This is a touching story for our ladies to take a cue from and understand that most great men have passed through terrible times and im so positive that if he has had a lady stood by him during his hard days,he won't be confused as to which lady to marry because most of our stars are happily married to their long time girlfriends.

The morning of Jan 1st 2009 was one of the worst of my life. I went to Church the night before to pray in the new year... and there I poured my heart out to God. You see, i moved back to Lag on Feb 14th 08. It was a tough decision quitting my well-paid engineering job in nyc and moving back, but I felt incomplete and unfulfilled. That decision however, led to a tough year. I had gained some small popularity in music, but fame comes way before fortune in my line of work.

So yes there were videos on tv, but I was flat out broke. I'd spent all my savings on my music business.. I was driving a beat down car that broke down on every possible major road in Lagos, and I had resorted to "borrowing" 5k from my manager weekly, to fuel my car and buy recharge cards. I'd started second guessing my decision. Shld I have moved back at all? Shld I have listened to folks and stayed in nyc? It was hard. I wasn't getting any show bookings, infact Segun & I used to show up to events wayyy early just to make sure we could get inside, and times without number we wld beg & plead to get 5 mins to perform on shows only to get turned down. I was frustrated. Why wasn't my music working here? Why couldnt ppl see what we saw?

Maybe I wasnt meant to be here? And then after church that morning, I got accosted by armed robbers, driven around on the joy-ride-from-hell, roughed up, and robbed of everything on me. Phones, money, jewelry, ipod, hat, shoes, u name it. They kept threatening to shoot me, but I just kept praying psalm 91 and somehow I made it home to Segun's house in one piece. And while I was grateful to be alive, I sunk into further depression. For a week plus I wouldn't leave my room. I felt like my whole world had come crashing down, and like I had nothing to show for all my effort and prayers. And then Segun walked into my room and said "hey bro.. I know it's really bad right now. But the good news is, this is rock bottom. U have hit it, and ur still alive. It can only get better from here, but U can't let it defeat U. U gotta get up, dust it off, and channel all that nervous energy into making music again!!" I was in shock..

I was in shock. How did he expect me to just shake everything off just like that? My mental state was a total mess. I didn't have a penny to even pay for the studio time, and even my car had been bashed. I said "bro even if I want to record, how would I pay for it?" He asked who I'd wanna work with and I said Cobhams. He asked me to find out how much it would cost... I did. The next day he walked into my room with the entire amount in full that he had borrowed from someone. Plus extra for cab fare.

I paid for the Cobhams sessions, and the very first song we created was "Strong Ting".. till date one of my biggest hits in Africa. The requests for performances started coming.. I started actually receiving airplay. Ppl finally started understanding me and my music, and better yet, they ACTUALLY liked it! My life changed from that moment and so did my finances.


God has used Segun to guide, direct, help, support and save me on too many occasions. I want to wish my big brother and role model a veryyyy happy birthday, and pray for him that he and his family will never know lack in Jesus name. For the seeds of kindness, love and support he has sown in my life and many others, may God bless him and every generation born of him. I love you forever, and I look up to you.

I shared this particular story because I also want to encourage y'all. I know life can be hard and harsh, but don't give up hope after the darkest of nights, because your morning is right around the corner.

I am impressed with this quote and that reminds me of a thread i created months ago:

If i were a lady and i find myself in a situation where i have to decide whether to break up with a sexually unfaithful hubby or not,given the hopeless cheating nature of most men,before i make up my mind on what to do i will ask myself these very important questions;

1.Can i remain a celibate forever?
2.Is there a guaranty that the next man will not do same or even worse?
3.As a sexually active lady who is out of my marriage is it really worth it leaving a cheating husband to start sleeping around with men that may likely be cheating with me on their ladies too?

There is more to a woman's life than hinging her happiness on a man's fidelity towards her or freaking out over a man's sexual infidelity and the best any lady can do for herself is to expect that polygamous side of her man to manifest someday irrespective of the unfading love he promises from time to time and if that never happens,good but if it does happen you are prepared emotionally anyways and the lady should switch to "indifferent mode" and start seeing that man as a mare sex partner who services her whenever she needs it and no longer a faithful husband to her and she must never think of revenge but should focus on her life and that of her child(ren)

This is one of the greatest secrets why our mothers stayed in their marriages and this is also one of the best ways to be happy in any marriage any lady finds herself because no man is really worth the headache and nobody has the key to your matrimonial happiness except you.

This write up is not about justifying infidelity or about asking a woman to stay with a philandering hubby but an humble advice for any lady to consider and weigh her choices before making up her mind.

Hmmm as innocuous as the embolden may sound i think i would like to drop some notes regarding it.

