Here's their 2019 recruitment, they allowed 26 years and below. That was before COVID lockdown o.
Now, after a whole year 2020 went to waste and many students wasted extra time at home because of ASUU strike, they decide to even lower the age limit further, just because the government is not doing anything to check their excesses.
Many other forward-thinking firms even changed theirs from 26-27, but Polaris is reducing theirs to 25. There was a country o. #smh.

That girl is seeing and fucking someone else. The only reason she will come back to her senses and reality is, if the guy fall her hand bigtime!
So my advice for you is, LET GO OF HER totally and never call or reach out again. If she makes a u-turn to come back, she will be the one pulling the strings and you wouldn’t have to stress.
Find another babe and move on! If you deem your new babe better off to spend your forever, do not take that idiot back out of sentiment even if she comes back. Else na regret becoz gals like this have the 99% tendencies of repeating same and cheating in marriage. Enough said.

Mine was even for SIX WHOLE YEARS, cos we started dating when she was still young- about 18 and in 100 level. I had similar episodes, not once, not twice. It gets you confused, you want to leave, you want to stay, if you leave, she comes back with her mess, if you stay, you remain in the mess. Truth about such girls is they're seeing someone else. It surely isn't an easy experience that's why you brought it here but the earlier you lock up and completely forget about them, the better for you. These stories usually happen to good guys who stay in a relationship with just one girl over a long period of time hoping it will end in marriage. We both got married the same year we finally broke up, to different people of course. |

SOME NIGERIAN GIRLS. 1. At 14, they are the fine sweet teens. 2. At 16, they wanna roll with older ones. It's fun being the new hottie in the group. 3. At 18, they probably have had 1st sex. They cling to this one guy & talk all about how they won't leave the guy. 4. At 20, they might be at the University. They make new male friends & slowly lose interest in the former guy. 5. At 22, they make friends with girls who wear more expensive clothes & who also date expensive guys. These set of girls use posh phones, so they get intimidated & need to join the elite school girls league. 6. At 24, they are now porsh! They now roll with rich male friends who they scam & take money from for mere sex. At this point, if a random guy chats her up, she might snub! If you ask her phone number, she makes you feel like a stalker. They prefer guys who actually want to spend a fortune on them. 7. At 26, the trend continues...fun, posh & money remains the keywords because she has changed her mindset & increased the standards she wants in a man, money. 8. Between 26 - 27, she is a maid of honour for her friends. If she was lucky enough to be in a relationship, she'll leave if any misunderstanding should come up. She then sees herself as every man's spec, so she believes she'll be rushed like agege bread in Ojuelgba. 9. At 28, all those guys that were telling her how beautiful she is, how they love her even she was in a relationship. She decided to give two of them a chance. They came, explored her and after two weeks, stopped picking her calls. She decided to give many a chance, but same thing happened. She went back to her ex that was disturbing her while she was with the old good guy, but same thing happened. She then decided to have flings with anyone that comes her way. 10. At 29, none of those guys proposed... 11. At 30, night vigils, adoration ground, 5nights of glory, Uyo miracle crusade, Naija miracle crusade & Shiloh... 12. At 32, the same girl who refused giving phone numbers to some serious guys goes to Linda Ikeji's blog, Rant HQ, Ibom Crush, Port Harcourt Rant, Ibom Rant, Singles Dating sites, & posts " Hi I'm Stephanie, I'm 32 & searching for a serious relationship. Call me on 0810000000800. God punish Satan. 12. At 35, they start running to churches begging Papas' to pray for them. Papas' will fast, pray and speak in tongues, roll on the ground, visit the mountains for special prayer sessions but no way. 13. At 40, they begin to see their family members as witches, wizards, principalities and powers. 14. At 45, they become the most active church workers with tears dropping from their eyes every morning and night. 15- At 50, they become mentors and public motivational speakers to young girls. They can even write motivational and spiritual books. That is how they'll tell you they decided to abstain from men so they could worship God in spirit and in truth. My dear receive God's power to have sense so you don't cry tomorrow. This is 2021 so wise up ladies. Lalasticlala

