On point my sister. Bible is a knife with two edges. Even satan has bible verses to buttress his points. The writer has some point though but by encouraging men of God or other people to have concubines is not Christlike.

Every woman has emotion and once a man start having an extra moral life style with another woman to the knowledge of his wife, the woman's life will be shattered. Whether she starts having extra moral affairs or not, her life can never be the same.

Op surely made some points, as most life people live now are centered on his write up.

I'm not encouraging anyone and this statement if yours is the reason for the crazy hypocrisy we have today.

Pastors can't preach this cos they don't want to lose members and it is understandable that many ladies will not like this but that is not my business to worry about.

My write up is aimed at pointing out the fact behind polygamy in relation to men in general.

Only an objective and mature lady wi l see sense in this.

Emotions can not change facts. If your hubby decides to marry another lady at al cost you either accept or leave the marriage but if you are lucky to have a man that sticks to you alone without secretly having side chics everywhere then good for you.

The most bizarre twist is that many ladies will prefer their husbands to have side chics rather than marry a second lady so the question is WHO IS FOOLING WHO?

Anyway on a more serious note, everything you said is True & Women usually see a post like this as trying to attack their Gender instead of calling a spade what it is. Women usually see a third party coming to take their place hence Polygamy is a problem for Women, not really Men.

The Bible never really condemned polygamy outrightly, I don't know what motives were taking into consideration that made most Men in the Old Testament marry a lot of Women, but your explanations are not far from the truth. Christianity was brought in by the missionaries in 18th century & was only established in 1842 in Badagry by Henry Townsend. So we just accepted everything they told us, even though the Bible did not specifically say those things. Usually when Preachers talk about married couples, they quote Adam & Eve, as Eve was created from Adams Ribs to be his helper, So a Man should/must marry one Wife but they now leave the rest of the old testaments which sounds funny to me. A lot of assumptions here & there about what God said & did.

I always try to ignore saying this in public, not to get attacked by people or perhaps Female folks as I always try not to offend anyone. Men are polygamous by nature, that is why a Man needs a lot of discipline NOT to actually cheat on his Spouse because the Natural mind wants to cheat at all cost & a lot of Women become very furious when you make statements like this. Cheating doesn't Mean the Woman is doing something wrong, Men want to Cheat because they always feel like it. Period.

Oh & yes, Not all Men cheat, the ones who don't have attained a level of discipline & control of their mind.

However polygamy might be a way out, but history has proven that Polygamous homes usually crumble & Wives / Children fight themselves. I rather have a peaceful home with one Wife than the luxury of many wives without peace & long life, so in the end. I stick to Monogamy.

I totally agree with you on that part that ladies hate people who speak the truth about this issue and i am ready to be hated. If i woo them let them decline but i will always say it as it is.

The world is annoying with hypocrisy,many men who will come on this thread to condemn this write up are most likely guilty of sleeping around whilst me the writer can boast of sexual faithfulness to one lady..how strange.

But does the fact THAT I CHOSE monogamy makes polygamy a sin? HELL NO...Its a choice and if i find any reason to have another woman in my life i will do so with no explanation to anyone except GOD.

God simply said an innocemt partner is free to divorce an adulterous partner and remarry.

One thing I have come to realize in life is that we never stop learning except we believe we know it all.

Mine is too long. Candlewax's story really touched me. Now I'm inspired and encouraged.

Few days ago I wished I was given an option of being born...lol but I had to quickly rebuke such thought knowing my life was spared at birth, may God have mercy on me.

Whenever I think of my life issues stories or challenges, i quickly encourage myself and realize nothing stops God from being God. I still know He's faithful. Whether I or anyone else here had made it or not does not limit God. If you give up on Him because of your situation you are only doing yourself because someone somewhere his testimony of Him right now. You can only pray and trust on Him to come out of it triumphantly.

Lacking everything is not lacking anything unless you're lacking God.

I don't open up everything about my story to anyone, I only tell you bits because I know u can't understand as much (so goes to every other person's story) as i do. I know only God see and know intensity of my pain and struggles better so I believe He will know about it He will do something about it for He's an affectionate father.

Talking about hard life..... I remember in my Year 4 when I had to go Unilag from Ogba for some project stuffs and all. Only had tfare to go. I eventually hustled money from my friends to get me to Ojota. Had to trek from Ojota to Ogba that night. Life isn't easy at all but it's worth living

Talking about projects I will never forget my ordeal.

In 1997 I wrote my final project and we were 4 under one supervisor who asked each of us to pay some money but me I no get so we were discussing the issue amongst ourselves when one of us went behind our backs to tell the lecturer just to gain favour.

I nearly commited suicide that year cos the lecturer who doubled as our supervisor vowed that the remaining 3 of us will not graduate and he almost succeeded if not for GOD that miraculously intervened by bringing one other lecturer that took it upon himself to take out project to the external supervisor.

The lecturer gave 3 of us 1.0 in our seminar and project...imagine having 1.0 each in an 8point and 16point course.

I will treck without food to his house beg him but he won't bulge. I will go to luth in the morning and leave their at 8p.m but he won't even bother to notice me.