My school of taught have never ever seen ladies as second best or intellectually dumb but i'm always put aback when i hear guys use some derogatory remarks on women and most times when a guy and a lady starts a discussion that seem to be like a debate you hear guys say "se oro obinrin ni o ka kun" meaning "dont tell me you are regarding a lady's words"

This becomes quite worrisome and a total deviation from my social and intellectual stand-view because i will be the last person to waive a lady aside and see them as intellectually dumb hence must be ignored especially in areas of intellectual discussion.

I believe that respecting people's opinion no matter how dumb it is and discussing issues to a logical conclusion is the opium of a developing mind so if we men generally see ladies as second class in areas of intellectual discussion and just ignore them then it will be a terrible stigma on ladies and will never put them in their right place.

Nevertheless i have realized that most ladies get overly sensitive,defensive,abusive and sarcastic rather than discuss issues intelligently and im beginning to think in the direction of these men who believe its a waste of time having intelligent discussions with the female folk and this indeed is a sad situation.

As a man with ample experience in life,i have had several experience and i can tell you first hand that most Nigerian ladies especially the ones who are not financially independent will give you serious issues if you insist on no job hunting policy.


So the bottomline is that if you truly want your lady to give you breathing space,ensure that she has her own viable source of income else...

Sorry dearie, i totally forgot i was discussing with an adolescent with no experience of any affair so when you are 30 whether married or single,please come and discuss sensitive topics such as this. And please don't quote this.

For the mature ladies please understand that a job is not a guaranty of financial security and the fact that your business is booming right now is not a guaranty of financial independence. This is no sadistic stand-view but a fact. The only guaranty for success in life is determination to excel against all odds.

I have seen millionaires crash to nothinaire and i have seen people lose their jobs in a flash so the most important thing is to go into any affair you desire with optimism and seriousness of purpose and take the bulls by the horns.

While don jazzy was frying buns at a popular bustop in Lagos i guess he will be seen as jobless,when patoranking was selling rat killer i guess he will be a no for many ladies but today ladies want them because they are typical example of successful guys. Every wealthy guy today was at a time jobless and financially depressed so if you say NO to a man today because he has no job or enough cash why must you say yes to him tomorrow when he is ok?

For the guys i would like to advice that you must try never to flaunt the fact that you are financially ok when you meet a lady except you really don't want a wife but a fling.A lady meant for you will love and want you even if you are damn broke and jobless. Just show great zeal in making it and have great drive.

I am 35, (will be 36 in january) I just lost my job and I am pretty sure I'll get a better one soon. Problem is I have not been in any serious relationship for a while (4 years) and I am seriously thinking of settling down , I'm torn between searching now or to wait till I get a good job and be in a better Financial position .
I have not been lucky in my past relationships and havE long come to the conclusion that women are driven by money and don't see beyond their present situation.

Men use these words when they want to express some form of feelings towards their ladies and ladies likewise use same words to show affection but the truth is that the love of these people are so short-lived and unreal and a little tilt in the emotional balance will reveal the truth.

But there is a man who loved us all so dearly that he went through unimaginable sufferings to save us all from eternal destruction.

Many film makers have tried to show the suffering he really went through but none of them have come so close.

His skin was ripped apart and eyes blinded by whip of thorns and laced with shattered glass.

Crown of thorns forced down his skull. Brutally crucified naked and formless on the cross. All these christ endured to save you and i from sin and death.

All he is asking from us is to love him as he loved us,he wants us to accept him as our saviour and live together with him in heavenly paradise when we leave this temporary sinful and wicked world...

He is reaching out to you this moment...will you accept him?

Many people all around the world are asking this question." why was Jesus crucified"? Was it really necessary? why did GOD have to go through this means to save the world when he has the power to just do it? In fact, was there any sense in Jesus being crucified?

According to GOD's words, THE LIFE OF A CREATURE IS IN THE BLOOD (Leviticus 17:11)...This is a mystery.

in the book of (Leviticus 16:34), God told Moses that an atonement is to be made once a year for all the sins of the Israelites by sacrificing a lamb and as the lamb is slain, all the sins that the Israelites have committed in any way is forgiven them instantly without any record in memory and they are seen by GOD as sinless.

In fact, the law requires that nearly everything is cleansed with blood, and without the shedding of blood there is no forgiveness. (Hebrews 9:22).But this was getting so monotonous that each year a lamb has to be slain so Jehovah in his infinite mercies had to find a way to make a one time sacrifice for the whole world and not just Israelites. And that cannot be done with the blood of animals because it is impossible for the blood of bulls and goats to take away sins of the whole world. (Hebrews 10:4)

So GOD sent Jesus to the world to be offered as one time sacrifice for the world of sin, to abolish the yearly sacrifice and that whosoever will believe that he was offered as a sacrifice and his blood shed on the cross to save us from sins will be automatically saved.

