Wait! Wait! Is it the same U.S where the Commander-in-Chief appointed his OWN daughter and son-in-law as White House advisers? Kettle calling pot black. Myopic Nigerians should understand that the US government is one of the most conniving and self-serving institution that ever crawled the surface of the earth. Forget all these rants about carrying out an independent investigation. They are only keen at installing their stooge at the helm and would go at any length, dig up whatever dirt, cast all the mud to achieve that objective. P.S. The AfDB should have an Internal Control department that should be saddled with the responsibility of handling staff infractions, likewise the Board being the topmost level that should "check and balance" activities of the Executive. P.P.S. See the way the report is just bandying USD salaries in 6 digit figures bikonu! Oh AfDB! Where have you been all my life?! |
Jobs/Vacancies › Re: Gap Teeth A Reason For Disqualification In Bank Interviews? by Tinyemeka(m): 10:33pm On May 27, 2020 |
barnny: Today i just got a reply that my experience, profile and presentation were remarkable but However, they regret to inform me that I was not recommended at the end of the interview session.
Without been told I already knew My open teeth is behind this again. Pls help me out on this, if i should stop wasting my time, energy and money applying for jobs. Honestly I'm beginning to get depressed of all the emotional trauma.
The question is Should i stop applying for jobs like banks? Do I still have hope? How will I start imagine things when My age exceed their limit, knowing fully well that banks has limited age range.
Pls help a brother before depression will weigh me down. Below is the screenshot of the message i got from the recruiters and my gap teeth Fvck that shit! It's your scraggly beard and not your dentition that is the cause. Bankers are supposed to be clean-shaven at all times (and anyone who tells you otherwise is either an outsider, a low level inexperienced bunkum a.k.a Obote or bank worker, or a semi-literate, toutish ITK. Take it from me bro). You can't find a professional banker who really knows his onions, sporting a beard, not to talk of a shaggy one with stray hairs sprouting hither-thither. It's cringe-inducing! Search pics of senior staff, managers and CEOs, then you'll understand. Keep a clean shave when next you have an interview, look for a dentist to fill the gap caused by your missing tooth (shit ain't look like a gap-tooth to me), brush up on your grammar and I think you'll be good to go, since the HR's feedback says you've already got the charisma. Best of luck next time bro! #okbye! |

dasparrow: I don't miss the mosquitoes, malaria, typhoid, dust, heat, overpopulation, haggling prices when one wants to purchase something, tribalism, bigotry, lack of constant power supply and water supply, rising cost of living but low wages, employers in the habit of owing employees salary for months, insecurity, Nigerians not knowing how to respect personal boundaries and/or mind their business. Nigeria is just not conducive for me. Now almost all civil service jobs especially in the health sector (that I'm aware of) are purchased. I don't want to say ALL civil service jobs. The remaining ones that aren't paid for, are offered based on cronyism and nepotism. It's totally unheard of and a taboo, to get civil service employment through a regular recruitment process based on merit. If that happened, something awfully wrong happened somewhere along the line. It's that bad. |

KanwuliaExtra: Please, explain. To a major extent, the income bands of people tend to be determined by the level of their cerebral aptitude. If you're smart with above average intelligence in today's world, you're very likely to secure a well paying job or run a successful business. If you're very smart, then it's very likely that you'd have a lot of good options to choose from as far as very well paid jobs are concerned. E.g Doctors, architects, investment bankers, fund managers, data scientists, even engineer ex-boyfriends, etc. For some of these people, acing exams, interviews and so on just happens naturally without much stress. Because they were born smart. Conversely, the not so smart have got the odds stacked up against them and would have to really work hard to make an impact. Unfortunately, they were just born that way. They didn't get to choose their intelligence level. Biko, it's not that I'm making a case for the not so successful to blame their (mis)fortunes on their aptitude levels - hardwork is very relevant - but one's natural intelligence also plays a key role. I think. |

