still trust and believe in him......
Me o No police case He should graduate with a 1st or second class He would work with the company for 10 yes get married have a kid before he can take over
Chop knuckle! We think alike. I was even saying that the father was extremely lenient with the boy in giving the condition that the boy should graduate with a Pass.
Thespagchef: Good day N'Lander. This truck was loaded with pasta at Golden Penny factory, Iganmu on the 10th of January 2022. It should have arrived at Ibadan on the 12th of January 2022. But all connection to it was lost since 11th of January 2022.

I actually thought about this Wednesday 5th January, when CNN announced that the Powerball jackpot prize of $630m had been won.
I went home and fantasized about what I would do if I happened to be the winner. Better to be prepared, than to be caught off-guard, right?
I decided that I would collect the winnings as a lump sum anonymously, set aside $50,000 emergency funds in an account I can access in the event of an emergency, then proceed on a 1 year Sabbatical journey to a monastery in Asia, where I would master the habit of self-discipline.
The lump sum would be deposited in equal parts among the top 10 best-performing US fund managers of 2021. My reasoning being that if they can generate at least a 15% gain on investment anually, then that would be more than enough for me and my family to live an unencumbered life without any financial worries. Thailand and Southeast Asia generally, would be my destination, as those places would give you the fine things of life, without being outrageously expensive.
I could let the funds be managed ad infinitum and set up endowments for my children and their children.
I just pray that my training on self-discipline would hold true.
DOTian: It's not eye service. I think it has something to do with having conscience and worrying about where you are going. When you want to be in your Lords good book...
Other parents would pass on and leave an estate in the form of wealth and fixed assets for their loved ones.
Another is leaving a debt of N11m for his loved ones to suffer and pay off and buy off his supposed salvation. Then they go forward to announce the deed on public media.
Lastmankc: To all the ladies that always pretend as if they are sleeping, but when you want to remove their pants, they we raise their waist allowing you to remove it immediately without stress.May God bless you and you will never go to hefaya
Poorfarmer: I saw some guys eating this meat, they said it is a Fulani chicken that is why they are tall, but I refuse to eat it since i didn't see it when it was alive.
chiol: This shows that the young people are not willing to be caged, frustrated and pushed out of the system after milking their youthful energies. They can be on their own and be making your annual salary in a month.
Some undergraduates these days are richer than bankers that have worked for over 10 years. Bank managers can hardly afford the cars and lifestyle some of them live.
Banks and many companies are now finding it difficult to find workers. They should look into their staff welfare as soon as possible to avoid the danger that looms as per Shortage of manpower. Many are resigning and people are not willing to join
You're actually right on some points. There has been a deluge of staff resignations (emigrations abroad and movement to other banks) in addition to staff disaffection and apathy arising from the disconnect between hyperinflation currently being experienced and a stagnation of earnings for years.
Samishiba: Some people trying warn them. I don't know that the victims don't hear or ignore. Translation Get out of there the rock will fall. Oh my god the rock is falling. They scream get out of there it's going to fall... get out of there it's going to fall...
Oh my God! They definitely ignored the warnings and calls to leave that area.
I've heard about a slightly similar scenario where the wrong corpse was accidentally released.
What made it worse was that the corpse had been transported all the way from Sokoto to Enugu, only for the transporters to get to the family compound, open the casket and be informed that they'd brought the wrong body. Sokoto to Enugu.
chrisanderson99: I don't just want to say what is on my mind because it is a new year.
But then, who did the voting?
Who would see Stella Okoli of Emzor and Nneka Onyeali-Ikpe who is the Managing director of Fidelity bank which is an Igbo bank and would choose Adaora Umeoji over them.
Today is my first time of hearing about Adaora Umeoji. Most of all these awards have lost its value.
Do you know the kind of impact Stella Okoli has made in Anambra and Nigeria in general.
Make una stop all these yeye award wey una dey sell to the highest bidders.
I voted actually and I personally know more than 40 others who did.
With respect to hearing about her for the first time...
Truth is, there is no hard or fast rule to this. There are people who've been given visas with sponsors resident in the US and there are others who've been denied. In my honest opinion, beyond your sponsor (which you can't change), there are other factors that can improve your chances of getting your visa. First, if you have a graduate assistantship from your school that covers a significant part of your cost of attendance, it removes the focus from your sponsor to a large effect. Also, having strong ties to Nigeria such as a good and/or well-paying job or working in a well known company, as well as having a very solid plan of how/what the degree obtained will do for you upon returning to Nigeria, will improve your chances.
Even if you can't address all factors above, try and get an assistantship from your school and be able to clearly explain what the degree will do for you...and you may be shocked that you may not even be asked for your statement of account or about any of your relatives. All in all, do your part and always hold out for the best outcome.