Nedusnap: I and my secondary school classmate started the journey to travel to Germany for study purposes in 2017. I was already enrolled to a masters programme im Nigeria then, so I thought I should complete it before moving to Germany. FFWD —> I supported my friend to travel and promised myself I will walk in his steps the ff year. So in 2018, forced by circumstances, I made the decision, prayed to God about it and He marvellously made a way. My decision brought me to Nairaland where I got lots of help from this community of fellow education sojourners. My Bad, I did not return the favor of giving back like others do. So that is the goal of this post- to give back in the form of good counsels which what I have learnt from my experience so far. I hope this helps:
Plan your application: for me, it took one year to prepare for my coming to Germany. Yet, when I arrived and studies started, I realised I wasn’t as prepared as I thought I was. Kindly take note of the following: - Choice of course: choose a course you like. Don’t be fascinated or fantasied by what you don’t know and hope they will teach you here. Well, I am writing about MSc. Programme which I know about. It is more about personal work. Plus check the job market for prospective job opportunities after your studies. This depends on if you want to stay back in Germany after your studies. - Choice of school/study city: choose a school you like. This may be surrounded by many other factors but check the school and be sure it is what you want before you apply. It is a good idea to consider a school/city where it is easy to get a decent part-time job and where the cost of living is not so high. Especially if you have in mind to self-finance your study. - Application procedure: ensure you fulfill all the requirements before you apply. Don’t lie in your motivational letter, it will shoot back at you. Meet all the requirements before you apply so that when you get admitted, you will have some confidence that you can do it. That way you will enjoy your study. - Finance: blocked account will finish. Don’t borrow blocked account money to come to Germany and hope you will work/study to pay it back. From my limited experience in east Germany, you may not be able to pay back and this will make you feel unfulfilled and worried and this may make you to start optimising for money which in my opinion is a sure thing to come after your studies as long as you do what you are supposed to do (work hard). - German Language: From my experience so far, this is the holy grail if you plan to stay back in Germany after studying. Start learning now. Plan your learning, set a realisable goal. Stay focused and work hard towards it. If you can get B1 before coming here, You are up to get a good job during/after your studies. Finally, this Nairaland community is very helpful. I am very grateful to you guys because everyone who posted something here made me not to feel isolated during the application process. They made me know I was on the right track. Thank You all and remain blessed.
Next steps: when you come here, try to learn the language. Make effort to learn or atleast make a realisable plan to learn.
I feel exhausted that I am giving too much advice. Not like I am there yet but these are the pieces I could pick out of my 1year experience here.
I wish you a successful application and hope you join us here in Germany, hopefully when the border opens up again.
Don’t forget to return back to the community and don’t forget God in this journey. Bye for now. Please sir, do you think its smart to tell them you're enrolled into another Msc programme while applying for Msc in Germany? |