If you are pure,
Go to the immigration office and tell them all you are experiencing ..that is still where you have power for now.
Lest you lose your house and you become homeless on the street.[
Your case is not new. It happened to an uncle who brought his children and toxic wife from Nigeria despite the fact that they been having not too pleasant marriage in Nigeria.
To cut a long story short, the wife chased him out of the house he had bought for many years and restricted him. The man is now in Nigeria, old and dejected.
A stitch in time saves nine. Oh! I'm just getting really depressed with all these posts. Honestly. I also have an uncle who relocated back from L.A to the village. Now he's been running around looking for something steady to do. Wife seized the house in the US in addition to gaining sole custody of the kids. It's just so pathetic. Have got a bit of friction myself and I'm supposed to send my wife to the UK to practise nursing. Now I no longer have the courage for that. What fvckin' shit is this?! |
Family › Re: Wife Trying To Ruin My Career Within A Few Months Of Arriving Abroad by Tinyemeka(m): 12:24am On May 20, 2020 |
LinLinGentle: Disclaimer: I AM NOT A SAINT AND MY WIFE IS NOT THE DEVIL. I HAVE JUST BEEN UNFORTUNATE TO BECOME A VICTIM OF MATRIARCHY WHICH MANY MEN SUFFER ABROAD...
I have been hustling abroad for a few years while wifey was working in Nigeria and living with children. Marriage has always been turbulent and we even almost got divorced after I travelled out. We somehow worked on our issues with the help of pastors, family and friends, and after a few years of ''roughing'' it abroad to pave way for them, I finally succeeded and my family arrived a few months ago.
I used to be hot tempered, but I have had enough time to gain insight into my inadequacies and reflect on them. I am now significantly calmer due to the determination to make my marriage better and as per ''abroad levels''. My wife on the other hand is fully taking advantage of me and the environment we find ourselves in. First thing she did on getting here was to cut of my entire family. She said she doesn't want to have anything to do with any of them anymore. She has also not been too keen to kickstart her career, as all she does is endless picture taking and editing for social media hyping. I know this might be due to the initial ''euphoria'' phase cos she is coming abroad to a big house, big car and having no limits on most things we used to manage back in Nigeria, and she thinks things are bread and butter. You would never think for a second that she is a married woman if you check her profiles on social media!
She has become even more toxic person than she ever was in Naija. Now very bossy, never backs down, always the attacker, ever ready for a fight, lazier, always on social media, communicates with me as little as possible, embarrasses me in the neighbourhood with the constant noises from our house, and finally her threats have now tripled! Madam is now so fierce that I have become the house chicken. Just within a few months of being here o! She tells me that she will show me for all the ''gra gra'' I used to do back in Nigeria. Friends advised me against bringing this woman here but I no wan hear word as per responsible family man wey I dey claim to be.
The popular threat is usually ''I will end your career''. I wasn't taking this too seriously initially, but she then started following through with the threats by constant calls to the police and other services, making spooky and baseless career ending accusations and allegations against me.
I have never been the one to first lay my hands on her, but I have spilled drinks on her before when she attacked me. My wife now gets very physical without having any element of self control, fear or restraint after the simplest argument and sometimes, she damages things out of anger. She does this so often and never hesitates to dare me to do my worst.
I discovered that she has signed up on dating sites and when I even caught her chatting about sex to a particular guy in our area, she said that it was all my fault. She did not apologise for this. She even referred to it one time after an argument that if I am convulsing like this over just a sex chat, she's waiting to see what I'd do when I see a man on top of her.
My productivity at work has declined significantly and I am now on the verge of depression. Neighbours called the police on us one time after a lot of noise from out house. She accused me of domestic violence. The police had to separate us and I was stuck at home for an extended period and could not go to work due to this. I am now being investigated for domestic violence, which is a serious crime as madam wants it and I have had to report the situation to my company! The whole thing is so messy that I am scared that I have not seen the worst yet.
I am so afraid of losing it all and returning to Nigeria broke cos I spent my last card and even racked credit card debt to bring them here hoping to pay off gradually. I still have a few years to get my citizenship and if I lose my job now, that is the end for all of us!
For now, I don't know what is going to happen to us, as this woman is so determined to cause great and irreparable damage that could ruin our lives, just to get back at me and she is being cheered on by her family and friends.
THE SITUATION IS SO MESSED UP! Oh Lord! Oh Lord! Oh Lord! |

I strongly believe that this virus has spread beyond imaginations!
And for you easterners that are always happy whenever they encounter this kind of thread!!
This virus is gradually spreading in your region Whitout people being tested!!
Anambra state that has highest number of foreigne returnees and people who illegally migrate back to east from different regions, your governors are busy lifting ban on churches and markets
You also have the most foolish governors in Nigeria!!
Many of you are here blaming kano and some are even enjoying the show!
Instead of pressuring your state governors to test more people and build isolation centers!!
You're all here waiting for any news to mock kano with and call them illiterates!
Can't believe that some of you are really happy with the spread of this virus in kano state!
Una go soon get sense by the time reality hit una! We are all in this together!!
States with no much cases should pressure their governors to tighten their borders and to test more people!!
Refusal to totally shut down borders and testing more people is the biggest mistake kano state government ever made! You started off well, then veered out to sounding delusional, before concluding your post with some degree of common sense. I highly doubt that people derive happiness from reading about these strange and increasing number of deaths. Please stop being delusional. |

Stupid hypocrites. See how they took out time to blow grammar here and there, without a single utterance about the reasons why the doctors are protesting. Early this month, nurses protested lack of PPE available to protect them from Covid-19 and the CMD had the temerity to say it was just a handful nurses who were causing trouble. Now it's resident doctors and the response is to rush to court and produce documents to show that they are essential workers of which they mustn't strike. Have their grievances been addressed? What do I know? |

After soliciting for prayers from his fans when the Vitus led to impaired kidney, he gave up due to the complication that built up from the virus infection.
He managed to keep himself on our dear planet using a ventilator, but the asthma he had caused more harm than good.