This was why when Christ came into the world, he said: "Sacrifice and offering you did not desire, but a body you prepared for me for you were not pleased with burnt offerings or other offerings for sin so Here I am--it is written about me in the scroll--I have come to do your will, O God." (Hebrews 10:5-8 )

So Jesus was slain as A LAMB on the wooden cross for the permanent sacrifice for the sins of all humanity.

This is why whenever we pray to GOD to forgive us our sins IN THE NAME OF JESUS(the lamb that was slain for our past, present and future iniquities), he will always forgive us just like he always forgave the Israelites whenever they sacrificed a lamb.

GLORY HONOUR POWER AND ADORATION TO JEHOVAH FOREVER MORE. AMEN!

YOU CAN MAKE HEAVEN EVEN IF YOU FALL INTO SIN EVERYDAY OF YOUR LIFE.

What you are about to read will change your life forever.

After reading this, you will be filled with indescribable peace that surpasses all human understanding because you will know for sure that you no longer have business with hell but guaranteed a place in paradise.

Some may call it heresy but that is exactly what the devil wants you believe it is whereas it is the greatest truth GOD wants the world to know and the devil never ever wants the world to know. This is why 99% of pastors will never preach it.

Read on:

1. Do you know that in the past before Jesus came to pay the permanent price,the Israelis which were a symbolic representation of GOD's people were commanded by GOD to make animal sacrifice for atonement of their sins?

This means whenever they fall into sins or commit sinful acts,once they sacrifice the animal, all these sins are automatically wiped off by GOD.

2.The crucifixion of Christ has taken away the sins of yesterday,today and tomorrow: Unlike the repeated sacrifices made in the past for the cleansing of sins each year or anytime they sin,the death and resurrection of Christ has cleansed us from the sins of the past and that of the future.

3. No matter how hard you try, As human beings, it is impossible to be sinless and GOD knows this.

My dear children, I write this to you so that you will not sin. But if anybody does sin, we have an advocate with the Father--Jesus Christ, the Righteous One.(1 John 2:1)

4.Many people in hell fire today have no business been there but because the devil prevented them from knowing this truth, they gave up their salvation making conclusions that they are no good for GOD's kingdom.

5. Most of the Bible heroes were not righteous by human standard.

The Bible does not attempt to conceal the foibles of the great people that adorn its pages. Abraham, Isaac, Moses, David, etc., were normal human beings. They sinned like all other offspring of Adam who have matured to a level of personal accountability (Romans 3:10, 23). Jesus Christ was the only exception (Hebrews 4:15; 1 Peter 2:22).

6.We can never become perfect through our own effort. Our sinful human nature and past sins prevent us from living a perfect life. Christians can claim God's perfection only through Christ Jesus (2 Corinthians 5:21).

Christians are perfect only through the one sacrifice that Jesus made. Scripture says this very clear:
"Because by one sacrifice he has MADE PERFECT FOREVER those who are being made holy." Hebrews 10:14

7. Anytime you sin whether knowingly or unknowingly, simply go on your kneels and ask GOD to forgive you in the name of JESUS(A symbol of animal sacrifice Israelis make each time they sin against GOD)

8.Once you have sincerely giving your life to Christ, you can't lose your salvation but you can willingly give up your salvation which are practically two different things.

This is the case of many people wailing in hell today. They have at one point giving their life to Jesus but because they still find themselves, fornicating, committing adultery, drinking, smoking and doing several other things they were known for, they simply gave up rather than continue to ask for forgiveness in the name of Jesus and also ask the spirit of GOD to help them stop these sinful habits.

Stop condeming yourself friend, 99.9% of believers will battle with one sinful habit or the other till they die.Its about trusting Jesus to forgive them each time they fall into this sinful act but the first step is to accept him as your lord and savior then ask the holy spirit to help you overcome these sinful habits and try your best to allow him.

This article is not to encourage believers to purposely or deliberately sin everyday as this means they are slaves to sin but its to make every believer understands that the battle of righteousness is fought till the last breadth we take and must never at anytime or the other give up their salvation if they fall into sins repeatedly.


CONCLUSION: The grace of GOD is not for us to enjoy sinning and continuously ask for forgiveness but its for us to live above the power of sins in our lives(Romans 6).

But if everyone alive today gives their lives to Jesus and hold on to their salvation no matter how hard they struggle with sins. Heaven will be a home for all.