Akannitommy: Below was my post on related question from March 2020. I tried to share/quote directly but got a message that "topic was locked". Don't know what that means.
PhD is a research work that requires you to be highly independent and curious minded. This can be be displayed in the quality of your research idea or prospective research focus. A 500-words abridged research proposal is a good measure of how you can pass across your ideas in few words. An expanded proposal may be requested in other cases but keeping it simple have always worked for me.
You also need academic preparations in terms of qualifications and grades. A minimum of 2.1 will be good enough to qualify you. Some programs/countries requires you to write standardized exams (GRE/GMAT). This may make up for high 2.2 or low 2.1 grades in places where the exam score are not required. So if you submit (even when they are not required) these could help your case. NB: you stand better chance if your masters is an academic degree (not a professional/terminal degree) - check out status of yours and the difference from experts in your discipline. If you have an MPhil, even better. You may want to do a second masters that is academic (one year) and aim to score high.
Below is the process that has always worked for me to secure PhD admissions in different countries.
1. Choose a focus area and subject you want to research. 2. Write an abridged proposal -- check samples online and in libraries for structure. 3. You may want to develop a more robust proposal as back up in case your program/supervisor requires it 4. Search for programs, schools, or professors who specialize in your interest area. Look at their works and you may even find research ideas from such places. Get the emails and other contact details for any of these that may interest you. 5. My advise is to also look at the admissions requirement and availability of funding in these programs. They are usually open about what comes with the offer, if you get it. 6. One or more research publications in peer-reviewed journals will boost your chances. 7. A good unpublished writing sample - term paper, assignment, project report - may also be adequate. 8. Using the draft proposals to craft a simple (250 - 300 words) inquiry email to prospective supervisors. This is a very important email -- all aspects are crucial -- right to the captioned subject. For instance, Enquiry: Prospective PhD in International Development Studies 9. Send out this email to as many relevant professors as possible. BUT always edit them so you can direct to appeal to the interests of such people. 10. If you receive 3 out 10 replies your inquiries, then you are either lucky or sufficiently good to catch their attention. Reason is they receive 10's of such emails weekly. Don't be discouraged! Some will ignore altogether, some will tell you they are not available or interested, some will request for additional information -- scan transcripts, writing sample, CV etc. If your email and research area meets with someone who is looking to hire a Phd student in that same area, then you are you have crossed a major hurdle. They would usually request a meeting/interview via Skype at this point. If you impress during your interview and they say you can go ahead to apply, your admission and funding are almost guaranteed. You must ensure your focus is always tweaked to match the interests of people you are contacting. There may be other variations to these but this is mostly my personal experience and from friends I know who have also succeeded in their PhD quest.
When you get to this point in your quest, you have my email then you can reach out for more tips. Otherwise, if you have the funds then just put in a good application to many schools and you can get one or two. Mostly, PhDs are not admitted because of your fees but your research potential. |

GeneralShepherd: 15 million naira is about 55K CAD. I am not conversant about Canada but I know making 100k AUD (24 mill) in Australia is easy and you can save up to 40k per year.
Nigerians love to dampen others resolve. For all those talking about bills overseas and taxes,
how do you think the roads are maintained overseas?
Do you not pay bills in Nigeria? Do you all live ren't free and have free food?
I will repeat my assertion, after bills and rent, most people I know in Australia still manage to save up to 40k per annum.
Like every other country, if manage your finances well you will have more money in the bank. You don't need to buy a new phone every year or change your car every two years or buy new clothes every month.
Statistics still show that Nigeria is the poverty capital of the world. You can Google yourself before you claim that people overseas are suffering
Last update ooo, to each their own if you feel Nigeria is better and you are happy stay there. If you feel everyone living abroad is suffering believe that. I am tired of all these mentions telling me that Nigerians are richer than people in the West.
A country where there is evidence of poverty every direction you look. |

