If the aso villa is not abandoned then we should not bother electing another president because it will be the same story. ASO ROCK IS HUNTED BY THE BLOODS OF THOSE USED TO LAY THE FOUNDATIONS Let us all start a campaign today for the government to abandon that place. Only a fool gets angry if another disagrees with his or her stands but when it boils down to insults and childish attacks on the personality of the writer which you especially are fond of and i hope you have changed...As long as posters stick to the subject matter and avoid attacking the writer for stating his or her opinion then there will be no reason for bickering. Check the original response of the person you quoted and you will not agree less with me.. It is utterly childish, unintelligent and a clear sign of intellectual stuntedness to use vulgar words on another just because such expresses his or her opinion. |

Politicalidiot: Someone asked this question on Quora "What common mistakes do people make when choosing a life partner?" the answer below was so splendid I tot to share -
My Dad gave me a ton of fantastic advice over the years, but a couple of simple and powerful analogies he shared with me came to mind when I saw this question.
The first lesson came up when I was learning to drive: there was a tricky intersection near my house where cross traffic does not stop. As a newly licensed teen driver I’d get a little nervous when having to chose the right moment to turn. I tended to sit there too long, waiting for the perfect gap from traffic coming in both directions. And of course the longer I waited, the more anxious I’d feel, particularly when a line of cars started forming behind me introducing even more pressure, setting up the perfect scenario for an increasingly desperate driver to panic and rush out at the wrong time with disastrous consequences….

see image below
(Lucky for me, I had my Dad patiently at my side reminding me not to worry about the cars queuing up behind me, pick a gap that is safe and good and head out confidently and calmly).
After the first time this happened, my Dad explained that unfortunately he has witnessed this same thing happen far too many times to women when choosing a life partner (he’s a psychiatrist specializing in relationships). They tend to pass up good, promising potential partners while waiting for the “ideal”, “perfect” partner. Then slowly pressures start piling up (biological clock, nagging parents, all of their friends are getting married), they panic and pick the next guy, any guy who comes along, often with disappointing consequences…
It wasn’t until later in life, when I started seeing this happen to lovely women I know that I realized how true and sad this was….

@Toks2008 Nice one...the fact is that this clearly applies to guys too. I fact I am in that situation now but because of my nature I don't allow it to bother me expecially when you have been in a failed union of many years. One fact I always tell ladies and guys is that there is no ideal partner and there is really no good or bad choice but matters is the choice you make and learning to cope with it.. |

51. "Verily, verily, I say unto you,
'IF A MAN KEEP MY SAYING, HE SHALL NEVER SEE DEATH.'
52. Then said the Jews unto him, "Now we know that thou hast a Devil. Abraham is dead, and the Prophets; and thou sayest,
'IF A MAN KEEP MY SAYING, HE SHALL NEVER TASTE OF DEATH.'
53. "Art thou greater than our father Abraham, which is dead? And the Prophets are dead: whom makest thou thyself?"
To ask this nonsense every day, there is NO WAY that you are a Believer In YAHSHUA today.

. DEUTERONOMY 30:19-20.
19. I call Heaven and Earth to record this day against you, that I have set before you Life and Death, Blessing and Cursing: therefore Choose Life, that both thou and thy seed may live: 20. That thou mayest love The LORD thy God, and that thou mayest obey His Voice, and that thou mayest cleave unto Him: for He is thy Life, and the Length of thy days: that thou mayest dwell in the land which The LORD sware unto thy fathers, to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob, to give them.

Christianity Etc › Re: Why Did Jesus Curse The Fig Tree? by Toks2008(m): 10:52am On Oct 09, 2016 |
chinnyness122: Mark 11:12-14 says, The next day, as they were coming back from Bethany, Jesus was hungry. He saw in a distance a fig tree covered with leaves, so He went to see if He could find any figs on it. But when He came to it, he found only leaves, BECAUSE IT WAS NOT THE RIGHT TIME FOR FIGS. Jesus said to the fig tree " No one shall ever eat figs from you again!" And His disciples heard Him.
then verses 20-21 says Early the next morning, as they walked along the road, they saw the fig tree. It was dead all the way down to its root. Peter remembered what happened and said "look, Teacher, the fig tree you cursed has died!"
So my brethren, I ask, because I am not understanding. since it wasn't time for the fig to bear fruits, was He really expecting to see some figs up there? I know every fruit and.plants have their seasons. Is there suppose to be some kinda miracle fruit up there? Pls someone should explain plz, I want to understand.
# no hating# no cursing# Mods pls. I need answers As to the significance of this passage and what it means, the answer to that is again found in the chronological setting and in understanding how a fig tree is often used symbolically to represent Israel in the Scriptures. First of all, chronologically, Jesus had just arrived at Jerusalem amid great fanfare and great expectations, but then proceeds to cleanse the Temple and curse the barren fig tree. Both had significance as to the spiritual condition of Israel. With His cleansing of the Temple and His criticism of the worship that was going on there (Matthew 21:13 ; Mark 11:17 ), Jesus was effectively denouncing Israel’s worship of God. With the cursing of the fig tree, He was symbolically denouncing Israel as a nation and, in a sense, even denouncing unfruitful “Christians” (that is, people who profess to be Christian but have no evidence of a relationship with Christ). The presence of a fruitful fig tree was considered to be a symbol of blessing and prosperity for the nation of Israel. Likewise, the absence or death of a fig tree would symbolize judgment and rejection. Symbolically, the fig tree represented the spiritual deadness of Israel, who while very religious outwardly with all the sacrifices and ceremonies, were spiritually barren because of their sins. By cleansing the Temple and cursing the fig tree, causing it to whither and die, Jesus was pronouncing His coming judgment of Israel and demonstrating His power to carry it out. It also teaches the principle that religious profession and observance are not enough to guarantee salvation, unless there is the fruit of genuine salvation evidenced in the life of the person. James would later echo this truth when he wrote that “faith without works is dead” (James 2:26 ). The lesson of the fig tree is that we should bear spiritual fruit (Galatians 5:22-23 ), not just give an appearance of religiosity. Hope this makes sense |
