Show me one place in the bible that is against polygamy.

If i may help out, the bible does not condemn polygamy or a man marrying as many wives as he would but only admonishes General overseers to be husbands of one wife... it is also clear from the bible that great men who were and stil friends of GOD were polygamous.

This is a clear sign that polygamy was never condemned in the bible suffix to say it is totally baseless for any lady to kill herself over the polygamous nature of man and only babies, teenagers,adolescents and few mature ladies in age will be crying fowl over a man cheating on them.

If you want me to present scriptures upon scriptures relating to polygamy let me know and i wil gladly do that.

The times have changed too much for you to say it's the man's job to do this and the woman's to do that. After all the women didn't get degrees and certification to come and hang on the husband's wall. What you should rather emphasize is love, humility and understanding between the two spouses. If you love your wife for instance, and see her being crushed under the weight of certain chores, nothing stops you from helping her out. If you love your husband and for a time he is incapable of meeting financial needs of the family, and you have the means to assist, do so without thinking too much of it. My wife is not the co-bread winner in the house or of the family and yet I assist in doing household chores becuase, for me, i believe it's a form of exercise. Besides, by doing so, I'm also saving myself some cost and frustration. It allows me to know when certain things are not available or when they are likely not going to be available and I prepare in advance.

Like I wake up before anybody, boil water for the baby's flask and the one mother and child will use to take their bath. I'm even the one that goes to bed last. Once I'm back to the house my wife practically shot down; she knows I will take charge, and I have to if I want things to be done well. I go to bed last because I want to make sure all lights are put off; there's no water on the floor, no running tap and things like that. Yet, I'm the bread winner. Though, my wife, in her magnanimity, do get some things for the house, and for which I thank her. For instance, she will cook fresh fish when I've actually given her money for 'ponmo'

I know money, financial status, mental preparedness and more are necessary in marriage but putting all that aside what are yours fears? Mine has a lot of what ifs


what if in the long run it gets boring with everything looking like a routine with the fire that was present initially, will she try to rekindle it? As we know most ladies (not all) tend to wait for the guy to everything to spice it all up, from kinky gossips or just gisting.

What if she doesn't have time for me and probably loves the kids more?

what if love making becomes more like a chore or routine, would she try to spice it up and become more adventurous?

what if am no more would she be able to handle everything all on her own ( men die before that wives).

what if she changes during the course of marriage ( like show her true colour or character)


what if she can't bear the usual hustle and bustle in marriage and decides to quit? ( marriage isn't all smooth)

No matter how extremely patient,careful,prayerful,diligent and all put together we can ever be in choosing a spouse,marriage will always be like a mystery box which could present us with a good content,a bad content or a manageable content and no matter how sweet that guy or lady may seem during the years of courtship, always expect the worst while you work for the best.

As for me, once i see a lady that is pleasing to my eyes, a good cook and also fears and loves GOD then im good to go and ready to tolerate because no matter how many times you change partners, everyone you meet will always have a reason to like or dislike them