Romance › Re: The Multi-billion Naira Sex Industry In Lagos And Its Invisible Players by TOMSY(f): 10:35am On Sep 26, 2020 |
uche87: Akudo earns a salary of less than N85,000 in a month at a struggling company in Lagos. The sole proprietor of the medium-scale enterprise had considered closing down the firm times without number due to its slow pace of growth. For years, he has refused to increase the salary of the busty young lady with light skin and alluring curves which she never fails to show off in tight clothes. She also has no chance of being promoted in any way. The 24-year-old doesn't care about her career. Her job as a front desk officer is just a front for another 'business' which brings the cash. She runs a company within her company and that firm is between her legs. Most of her 'customers' are married men and young internet fraudsters popularly called 'Yahoo Boys'.
She has an active account on Instagram and this is like her own link to the world. It's difficult to understand what she is up to. You need to look closely. Akudo uploads pictures like every normal girl. She makes sure a large chunk of her cleavage is showing, her hips are also exposed out of her short dresses and she poses in a way that her backside is also captured. The pictures are laced with motivational quotes, bible verses and appreciation of God. These are regular innocent pictures we see every day on social media but there is more to them. They are posted as baits with intentions. The 'goods and services' are not conspicuously displayed in the black market but the buyers understand the signals. Once they see them, they make a move and a moneyed deal is sealed like a capital project. Not all ladies are as discreet as Akudo. Others post provocative pictures, twerk in videos, flaunt tattoos, touch on x-rated topics just to tell the outside world they are strictly open for business.
Back to Akudo, she simply goes to popular social media pages on Instagram to make harmless comments. Some might be lengthy, others might be so brief. These comments are for the visibility of her page. Interested buyers who are mostly male folks scroll through the comment section of popular social media pages not just to gauge the opinions of people about issues and incidents, but to look out for people like Akudo. After checking her profile and being satisfied with her pictures, he respectfully sends a message. Akudo initially acts decent but shows her true colours as time goes on. It might be a one-off deal in which they meet at a hotel and the man pays a sizeable amount of money and sex is transacted or a contract in which he becomes the 'friend' Akudo. He constantly helps her out with common material needs while they regularly meet for sex when the need arises. Akudo in turn calls the man her 'best friend, mentor, uncle, zaddy or ex'. When you hear these terms, you need to look deeper.
The business has been fine for Akudo. She never touches her monthly salaries. She drives a 2010 model of Lexus ES 350 saloon car which arrived during the coronavirus pandemic when millions of Nigerians lost their jobs and others took pay-cuts. She attributes her 'success' to God all the time.
Akudo is not alone. Life is tough in Nigeria and maybe tougher in Lagos. It is easy to become homeless because the well-paying jobs are scarce and the house rents keep going up like it wants to explore the heavens. Since Nigerians never share their pains but gains, so that they wouldn't be mocked or regarded as unfortunate in life, the young ladies secretly start to use what they have to get what they want.
How do you explain a situation whereby a lady who earns just N50,000 per month, lives on the mainland and works on the Island, and then easily affords the latest iPhone with other ostentatious belongings. She goes on social media every weekend to share photos of her visitations to swanky restaurants, eating exotic meals and cooling off at 5-Star hotels. These 'online marketers' are always in a hurry to show the world they are 'balling'. It's like they need to convince an imaginary competitor out there.
For ladies who want a bigger chunk of the monies that circulate in the untaxed sex industry in Lagos, they crave for more visibility. They join the entertainment industry where they go into modelling, presentations, reality shows and mostly acting. The big boys stalk the entertainment industry, which is like the 'more you look, the less you see'. In the entertainment industry, you need to look successful to gather momentum. Since you can't engage in internet scam like the male players, you will crawl to the politicians, business tycoons, drug barons and others making easy money, to shore up your bank accounts, so that you can look successful and advance your career.
Since the outbreak of coronavirus globally, the local film industry has taken a hit. It has almost closed down. But this setback hasn't stopped the glory of actresses who have no known businesses or reasonable endorsement deals. They have been flaunting new SUVs on social media as well as newly-acquired houses. The story is the opposite for the men who most times survive on the benevolence of well-meaning Nigerians. Who have the male actors offended? Are they not serving a 'living God'?
Most of the most talented and hard-working male actors only grab the headlines when they engage in crowdfunding to offset medical bills.
With the advancement in information technology and widespread usage of smartphones, social networks have been springing up aside from the major ones like Instagram, Facebook and Twitter. Most young ladies discreetly join them to open business profiles where they transact sex at affordable rates. Most of them are just normal people that can never be suspected to be indulging in such. All you need to simply do is chat them up, agree on a fee, she takes your address and comes down easily using one of the ride-hailing companies. Investigations show sex services are charged according to durations and add-ons. You either go for 'short time' which is a round or two within two hours or so. Those with enough cash opt for 'long rest' which is fixed over the night with about three rounds or more guaranteed, according to the gas in your tank.
The story of this industry can't be told in one article. It is far bigger than imagined. The players are invisible. It is condemned by both participants. Nobody likes to admit it exists but they will always run there for help when the body calls for it. It's like a hospital with numerous patients in emergency wards. It's a multi-billion naira industry without exaggerations. It has changed lives. Many have bought cars, careers, houses, established businesses through this industry. It is called the oldest profession in the world. It is not new, just that the trends are changing. Every young lady seems to be eyeing the sector with a plan to join and support herself. Greed, peer pressure and economic hardship drive the informal industry.
How much is Nigeria's debt again? N31 trillion I guess. If President Muhammadu Buhari decides to track the transactions in the industry with the sole aim to collect taxes, he will repay Nigeria's debts under a period of 16 months, and I mean it.