I sincerely understand your concern as the wording on the webpage suggests that the passport should be valid at least 6 months beyond the intended period of stay in the US. I'm not exactly sure if it's a new change as the same wording are on different other "state.gov" webpages. However, up till December 23 when the embassy went on break, I know of a few folks with passports with only 9-12 months to expiration who got their visa approved without any problem. To be doubly sure, you can send an email to the embassy and they'll get back with clarification.
Hi Tim, Good day and Happy Holidays to you and yours.
Love your in-depth and concise response to questions.
I have one which I'd like clarifications on please.
Several visa interview transcripts and responses from people here seem to give the impression that one might get unfavorable visa response if you have relatives in the US. How true is that please?
My sponsor happens to be my uncle who has been resident in the US for decades. This in addition to several other cousins, uncles and aunts residing there. Will this be a problem?
If you remember in my previous post on my resigning from my place of work and focus on my bike full time, I wrote to the school management informing them that I will not continue with them since they don't buy the idea of combining their work and my bike.
So some weeks ago, they asked that I leave their apartment on or before 21st December.
After some days, they called to ask if I had left, to which I told them I have not gotten a place yet.
So they extended to today being Friday, 24th.
This evening, the owner of the school (an elderly man) came to the apartment to throw my stuffs out that I must leave their school since they didn't sack me. That I choose to resign.
I explained to him that I have not been able to get a place.
When I now told him I needed him to pay me for December so I could add to my money and get a place.
Na there the man flare up, rushed inside the apartment and started throwing my shoes away and as if that wasn't enough he rushed out and went to the metal pole used to hold the car wheel used as bell and rushed towards me and hit my leg with it. I thought this man was joking, he targeted my head and missed.
Immediately I felt my colleague held the rod, I looked at my leg and saw blood gushing out.
I am contemplating reporting to the police with the injury.
But I still want seek counsel from you guys whether it's wise doing that.
Here is the picture of the rod and injury inflicted on me by the man.
I just regret not video recording it. That would have been a stronger proof.
I'll just try to be factual.
What rights do you have to occupy another person's accommodation, which is ordinarily reserved for staff?
What rights of claim do you have to put in a resignation without 1 month prior notice to the employer?
The school if I'm not mistaken, is supposed to hire a replacement for the position that you made vacant and the new hire will be housed in the room you currently occupy (without permission).
You claim that you make more income from the bike business and for that reason, informed the school that you'll no longer work for them, yet you refused to vacate the accomodation they provided for staff?
The matters should be treated in order of occurrence. Move out of the premises you're unduly occupying first, before a listening ear will be given to your case that comes second.
Thank God for life...Two years ago I was on the verge of suicide, I went to buy Sniper, the shop attendant told me my money is Not enough to afford suicide, I was like I'm so broke I can't even afford death, Well on my way home, I bought beans and bread, And I was very happy because bread and beans sweet pass sniper, I started thinking, so Na like dis I for leave bread and beans behind...Once again thank God for life
One day I go die Sha, but at least not by my own hand....
It is well with you bro.
It takes wisdom to appreciate the inevitability of life transition.
this only happens when the father is around to unite the lots in special days like this.
but once he's dead ( everybody find your way) like the one in my street, they normally kill ram every Christmas Eve, bought by his eldest son. but their father passed away this year January.... yesterday it was like grave yard over there. damn!
Like our house in the village.
But we're all currently spending the holidays at our other family home in town with our siblings and kids.
umuerri1: Ok brother mine has been here for about 3weeks now and I’m still watching though, the palpitations are so intense sometimes, other times I can’t feel it. About two doctors now have ran tests maybe there’s something else causing it but still not found anything,. Kind of bothered don’t know what to do. I guess yours was just palpitations and your blood pressure was normal, my blood pressure fluctuates between 140 and 150
I didn't check my blood pressure during the period.
Take sufficient rests, avoid strenuous activities and sports, then give it some time.
If it persists, you might have to see an endocrinologist.
umuerri1: Hi bro I’m having same issue rn I consumed black bullet for like once in two weeks that’s two cans a night twice in two weeks and all of a sudden now I have palpitations How were you coping during your time? With the palpitations
Plenty sleep (which is ironical because that's what you were trying to avoid in the first place). Then I absolutely stayed off caffeine until I graduated. Also drank lots of water.
The palpitations stayed on for about a month before waning off gradually.
Walspring: Really? Imagine you as a VO will you approve visa of someone who has Bsc already and telling you that he want to go and start polytechnic afresh in your country?
Is better for him or her to do what’s right and not to waste his or her money in this season where VO scrutinize granting visa like never before and even to get interview date is another wahala.
I didn't want to rain on her parade.
Some people gain MSc admission here, then enrol for ADN programs upon landing.
