Tnx a lot guy 4ur response. As we speak nw,marriage preparations ar at a halt

You don't have to hold a massive celebration, go to the registry and make it legal so your pregnant fiancee can become your pregnant wife. When you make it, you can throw a big party if you want to.

I hat to hear i to but entrepreneurship is the way to go because the laour market has only supply these days, no demand at all. Look inwards for a thing you have a flair or love for and see how you can turn it to steady income. It might take a while but with FOCUS and 'strategic wisdom', you'll get there. Pele

Thankfully, the woman is past her child-bearing age so there shall be no further breeding of this face. Hallelujah
Happy married life to them though, use what you have to get what you want.

The Nigerian Police is a total failure. All they do on the roads is to maim and harrass, they need to be taken out one after the other really.

Health / Re: Weight Loss Success, Please Share Your Story by tollu: 9:22am On Jan 18, 2012
Between August and October last year by using weight loss DVD's and modification of my diet. Reduced my oil intake and portion sizes. Cut out soda and chocolates almost completely
Ate normally, subscribed to fitness sites and even lurked around on NL's own fitness thread (it's somewhere on the Health board, usually on the first page).
I lost 6kg and was doing ok, maintained the weight loss till December 20sth then totally went berserk during the holidays ate chocolate chip cookies HEAVILY all in the name of Christmas. Come January 2, I was 2 better kg heavier! The hens came home to roost.

I haven't started using my DVD's yet but started walking to bustops, ignoring the elevator at work and trying to eat sensibly. As of now I've lost the 2kg gained over the holidays and I'm ready to get back on course, continue my journey till I get to my goal.
I consider myself a slow loser and prefer it that way, make small and measurable goals.
Make no mistake, it's a lifelong journey and with the right directions, it's a bearable one and you won't get lost.
If you fall off track, don't beat yourself up and say it's too hard, just run, walk or drag yourself back on track.

Politics / Re: Pdp Accuses Cpc Of Inciting Nigerians by tollu: 6:08pm On Jan 13, 2012
Let us assume, for argument's sake, that this accusation is true. There is a yoruba adage that says "bi ogiri o ba la enu, alangba o le ko wo" (if a wall doesn't have holes, lizards will not be opportuned to live in it).
If Jonathan had ever shown any shred of commonsense, nobody would have been able to get the masses up in arms against him.

PointB:

^^^^^^ ^^
Tell us how easy is is for a poor man to stockpile food and money. And while you are at it, kindly educate us on how the tomato and vegetable seller can preserve his/her produce during the indefinite strike whiles at the same time have enough money for food.

like I said NLC remedy is more painful than the malaise it seeks to cure. It is elitist!

The poor people and market women are more than willing to embark on this strike. People have gone on hunger strikes in the past.
Help the less privileged around you.
The vegetable seller shouldn't buy too much stock from Saturday, if they have any left they should barter it. Give me Ugwu, I give you rice.

Let us adopt this as a strategy, any policeman that kills a protester, leyt mark him out and lynch him to death.

If we do it to 1, 2, and 3, they will all be too scared to shoot. I know their mentality.

Please let us take a cue from here

Your head correct jare!

Onyocha:

with the recent remarks by General Buhari on fuel subsidy and his sugggestion/recommendation reducing the expenditure and salaries of government officials right from the top,and GEJ too many blunders, incompetence and inaction,if the presidential election is to hold today who would you vote for:GEJ or Buhari?

it would be wonderful for the moderators to add a poll to this thread.let this thread serve as a nairaland vote of confidence or "no confidence" on GEJ.

You can add the poll your self

It's too late to cry over spilt milk, let's just hope lessons would be taken away from this episode and people listen to the plans and passion that aspirants speak with. Look at their antecedents and the people backing them.

@Topic
This is the time for us to be our brother's keeper. The market women should trade by barter, the well to do people should assist the less privileged around them. It's better to suffer this small discomfort compared to what we have been experiencing and will continue o experience.
Make no mistake, the current administration is insincere in its purpose and communication. THINGS CANNOT BE DFFERENT IF WE CONTINUE ON THIS PATH.

I believe there's a relationship of sorts between beaf and Omokri. If they aren't the same person, then they are colleagues in the same unit.

Politics / Re: Kano Protest In Pictures by tollu: 10:56am On Jan 05, 2012
People have often said that the Northerners are the most politically savvy of all.
Whether they would have come out to protest if the president were a northerner or not is not the issue. The issue is that they are suffering and standing up for what they believe in.

It sad that one cannot say the same for some other regions, the apathy is unbelievable. We've all been shouting 'Revolution' and now a chance has been created for us to protest and sit still but so many people are still talking without thinking deep.
What am I saying sef? Do you need to think deep before getting angry about this?
Nobody is asking you to bear cudgels and guns, YET.

It would be better for you to serve as a credible source. Don't be lazy.

If no, nor vex.
